Well, I think there is a difference between not writing Stayla and Stephanie well and needing more family scenes. They seem to spend a decent amount together? None of them currently really have a story. They are more supporting in other stories at the moment. Sure, you can make an argument that Tripp and Joey should be around, but they aren't that interesting lol. Meanwhile, John/Marlena have kids, grandkids, stepkids, etc. running around everywhere in Salem. It's clear Ron prefers J&M to S&K, but I also think there is just more to write with them due to the way the cast is made up at this moment.

So embarrassing. That's honestly one of the reasons I don't like Ric. I know that wasn't RH's fault, but I am sad I had to live through the Marianna story (I think that was her name) I totally get your point about a potential Ava/Ric pairing. It would probably go the same way most of his other pairings went. It will start decent, then get really weird, and then fizzle out because the writers will lose interest. Ava/Ric still might be better than Liz apparently forgetting everything she ever knew about Ric, but not much.

Why would Steve/Kayla get more family scenes than John/Marlena? John and Marlena have multiple family members on canvas. Steve/Kayla can't sit around and talk to Stephanie all day. It's clear Ron favors John/Marlena over Steve/Kayla, but there isn't much more for them to do as family besides talk to Stephanie about her boy problems.

I think Ric only works in B or C pairings to be honest. I don't think Ric is meant to be given leading material. He works as supporting. I am ready for the argument that Sonny/Jason shouldn't be leads, but almost every big story or love interest Ric has been given has flopped. I remember during 2008? (the strike I think) where JFP pushed RH/Ric while Guza was gone with that stupid story with the waitress. There was a real attempt to make him a lead for awhile. It didn't work.

I'll be honest. I have no clear defense for my choice. It's just how I feel lol. And I know it's not popular but I just can't stand Ric. Sonny is mostly a clown as well. I just like him better.

I am frankly okay with dropping the whole Clyde part. Clyde is at Orpheus levels of being played out.

Days is horrible with continuity and can change a story at any time, but I was going to assume any accident Fabby might have been in was a long time ago. Just because it doesn't seem like Aaron or Felicity are currently grieving or have mentioned an accident besides their parents. Honestly, for all we know Fabby is Mark's half sister and the non-Greene parent is the key to all this.

To be fair he was gone for awhile in that coma. GG must got a nice vacay or something lol

Well, that's a pretty popular opinion around here lol. I don't hate Ric on the level I hate(d), say, Gladys or Violet. I can recognize RH is a good actor. I liked Ric in the very beginning but after the whole fake Carly rape I was just so over him and have been since. I will also say the show has rarely known what to do with Ric as a character and gave him some bad stories and love interests.

I was thinking perhaps FAbby was part of the accident that killed the Greene's parents. Maybe she was presumed dead or in a coma or something for a long period of time and didn't grow up in Salem. It seems like Aaron and Felicity did. Mark should have at least a working knowledge of Abby's relative's if he's been in Salem that long and be able to give the basics. Or, you know, just use google to figure it out.

Considering Sonny did just murder someone in cold blood a week ago, I don't really have a defense for that lol. I just like Sonny better than Ric. He's great with Molly, but when I see him skulking around town all sleazy and smug I just have irrational hate for the character.

I saw the complaints about Gabi's dress and looked at it today and thought it was fine. She looked cute. I think Cherie is doing a good job as Gabi. She channels CB a lot. The one thing I notice she does is sometimes talk really slowly like she's carefully enunciating all her words. Some of her dialogue sounds stilted at times because of it. FakeAbby is not doing a good job at all with this act. I assume this took years of planning so I don't know why she or Mark didn't do the most basic history check. At least if she knew who was who she could know who to keep her guard up around and act more natural. I have a feeling this story is doomed from the start. Galen Gering seems like a really nice guy. I am sure he's great to have on set and a team player. Unfortunately, Rafe needs to go. Even Jada just being acting Police Commish was better than any of Rafe's police work in years. I'd let GG go and hire someone new for Jada.

You wound me with such statements!🥲 Sonny is awful, so it's a low bar for Ric to clear. I just think we all had a nice break from RH/Ric so it's nice to see him. Ric is still the worst.

Or at least someone that isn't a career criminal and wasn't in a long term, serious relationship with her daughter lol. I wasn't particularly a fan of the Sonny/anna stuff, but it's more viable than Jason/Anna I guess. It just don't see Jason hooking up with Robin's mom. Not that Anna would hook up with Jason. I just think Jason is super protective about his relationship with Robin.

I thought maybe they were leading toward a Sonny/Anna pairing for a moment before all the BTS stuff happened. I just can't imagine a Jason/Anna pairing. The Robin of it all would make my head explode.

Yeah the audience knows. @j swift was referring to Ava. And Ava does not know whether Brady drove that night. She was talking about the night of the first (double) wedding when speaking to Brady.

I have always liked Spinelli/Maxie. I think it works now especially since Spinelli is a bit more mature and not so hyper and out of control. There was just a time when if I had to hear one more Spinelli "nickname" or "quirky" antic I felt like punching a wall.

The Melinda stuff is weird. Ava was with Kristen when Melinda "text" to take a leave of absence, so it's not like she didn't get some follow up on the situation. It's strange Ava didn't check in, but not entirely out of the realm of possibility. I don't think she knows Brady didn't hit Sarah just that he didn't drive the night of the first wedding (Theresa/Alex) and went home with Fiona. I think she was just planting a seed in Brady's head that he was adamant about not driving on that specific night. And perhaps he didn't the night Sarah was hit.

Marlena would never have to brag about hot sex. We know what she and John are doing lol. Ugh, gosh that's an ugly outfit Diane is wearing. And I can get past it all if I didn't hate the character so much. She was fun for the first 2 or 3 years calling Sonny/Jason out, but it is the same thing GH did with Spinelli. Just keeping a C character for years and giving them story because people liked that side character. Although I actually like Spinelli now.

Diane's suits are so much worse. Marlena has had a long established wardrobe of suits and it's appropriate for her character. Diane wear ugly suits while trying to seduce Robert and talking about the hot sex she's having is 🤮 Marlena would never...

She's complained about defending Sonny/Jason for years! While she was dating Max? the mob flunky at the same time! Every now and again she pretends to like defending those two, but she mostly acts exasperated at having to do her job. Diane's suits are ugly af. So are most of Marlena's, but at least Marlena is a good character. At least you get me. 😂

Her schtick is beyond tired. She's smug and gets Sonny out of trouble even though she knows he's guilty because she's such an awesome lawyer. Then Diane will bemoan and complain about the fact she had to do the job she's paid to do because Sonny/Jason are the worst. Like, lady, just quit then and leave town. Yup. Take you Talbots suits and move on.

Diane is one of my least favorite parts of this show.

Yeah, today was mostly B stories, but I am here for Connie's next victim lol. I like Jada/Paulina scenes. And yay? Rafe woke up. I find it funny Ava is just walking around town these last few days running into different people lol. I get what you are saying about Johnny. He's so Dimera centric and rarely acknowledges his Brady side unless he's talking to Marlena. It doesn't seem like Sami's child would ever be raised so strongly into the Dimera fold especially with EJ being in a coma for years.
