Isn't Georgie already a teen too? I know they changed actress, but the one that was around during the Charlotte story wasn't exactly a child. She looked at least 13 or 14 to me.

Alan did hit rock bottom much more than Brenda, for example, who had a pill addiction right around the same time. He really struggled and declined for a long time. I do think Alan lost some privileges at the hospital, but I am not sure if it was because his injured hand or the drugs. I just have a hard time remembering his recovery part of the story. I am sure there was one, but at the time I thought it was wrapped up quite quickly. I will say it has been years since I watched that storyline though. Honestly, you would think the actress that plays Violet would turn Frank off from kids for life lol.

I don't think there is any comparison with a young KMC to Jophielle Love (I actually looked up her name!). I can see the comparison with BRS as Emma to JL/Violet. They both could be annoyingly precocious, but BRS had a lot more emotional scenes that she did well enough while Violet is a walking talent show 99% of the time. BRS's take on Emma has chilled a lot now that she is a teen. I am actually surprised they haven't brought BRS back now that she's 18. I know a lot of people on here think Emma should be recast, but I'd give BRS a try first.

I am sure FV is trying to find another KA. I am pretty positive they have used the same kid as Violet since Violet came on the show. I see people comparing Violet to Emma and I never found Emma as annoying. The Nicholas Betchel Spencer stories with Emma and Cam were painful, but BRS as Emma was never as grating as Violet. It probably helps that I actually like Robin and Patrick and most of Emma's family. Congratulations on your sobriety! I wish you continued success. I agree certain characters just aren't made to have addiction issues and truly work the 12 steps on soaps. I do think GH has done a good job with Alexis's struggles. From her life completely falling apart to building herself back up with a continued focus on meetings and sobriety.

I don't know enough about PC and what's canon and not because GH messed with a lot of things and made most of it non existent. Some things exist like Karen being dead, but Livvie is just not real because Sam is not the same. I don't think it's crazy to think there are other bars in PC we just don't see though.

I could see the Lucci pairing quite easily to be honest. I am glad to find like minded people here. My family thinks I am weird because I don't want to watch my nephew perform karate tricks on facetime for an extended amount of time lol JJ, KMc, and even AT seemed like real human children/tweens. I still don't get the concept that every child on soaps now has to be exceptionally smart, talented, sings, writes, is wholly compassionate, etc. Has FV ever met a child?

Let's be real. I am too. I am going to sound old but child actors on soaps today are just too performative. They don't even seem real. There is a difference between being cute and charming and being obnoxious and singing full length songs on the reg. I honestly wasn't sure. I have had to explain to other people why I obsessively check packaging on medicine to this day! NO cyanide in my over the counter pain pills today!!😂

The real life story was brought up in reference to the Hollyoaks storyline? Anyhow, if nothing else now everyone knows on this thread why medicine is sealed these days and it can be deadly to take medicine if the seal has been tampered like the bottle says lol.

A bunch of tainted Tylenol pills sold in stores in Chicago. 40 plus years ago. They never found out who did it. I am not sure how widely know it was or if it was a huge story. I think it was? I just knew because I was born in Chicago and lived there the first 10 years of my life.

That's a real fear. They probably will park Violet with Liz. But is there an actual reason Hayden doesn't want her own child? I think it had something to do with Nik but he's in jail so she's free and clear to come grab her child.

You know I am not a Sam fan and wouldn't care if KMe just stopped appearing one day lol. I can at least admit both DZ/KMe could handle more material and I do think after the shooting I buy the pairing a bit more. I honestly don't care one way or the other, but I do think them getting married would have been more drama filled than Grandma Brook. Re-casting Lulu would be ideal though. Oh, Violet is a nightmare. I just thought she conveyed the emotion today pretty well. Again, if she was shipped off to Hayden tomorrow I'd be fine.

It's so strange DZ left and GH made a huge deal about Dante coming back and didn't do anything with him really. DZ is so charming and charismatic. And while I do think he's a bit wasted on Sam she is a lead too. They are treated like this D level pairing. Honestly, they should have dumped the Brook Lynn/Chase wedding and had a Dante/Sam wedding. The drama would have been so much better with Sonny, Jason, Carly etc and then Violet would not have been needed to sing lol. *although I did think the Violet actress did a decent job today. I am not a child hating, heartless monster all the time lol.

DZ has always been a capable male lead. He was shoved down our throats in 2010, but I do think Dante should be a leading man. Much better than snoozy Michael.

Believe me, I wish I was high while watching GH 😂 Ha! The Tylenol murders! I was born in Chicago and I can't tell you how many times my mom told me about tainted Tylenol. I still use Advil instead.

I'll be honest, but I think more people that I knew in high school had opiate addictions more than alcohol addictions. I am not terribly young and I have know at least 10 people who have died fairly recently from bad pills/heroin/fentanyl. It's timely but it sure is depressing. My mother is a counselor for rehabs so I know more about the program than I need to lol. I just know when you are serious about the 12 steps it's very serious. And much like your sibling the thought is you can't do any mind altering substances in moderation even if it's not your drug of choice.

Aaron seems like a nice enough side kick kind of character. The actor will never win Oscars, but I did enjoy his scenes enough. Aaron does seem sweet.

Yeah. Brenda and Alan (both pill addicts) drank freely as well post-addiction, but I don't believe Lucky ever did. I can ALMOST let Brenda/Alan/Sasha slide because I don't think any of them followed the 12 step program. I didn't even know Curtis was a pill addict until this moment so no idea what he does. Finn seems like he very much followed and completed the 12 steps and that's why he was so disturbed by accidently sipping champagne.

I only saw the living room and didn't notice the stairs, but it appeared very similar. I think the paint was different, but the chair and the couch were either the same or just re-upholstered or something. There are people on here that are much better with sets than I am, but I didn't notice anything different structurally.
