And just imagine someone knocking at Deke's door. He opens and it's... The woman he called mommy the first years of his life - Amber Moore... Who has come to save him from his father's new wife. Just imagine Deacon and Sheila's reactions. I would be soo excited for something like this... But after all this is Bradley Bell and he's done Amber to death. And I really mean... Death. Her last stint on the show was so pathetic. So for that reason only... I vote Pass on it. But still... She raised Deke in the first years of his life. Everytime I see him I get reminded of Amber. She loved him so much... She even kidnapped him when she lost custody. But not like Brad Bell even remembers.

I realized I really missed my favorite hobby - OLTL. ❤️ 🔷 Let's kick things off with the absolute worst so I can stop thinking about it. I'm removing at least 2 points for this. Luna Moody and Max Holden are now part of the cringiest "Friday the 13th" remake ever. Of course... I KNEW IT... Suede was just a poor innocent soul, while the real villain... is... the BIG BAD WOLF... COP. Now our damsel in distress (who won't stop talking to herself while also hiding from a killer) is having a telepathic conversation with the hero - Max. She is sending him clues to where he can locate her... while he is in a skimpy macho-tank top. That's how tacky porn films start, y'all. Seriously, can someone explain how the same show that usually writes complex psychological drama... and deals with nuanced characters... is now presenting this laughable... campy... over-the-top... parody of a horror flick? THE CRINGE when Luna was sending Max visual images through TELEPATHY. A bad look for the whole show IMO. Finally something really negative. It can't be all roses and unicorns. 🔷 Now... here's something a little easier to digest, even though it's still NOT GOOD. I'll remove 1 point for this as well. So, Mortimer has managed to escape the HOUSE OF SEX, which is essentially Tonja Walker overacting as Alex Olanov, who is trying to basically fu-ck him in front of his elderly mother. And where does he find himself? In the Buchanan palace, naturally... and Oh, my... what a twist - he runs into Carlo's ONE TRUE LOVE - Renee. And VOILA... Mortimer is feeling something arise in his pants and his tough-guy persona is beginning to... surface. GIVE ME A BREAK. I want this nonsense to END NOW. 🔷 I mentioned that I would start from the worst and move to the best... so please bear with me. Now, this is something BETTER finally. Dorian Lord is taking legal steps to remove Addie from Asa's residence. She has the support of Kevin and Asa, even though Asa is pretending to be innocent in front of Blair. A doctor is scheduled to visit, and this appointment will determine whether Addie will be placed in a mental institution or not. To help her mother calm down and stop repeating that "Asa is going to take their baby"... Blair did something risky - she revealed the truth to Agatha - SHE IS NOT PREGNANT! Wow... this could backfire quickly. 🔷 Now let's dive into the most exciting part. Victoria Buchanan, who might soon not even be a Buchanan anymore... is behaving like a completely different woman. She is not herself. And this isn't about a split identity... it's about divided loyalty. She is caught between two men... and has embarked on a path of self-sabotage. For some reason, I feel like this woman wants her marriage to fail. So what has she chosen to do? Naturally, she is playing a God-like role to the foolish Leanne, who is desperately pleading to see her child. Now, Mother Teresa is sneaking behind Clint and Kevin's backs, taking Duke to his mother's apartment. While she waits downstairs... however... Sloan appeared like a phantom. Oh... I forgot to mention - Victoria has become a master of deception. She is deceiving Clint about her afternoon plans - she and Renee concocted this bizarre story about how Renee needed Victoria's support after learning about Blair's pregnancy. So now... picture the shock and horror when Viki saw Bo... staring at her and Sloan in the café. Explain this now, Viki. MESS. BUT THE MOST FASCINATING kind of mess. My heart races in suspense about how ALL this will unfold. I want Viki and Sloan to be together so badly. Overall - 7/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clip of the day Bo catches Viki and Sloan together. AMEN. The girls on this show... outshine the boys by miles. As many soaps have that same issue too. I'll never stop repeating that it's a disgrace to have Eva and Kat even in the same sentence as Tomas. It demeans the entire conflict. It the man was worth it... or at least could put together a natural sounding sentence... it would have a looot more blood.

I am constantly amazed when I see KKL rock a sexy outfit in her mid-60s. She truly puts 30-year-olds in her back pocket. It's incredibly inspiring to witness people who are decades older than me still looking as hot as ever. It motivates me to be like them when I reach that age. So absolutely... creating a character for a 66-year-old actress... particularly one as fabulous and talented as VR is not just possible, but a must. I completely agree. In the end... what would a great soap be without its matriarch and patriarch? These women and men have at times carried their shows through countless storylines. Their ability to endure the daily grind of a soap opera at their age is nothing short of inspirational.

I can't believe I'm in the positive spectrum of reactions again. 😂I was beginning to dislike this show so much the past few months... to a point I stopped watching. But now I'm getting hooked again. You all know why. And even though I see some things different... I love reading honest takes. So @Aback and @GLATWT88 - I appreciate both your comments. And I agree about a lot of these issues. I've said so much criticism over the past few months that... you know I do. I've never been ashamed to say what I think. As you all know... I still don't like the overall style of storytelling... The cheap headline of the month/tabloid scandal that always gets a few great episodes and then they flatline. Missing beats. Relying too much on describing and not showing us. But I've also realized this may be what the show is going to be like... at least till they get the ratings high and strong. They want to keep the interest going. I don't like the dialogue 50 percent of the time and I think that trying to make characters like Ashley... and Tomas happen after they've flopped from day 1, scene 1... Is counterproductive. It loses the time and patience of the viewers. Just look how much excitement is generated when characters that we do care about get more attention. We don't need to watch these stunning actresses (Kat and Eva) play with a male blow-up doll. Stop it. BTG needs to cut dead weight quicker. All of this airtime should be given to the characters that work or even new ones... (Wink, wink... Victoria Rowell!) I HOPE TO GOD we don't have to see Tomas for years more to come. If they decide to keep him... At least make him the cartoon we see once a week to laugh at... And don't try to put him in these fatal leading male situations. A sane woman won't be losing her time with this. And here we have two.

Some of the hottest males and females on soaps are in their 50s and 60s... When I see these silver foxes... I say keep em coming. 😍

Some actors in their mid 60s are more viable and look better than younger actors. Just saying. VR would be a gift from God if she ever stepped into BTG. And honestly... The amount of time they give to people like Tomas... when that screentime could be going to actual talents.

The book was also high camp mess, but my teen brain was watching sitcoms and Buffy back then... So I had nothing else to compare it to. I would check out more of the soap version if it was available.

I think the internet is full of wannabe writers and everyone has a different idea about what is/will be sucessful. And that's perfectly okay. In the end of the day what's important is getting those ratings up, up... up. So... I'm supporting anything they have to do in order to make that happen. These first seasons we need to think more of survival than of quality... sadly. Once they gain the loyal audience and make their mark... then we can really get into it. Someone was talking about Naomi... earlier. Well... I think she is the type of character that could really blossom through the years. But this year is not her moment. She has been endlessly boring. All of this could change in the future.

At times... it does feel that way. Indeed. But lately it's improving RAPIDLY. We just need to freshen up the dialogue and I'm good to go.

YES. People are so excited about her. The Hamilton Widow is THE MOMENT. All eyes are on her... now it depends what she does NEXT (what they write her to do) that will make or break the magic. She is a water cooler soap moment that needs to be touched with velvet gloves right now. She could really improve ratings if done right. We don't want a Leslie 2 (one is enough for this show)... and we don't want her to climax (in terms of story) too fast. THE LONG GAME should be their RULE NUMBER 1.
