I actually think Scott Clifton is much better looking than Chad, but your point is spot on. I think it makes sense his character is bratty with his upbringing, but Michael is a very stagnant character. I would give the character a long break and probably recast. It doesn't help that CD has no romantic chemistry with anyone. His best pairing was Abby the stripper and she got killed by a crane off screen.

I mean, where is he going to go? He's the most vanilla, blandest actor on the planet right now. It's basically a dog fight between Willow, Sasha, and Michael on who can be the most boring. Michael has enough history to be a bit more exciting, but CD looks bored 99% 100% of the time so the chips just fall where they do.

I'll be honest, I thought CD was a total find in 2010. I liked DG's RAGE monkey Michael but I thought CD and his cute puppy face was such a good take on the role. Then like 14 years happened and I don't feel the same.

He's not a bad looking guy and if I met him in real life I would think he was really handsome I assume. He is so played out and I think that really affects perspective because I do eyeroll him ever time I see him. But also CD was a hottie in the early 2010 era.

Chad Duell isn't my type or anything and he did gain some weight. I hate Michael and everything, but I still think he's attractive. I hate his actual character not his looks😂

At the risk of sounding like a HUGE Sonny defender, can he just quit? I know Brenda made it sound nice and pretty, but does he have a successor if he retires? Jason is currently out, so is it Brick lol? I am sure he has enough money and all that, but could Sonny actually say ☮️ and move on without consequence? I also have no idea what the "mob life" actually entails so I am just asking basically.

I was thinking more wholesome. Like Sly facetimes Lucky when he and Aiden are baking some cookies and they all bond. Since I don't buy the narrative that Lucky just abandoned all of his children. But I was thinking unknown Sly could be gay/bi and is just doing it all to be closer to Lucky lol.

The show would absolutely immediatly pair him with Liz lol, but still unknown adult Sly character would probably be an upgrade from Finn.🤷‍♀️ He's teaching Aiden more baking skills obviously

Totally agree. I remember Jenny coming back and saying she was in PC when she was pregnant and no one ever said Sly moved away-he just stopped appearing. I can't really recall all the details of Paul coming back more recently and all that. I just know I have always assumed some Eckerts still lived in PC and the bakery exists and the mentions were intentional.

You didn't ask me, but I always thought it was the same bakery. I was under the impression that some form of the Eckert family still lives in PC we just don't see them.

Off topic, but Wendy Riche looks amazing for her age. In regards to Frank, I tend to agree with mostly everybody and think he's at the very least lost creative steam. His bias for certain actors and characters annoys me to no end. And the useless, bloated cast doesn't help. BUT I do think he's well liked by most, easy to work with and does enough to keep the show's lights on. I think it's time for a change although I need to give PM/EK a few more months to see if they can turn this show around.

I think part of why the early Deception stuff is fun is because they didn't go to deep with it. The early Scott/Julia/Dominique stuff was light hearted and then it transitioned into Lucy vs. Katherine, Brenda/Jagger doing some cheesy photo shoots etc. Nothing terribly serious. This Deception isn't glamourous or fun. Between the talk of how it's going to go bankrupt or how Maxie is one paycheck away from going broke, how they can't find a model, blah, blah. It's almost like I feel "why bother?' if it's all so insanely difficult.

The Deceptor seems to be about anti-aging so it makes no sense to have models that are in their 20's? early 30's? Of course their skin is going to look good. I get what you are saying because it does seem like Lucy, Maxie, etc are very focused on one singular demographic and that's not how life works anymore lol. That just makes way too much sense lol. That would be something I would want to watch. Truth. I find Sasha and Blaze to be the least interesting personalities to sell a product. I would buy something from Brenda, Gia, or Trina. I struggle not to change the channel when Blaze or Sasha appear.

I think Blaze is the show's answer to Deception being edgy? Latinx and LGBTQ. But again, most companies don't just have one single model doing everything. It just seems strange that an entire skincare line hinges on one person. We had this discussion I think. Deception was a spa in the beginning then Laura at some point opened it again I think but the story was scrapped and it just faded away. I am pretty sure all Brenda did was shill perfume. Like the one scent they had was called Deception. It wasn't multiple products No idea what Carly/Laura were selling in the early 2000's when Gia was the face, but it seemed like makeup. And now it seems like skincare and laser products lol.

This is probably an idiotic question because I have seen the more famous clips, but did Richard Simmons have a storyline or was he just the fitness instructor? From his anecdotes and memories he makes it seem like he spent quite a bit of time on set, but I always thought his appearance were more a gimmick even though it spanned a few years.

It also seems like it would save money to use real people. As much as I like the idea of one Face of Deception, it seems like a very dated concept. I also am slightly confused at Deception's concept. Is it just skincare? Do they have make up? Because in the 90's it was perfume, IIRC.

Vanessa is like 5'4" I think. It's hard to tell because she looks close in height to MB, but IR could put her in his pocket. She's just tiny in general, but LW/CW seem to be a lot taller. I am a 5'8" so maybe people just seem small since I am tall? Lol. I just remember Steve Burton was a lot shorter in person than I thought he was. Fixed it for you lol. But I agree that would be a cool campaign.

Yes. Nothing about Joss's life or upbringing screams super dedicated student and willing to work for nearly a decade to be an MD. I know she got a stolen kidney one time and is grateful for the medical profession, but with her very wealthy background I don't really buy the medical school thing. But I also don't buy Willow working 12 hour overnight shifts either. True. On Days I can usually spot the last segment, but I swear on GH I never know lol. I do think a lot of it has to do with watching on Hulu because I don't clock time and I would obviously know GH is on from 2-3 on ABC.

Yeah, I wasn't sure if the Trina thing with school was permanent or not. I feel like most soaps say people are going to college and then lose interest and we just assume they graduate or something. We all know the rumors. We all know something went down between DH/SR. I was just shocked you could see Deidre Hall's disdain emanating from the screen. I figured these two 70 year plus professionals could work it all out. I felt bad for Drake because the entire filming must have been AWKWARD. Anyhow, I usually shrug my shoulders at Marlena's shrinking and stuff because she is the only one in town. But I certainly don't think it was appropriate to ask Nicole if she was still in love with Eric.

I thought I was the only one that noticed. You can feel Deidre Hall's hate on screen lol. Suzanne must have really pissed Dee off. I was also side eyeing Marlena's scenes with Nicole/Holly. Not because of hatred, but her advice was to tell Holly to take a deep breath! And she was asking Nicole, as a Dr., if she was still in love with her own son. That's just really weird and unprofessional.

Joss never seemed intelligent enough to pursue such a demanding job. Joss has just never mentioned a single concern about her career path until yesterday. Anyhow, I wonder if they are going to move away from the whole college side of the story since Trina dropped out? as well. I *like* Lois at Deception and don't mind it. It's just another one of those things where it doesn't make a ton of sense. Because what exactly is Blaze doing if she's not to promotion? Just print ads? If Deception makes so much money from promotion and QVC or whatever the show is called they should probably hire one person to fit all those needs. I'll be honest. They still look like the same teenage boy to me even side by side. Lol

I think NLG is pretty funny in general. She just makes idiotic comments online, but I think she'd be fun to have a glass of wine with. Anyway, I am late to the party and a bit off topic on the thread, but new Aiden looks exactly like old Aiden and if I hadn't read they changed actors on here I would have no idea. Joss wanting to be a Dr. never really worked for me so I don't mind her changing career paths. I do find it strange pretty much everyone on the show is changing careers. Lois becoming a Deception spokesmodel is another interesting choice. She has more life to her than both Sasha/Brook Lynn combined so I guess that's fair enough. I really hate how they are writing Lucy in this though. I am a little torn on the Sonny stuff right now. I feel like it's become obvious how strange he and Ava are both acting and it was subtle before. Carly rifling through Sonny's drawers to see the medicine was funny. Never change, Carly! GH is really getting their moneys worth on that bathroom set lol.
