That's so kind of you to say. And I enjoyed your take today so much. Made me remember things I forgot from more than a half a year ago when I was at that stage. And I agree about what you said about Carlo just being there. Sadly... it doesn't get better. Only worse actually. (when it comes to Carlo) I think I may have to go back to his original intro storyline from 1990 to appreciate him. I heard it was not bad. I think I'm couple of episodes before Todd Manning's arrival... and I'm scared actually. I've heard so much about this character that at this point I don't know what to think.

BTG: November 2025 Discussion Thread
I loved today's episode. I don't know what's gotten into me lately, but I just vibe with the show. It's the Holidays coming and I'm in a good forgiving mood. CHILE, BILL IS SO HOT IN COSTUME. WOOF. BTW... I think coming from a cheating pig like him... everything he said to the robot... was in character. As delusional as it sounded. LOL. Kat continues to SHINE. "I'M CHOOSING MYSELF." YEEEEEEEES GIRL! It's not easy having an obsessed wannabe like Eva following your every step and wanting your every scrap. And now he has the gall to ask her to spent Thanksgiving with the psycho?! HELL NO. And last but not least... Anita was serving BEAUTY in silver. P.S. I love how the show is doing a slow... taking a pause moment. I feel like the characters are breathing... and it's more watchable than ever.

It's interesting how when BTG is doing well/being stable/climbing... some people just don't say a word, they are nowhere to be seen in these topics... but the second the ratings get even a tiny little bit down... it's like GAME ON. LOL. Good for BTG! I'm so happy it's climbing again even if it's little by little.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
The period you are currently watching... up until at least February-March 1992 is quite the transformative phase. People dying, leaving, new people coming in. That continues through 1992, but the first months are WILD change after change. Following that, the show truly finds its footing. And the moment the Blair/Dorian storyline really takes off... is when 1992 begins to reeeally shine in my opinion. Then we dive into the Billy/AIDS storyline (Malone's best work so far), and by the end of 1992 - Viki's Anna Karenina era (guilty pleasure). It's absolutely fantastic. I have just a bit left of 1992 before I jump into 1993. From what I've heard of people telling me... 1993 sounds like a very interesting year.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
I forgot about Jason and Stephanie too. Thank God I did.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
So happy to hear your are watching again. Stephanie was horrible. I almost forgot that she existed but now you reminded me. There was a brief period when they were trying to make her happen...- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....

Rewatched it after hearing the news of his passing. Cried again. He was one of a kind.- BTG: November 2025 Discussion Thread
I believe the second season (or more correct - second year) will blow our socks off. They have been adjusting the show in the past 3 months and making it better overall. There was a lull period before that... that made me scared of the future. But now... I think with the potential of drama coming from all sides... we have so many disturbed bitches... evil people... grudges... opportunists... but we also have love, friendship and family. In other words - all what it takes to make great drama + Tomas. P.S. I'll like a little more promo though. More clips uploaded to social media. A tiktok campaign won't hurt too. They upload 1 clip a day or something like that... but have thousands of followers on tiktok. Why don't they upload more clips when it's evident people like it? That needs to be worked on. I'm just saying.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
A couple of weeks ago, while I was browsing youtube, I believe I caught a glimpse of what you refer to as the Victor saga (I may be mistaken), and it gave me goosebumps. Although I didn't fully understand the situation, it seemed to me they were diving into what began with Blair suggesting Dorian might have killed Victor Lord. This was one of the most interesting moments of 1992... and I felt left out in the cold when they didn't finish it or do anything with it for the second part of the year. There was even an old nurse that Dorian bought off and made disappear. I hope they come back to it soon.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
This sounds like a character arc I'd enjoy watching. Thanks for telling me. 🙂 You remind me of an aspect of soap operas I love and hate at the same time: the recycling of storylines. I dislike it for making the shows repetitive, but I appreciate it when the replicated version is the only version I can see (since for example the classic years are long lost). I think soap operas can thrive when they thoughtfully steal from their own history. The issue is they rarely manage to do it well... as you said - it's difficult to replicate.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Watching the German 1980 episodes tonight... and boy, it's a completely different show. Dorian is so so different. In 1992, she is seen as this unpleasant... unwanted... parasite almost... and every man she meets generally dislikes her. She pursues an early 20s guy who dumps her time and time again. Meanwhile, the 1980 Dorian is an attractive beautiful woman who seems to have her whole life ahead of her. 12 years can change someone to become what Dorian is now... indeed... but the more I watch the 1980 episodes... the more I appreciate the younger version of the character. Robin Strasser has something special too... her eyes stealing every scene. As much as I'm sad that Elaine is going away... now I can't wait to see what Robin will bring to the table in 1993. P.S. Viki is so adorable.- What Are You Listening To?

The best moment is when she asks her - What is so valuable about your life anyway? I scream every time. I know it's disturbing and I probably shouldn't be laughing, but there is this undertone of comedy that Mulcahey executes perfectly. Susan Flannery did all her best work in the late years when he was the dialogue writer.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Thanks @DRW50 This promo looks incredible. The last shot with the kiss is stunning. Is this from the Henry Slesar days?- RIP: In Memoriam Thread
May he rest in peace. A truly remarkable man. Never cried more on a film than I did when I watched his "Swan song".- B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles

Absolutely! IMO Mulcahey wrote the perfect Stephanie... Brooke... and Taylor scenes. Any scene with any of these characters he could do perfectly. At times when he writes for Brooke you could almost sense that extra extra iciness (she was already pretty icy) he gave Iris in Texas. He has this particular style of bitchy, intelligent comebacks that are so memorable, they stay with you forever. Recently I was checking which episodes he wrote dialogue on... and every single one of them had something I remembered, pretty much every one. To this day nobody has written better dialogue for Brooke in the 2005+ era. He KNEW who this woman is. This is the issue the show has in modern days. The dialogue writers have no idea what Brooke is about, they don't know her compulsions, they don't care. She is boring, one note, she hasn't given a smart comeback to anyone in YEARS. And when Mulcahey wrote for Stephanie - she could kill you with words. The verbal assassin. SO BRUTAL. All of this reminds me how important dialogue writers are. How crucial. We've been talking on this topic in the BTG thread for so long.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Up to December 16th, 1992 🦩 "Santa Bo." 🔷 The Holidays are coming... but the mood in Llanview is dreary. AS USUAL. 😆 🔷 Like something straight out of a horror movie.... or "The Joker", Bo Buchanan's mania has officially entered his Britney Spears 2007 era. The only thing left for him to do is shave his head and beat someone up with an umbrella. I'm so grateful to the writers for doing this without rushing. They could have just buried the irrelevant character Sarah and then made Bo fall in love with Nora in 5 episodes. If this was The Bold And The Beautiful it would have taken even less. Instead, they are showing us all the stages of grief and Bo's scary unraveling. The acting is once again... better than 99.9 percent of what I see on primetime. I can't believe Robert S. Woods didn't get an Emmy for this. I really can't. In a few words - Bo became a crazed Santa, bringing a bag of gifts to "The Banner" and then pretty much assaulting one of the women working there. I think it's time for a call to hot Dr. Jonas and then maybe a long stay at the psychiatric hospital. 🔷 It's been hinted at for months now... Hank's negative reaction to his daughter Rachel going out with Kevin. Well it's finally crystalized into the plain and simple - Hank doesn't want them together, because he thinks that Rachel being with a white man will complicate her life. Nora was the one who dared to finally speak about this directly, even though we had Sheila mentioning it too in the previous episodes. But Nora did it without any sweetening or making it easy for him. Sheila was a lot more gentle in her approach. It's yet another controversial subject the show is talking about. Definitely the scene of the day. As you all know, I adore Rachel and if Hank does anything to ruin her relationship with Kevin... I'll be pissed. But that makes great drama! 🔷 Everyone is finally combining forces against Blair. Tina, Cain, Alex... are now joined by Renee and... even Viki. They just can't decide who is going to be the one to break it to him - tell him that Blair lied about the entire pregnancy thing. Renee had this amazing idea - maybe Blair wanted to fake a pregnancy/miscarriage, so that she can then tell Asa that she couldn't get pregnant anymore, in order for him to stop harassing her for sex anymore. It finally made sense to me. 🔷 Viki said Goodbye to Sloan, but the moment her husband went out of town for business (I love how husbands get out of town the moment the wife starts having doubts about them), they met again at the hospital. Viki tried to be cold, but the second Sloan mentioned he is seeing a doctor, her whole expression changed. There were no words, no dialogue. Erika Slezak... in just one expression told us that she still loves him and is worried about his health. I love moments that don't need dialogue. Later Sloan eavesdropped, hearing where Viki will be tomorrow... shopping for Christmas presents. Oh... my... why do I think I know where this is heading? Overall - 10/10 - the show is taking it slow the past few episodes. But I needed a few calmer episodes after so much drama. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Clip of the day Hank vs Nora!- B&B: Old/Classic Discussion & Articles
Before. Taylor ran the poor thing over 7 months later. This is from January 2006... one of the more interesting episodes concerning this storyline. It has Susan Flannery in it, which makes it even better. Also one great flashback to the early 90s when the show wasn't a trainwreck... The end of Taylor's "SAINT" image. "We are all whores in this town." And here 7 months later... Taylor's MESS era officially begins. I remember Hunter Tylo talking about how she hated this storyline in her multiple podcast appearances. - ARTICLE: ‘General Hospital’ Sets New Lows Among Key Demos Amid Disney/YouTube TV Carriage Dispute – RATINGS
