    PART 1
    STACEY’S APARTMENT
Stacey walks into her apartment with her suitcase on her cell phone, but does not shut the door all the way.
Stacey: I just walked in. I had a great time with you, Brett and the kids. I will tell Lindsay that you wanna see her. Love you Morgan.
Jake knocks on the door and walks in as Stacey hangs up.
    Stacey: Jake! You startled me.
Jake: You should close your door. That was Morgan?
Stacey: Yeah I went to see him.
    Jake: How is he?
Stacey: He’s great. However, I don’t get the feeling that you came all they way over here to talk about my little brother.
Jake: You’re right. I came to talk about Los Angeles.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
    HOSPITAL
Cass, Charlie, and Kirkland are in Frankie’s room with Frankie, who is lying in a hospital bed.
    Charlie: How you feel?
Frankie: Like I’ve been clocked over the head.
Frankie tries to sit up and grabs her head.
    Frankie: Oh...my head.
    Charlie: Mom take it easy.
Cass: You’ve had a concussion. You need to rest.
Kirkland: How did this all happen?
Frankie: The last thing I remember was...seeing Aunt Sharlene. Where is she?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
    SHARLENE’S ROOM
John and Gregory receive a shock. They see Sharlene, but...
Emma: Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Emma.
    Gregory: Where’s mom?
Emma: Don’t worry about her. I will keep her safe.
    Jack walks in.
Jack: John can I talk to you for a minute?
    John: What is it?
Jack: I wanna ask Sharlene some questions about what happened at the Cory’s.
John: She’s in no condition to answer any questions right now.
    “Emma” interrupts them.
Emma: Hello? You’re talking as if I’m not in the room. I will tell Jack anything he needs to know.

    PART 2
Stacey turns around facing away from Jake.
Stacey: Los Angeles? What about it?
Jake: Have you ever been there?
Stacey: Derek and I lived there. Why?
Jake: Do you know there was...a period of my life where I have little recollection about.
Stacey: Maybe it was a dream you had or something.
Jake: No this was no dream. This was very real. Specifically, I remember a shot glass, and a woman that I started an affair with that day. She was a beautiful brunette, and if I remember correctly, she just broke up with her on again, off again boyfriend.
Stacey: Where is this woman now?
Jake: I’m certain that she’s in Bay City. She used to live here. She’s a hot shot attorney, and so is her brother.
    Stacey turns around.
Stacey: What are you getting at?
Jake: It was you wasn’t it? You are the woman I was with in L.A.
    -------------------------------------------------------
    Cass: Sharlene should be fine.
Frankie: Did anything happen to her?
    Cass: She’s here.
Frankie (trying to get up): I gotta go see….ow!
Cass and Charlie: Take it easy.
Frankie: I’m going to be alright. Nothing a little aspirin couldn’t cure.
Kirkland: Head injuries are tricky. You should be careful.
Frankie: Something is wrong, and I’ve gotta get to her. I know she hasn’t been herself.
    ----------------------------------------------------------
John: Emma, Sharlene is the only one who knows how this happened.
Emma: Are you new to this? If I let Sharlene out, she will have no memory of what occurred at the Corys. Janice is the one who poisoned Reginald and Carl, knocked out Frankie, stabbed Mitch, and tried to kill Rachel.
Gregory: Are you talking about Aunt Janice? She’s dead.
John takes out his cell phone and scrolls to a specific number.
John: Gregory step outside, and call this number.
Gregory: I don’t wanna leave mom.
    John: She’s gonna be fine.
Emma: There you go again talking about me when I’m right here.
    Jack: Who’s Janice?
John: Janice was Sharlene’s sister, and so is Emma. Her personalities are named after her siblings.
Emma: Janice had to be stopped.
John: You’ve gotta let Sharlene out so she can get help.
Emma: Sharlene is not ready to face what Janice did. Until I think she’s equipped, I will remain in control.

    ANOTHER WORLD EPISODE 57
    Felicia pays vigil to Mitch
MONTGOMERYS HOUSE (creative consultant ML COOKS)
Donna is there with Marley sitting on the living room couch.
Donna: So how are you and Tyrone doing?
    Marley: We’ve never been better.
Donna: That’s wonderful. You know Toni Burrell is back in town. She’s investigating Dr. Taylor’s murder.
Marley: Hope she finds whoever did it. He was a great therapist.
Donna: I know you were seeing him.
    Marley: He really helped me.
Tyrone walks in and makes eye contact with Donna, thinking about when Donna was blotting his shirt…
    Marley: Hi honey.
    Tyrone: My brother’s also here.
Marley: Your brother? You’ve never said much about him.
Tyrone: He goes by Allen Lovett.
Donna: You can take the “tt” off of his last name. His birth name is Allen Love.
Marley: Donna, what are you saying?
Donna: Nicole wrote me letters while she was in Pinehaven. Allen is Nicole’s son. She had him when she was sixteen.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ALLEN’S ROOM
Allen calls someone on his cell phone.
Allen: Rachel I know I’m the last person you want to talk to but I’m very concerned about Amanda. I haven’t heard from her.
Rachel (at the hospital): Allen this really isn’t a good time.
    Allen: I’m…I’m worried about her.
Rachel: I’ll tell you the truth…I am, too. I haven’t heard from her since the wedding and I am very concerned. Mitch was shot and he’s critical.
Someone knocks on the door at Allen’s room.
Allen: The shooter might also have Amanda. I’ve gotta go.
He opens the door and gets a huge surprise.
    Allen: Mom?
    Nicole: Hi honey!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    HOSPITAL
Charlie walks up to Cass with a cup of coffee.
    Charlie: Need this dad?
Cass: Thank you honey, but I don’t need any more coffee.
    Charlie: How’s Felicia?
Cass: Not good. She’s in the room with Mitch.
Charlie: Dad, can I ask you something?
    Cass: Anything honey.
Charlie: Can you tell me about that lady that stayed at the house?
Cass: Nicole? Do you really wanna know?
Charlie: Yes. Don’t leave anything out

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------.
    MITCH’S ROOM
Felicia sits at his bedside with Matt and Lorna walk in.
    Lorna: Any change mom?
    Felicia: No.
Matt: Mom’s outside. Do you want her to come in?
Felicia: No. She’s probably looking after the kids.
    Matt: Do you need anything?
    Felicia: No honey. Thank you.
    Mitch wakes up.
Mitch: Let them help you Mrs. Blake.
    Felicia (elated): Mitch!
    Mitch: Is everybody here?
Felicia: We’re here. We’re all here.
Mitch: Tell everybody to come in.
    Felicia: Of course honey.

    MONTGOMERYS HOUSE
    Marley: Really?
Donna: Nicole had gotten involved with Clayton Montgomery.
    Tyrone: My father.
Marley: What happened to her baby?
Donna: Dad decided she was too young to have a baby, and he didn’t want a scandal.
    Marley: So what happened?
Donna: Reginald paid Clayton to take Allen away.
Tyrone: Wow. I had no idea.
Marley: How could Reginald do that?
Donna: He wanted to protect the family name. Nicole thought for years that Allen was dead.
Marley: Does she know he’s alive?
    Donna: Allen actually found her.
Tyrone: So did Reginald find out what she knew?
Donna: Yes he did, and they started drugging her while she was at Pinehaven.
    Marley: My God. That’s terrible.
Donna: So in order for them to stop medicating her, he blackmailed Allen to help him so they....
Tyrone: Could take over Cory Publishing. Reginald forced him to be a mole. What would Reginald want with Cory Publishing? He doesn’t need to have that company.
    Marley: Greed…or maybe someone else.
Donna: Knowing my father, he’s probably covered all his tracks. I bet there’s nothing connecting him to Allen’s crimes.
Tyrone: So Allen is gonna take the fall for this?
Donna: I don’t think Nicole’s gonna let him. If she finds out what’s happened to Allen, nothing’s gonna stop her from getting to him.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    ALLEN’S HOTEL ROOM
Allen (quickly closing the door): Get in here! Did Reginald let you go?
Nicole: I escaped. I had to come to you as soon as I read about what happened.
Allen: Mom. I’m so happy to see you.
    Nicole: Me, too honey.
    They hug tightly.
Nicole: Nobody’s gonna keep you from me this time my son.
OUTSIDE THE ROOM, REGINALD walks up to the door.
Reginald: Nicole did you really think I wouldn’t find you?
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    HOSPITAL
Felicia, Cass, Rachel, Paulina, Matt, Lorna, Kirkland, Charlie, Lindsay, Dante, Cory and Elizabeth are all in Mitch’s room.
    Mitch (weakly): You’re all here.
Felicia: Of course honey. I’m not leaving until you get up and come home with me.
Mitch: Matt, I’m so glad Mac raised you to be such a fine young man. Rachel I know the circumstances weren’t…ideal…but we made a great son. Lorna, I’m so glad you and your mother made up.
    Lorna: Me, too.
Elizabeth begins to cry and whispers to Rachel.
Rachel: Honey…I can imagine what you’re feeling.
Elizabeth: This is reminding me of…
Rachel: When your father passed away.
Mitch: Your mother’s gonna need you. Felicia, my sweet, darling Felicia, you’ll always be the love of my life.
Felicia: Come on, stop talking like you’re not gonna see us again. You’re gonna pull through this.
Mitch: I love you, Felicia Gallant Blake.
    Mitch suddenly flatlines.
Felicia: Mitch? Mitch! Somebody help us!
The doctors and nurses rush in and clear everyone out of the way and try to revive Mitch, but they fail, and one of the nurses approaches a teary eyed Felicia.
    Nurse: I’m sorry Mrs. Blake.
Cass immediately embraces Felicia as she slinks to the floor.
    Felicia: No! Nooooooo!!

    PART 1
AT THE MONTGOMERYS - Michael, Donna, Marley, Tyrone, Vicky and Bridget are in the living room.
Vicky: Dad where have you been? Are you okay? What happened? Your car crashed on that icy road because you thought I was with Shane. This...this can’t be.
Michael: That guy who died was my twin brother Martin.
Marley: Twin? Grandma Clara had twins?
    Tyrone: Plot thickens huh?
Michael: I promise all of you that I will tell you everything. I just want to celebrate. I’m with my family again.
    Michael turns to Bridget.
Michael: Look at you. My granddaughter. Look at all of you. I’ve missed so much time with you.
Donna: We can’t live in the past anymore. It wasn’t your fault about what my father did.
Vicky: You’re telling me Reginald had something to do with you being gone for twenty years?
Bridget: What did Grandpa Reginald do?
Marley: He held your grandfather hostage.
Bridget: Oh my God. You were all right about him.
Vicky: Dad he kept you from all of us. Reginald deserved exactly what he got.
Michael: I heard about it...and good riddance I say.
Vicky: How long have you been back?
Michael: A little while. There’s a reason I couldn’t tell you all right when I returned.
    Marley: I don’t understand.
Michael: I found out that...I’m Mac Cory’s son, and because of that, I am the owner of Cory Productions.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CORY PRODUCTIONS- Paulina knocks on the door to Amanda’s office.
Paulina: You called? Is it about the hearing?
Amanda: No. Actually it isn’t. It’s about Iris.
    Paulina: Our dear old sister.
Amanda: Turns out our dear old sister is up to something. I’m gonna find out what it is.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile in Springfield - SPAULDING ENTERPRISES
Iris and Cory walk up to an office door, and the name plate reads “Alexandra Spaulding, C.E.O.”
Iris: This is my best friend.
Cory: She’s gonna tell us where my dad is?
    Iris: Of course.
    Alexandra opens the door.
    Alexandra: Well hello.
Iris and Alexandra air kiss each other on each side.
Alexandra: Good to see you dahling.
Iris: Yes dahling it’s been a long time. Oh let me introduce you to Cory Hutchins. Cory this is my best friend, Alexandra Spaulding.
Alexandra: How are you doing young man?
    Cory: I’m good Ms. Spaulding.
Alexandra: Please dear call me Alex. You’re young enough to be my grandson, my grandchildren don’t call me grandma.
Iris: You’re right about that. I had to teach Sarah and D.J. to call me nanna when they were younger.
Alexandra: Please come into my office. I’ve got some news...for both of you.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CAR - Michael is driving Donna…
Michael: I have to go see John and Sharlene.
Donna: John and Felicia came to the house and told me that it was a possibility that you were alive.
Michael: Wow...he was looking for me this time like I was looking for him over twenty five years ago. Wait a minute. You said John and Felicia? They’re not...
Donna: I don’t know. They said they’re not having an affair so…
Donna checks her cell phone and is horrified when she reads a text that says “You shot Reginald.” She tries to sigh silently, but Michael catches her.
    Michael: Donna what’s wrong?
    Donna: It’s nothing.
Michael: We just found each other again, and you’re gonna start us off again by not telling me the truth.
    Donna: I’m not…!
Michael: I’ve known you practically my whole life. I know when something’s wrong with you, and I know when you’re lying.
    Donna: I shot Reginald.
Michael: What? But he was poisoned to death.
Donna: Before he ingested it, I shot him.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAR - Vicky is driving Bridget..
    Vicky: How does it feel?
Bridget: It’s weird seeing my grandfather for the first time. I know you, Aunt Marley, and Grandma Donna talk about him.
Vicky: It’s a miracle. I mean we all thought he was dead, and he just appears to us. I wish he could’ve met your sister, too.
    Bridget: Yeah me, too.
Bridget takes out her phone and sends a text.
    Vicky: You and your texting.
    Bridget: I was texting Lindsay.
Vicky: Honey I want you to stay away from her.
Bridget: I need to find out what was up with her mom coming to the house.
Vicky: Stacey? She came to the house?
Bridget: Yeah. I heard her. She told dad that she was in love with him.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paulina: I wonder if it’s something that could get her out of the company.
Amanda: I’m not too sure, but there is a lot of money that Iris sent to this project named Operation Loco. Regular payments, then they just stopped.
Paulina: You’re officially still working for her. You think she’d run something like that by you.
Amanda (shaking her head as she clicks her mouse): What is this? What is it for?
    Paulina: She’s definitely hiding something.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Iris: So did you find out what room Carl is in?
Alexandra: I called Dr. Rick Bauer. I had him look for me.
Cory: So let’s go see him.
Alexandra: He’s not there. He’s not at Cedar’s, or any other hospital in the city.
Cory, disappointed, gets up, and Iris touches him on his shoulder.
Iris: I’m sorry hun. I heard your mother say that she was taking Carl to Springfield.
Cory: So mom lied again. I gotta get some air I’ll be back.
    Iris: Cory.
Alexandra: Let him go Iris. I need to you to sit down. I could’ve told you about Carl over the phone.
Alexandra opens her drawer and takes out an envelope.
    Iris: What’s that?
Alexandra: Oh dahling, you have no idea.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Rachel: Lisa? Is something wrong?
Lisa: He’s fine. He’s doing great.
    Rachel sighs in relief.
Rachel: Don’t scare me like that.
Lisa: I didn’t mean to do that. I’m just amazed at the progress he’s made.
Rachel: Lisa, a young girl came here while I was talking to Carl about Cory, and then two big orderlies took her away.
    Lisa: Marissa.
    Rachel: That’s her name?
Lisa: Yes I’m gonna go check on her.
    Lisa leaves…
    Rachel: That name sounds familiar.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    MARISSA’S ROOM
A nurse is disposing of a needle when Lisa confronts this nurse, while Marissa sleeps soundly.
Lisa: Karen. What did you give her?
Karen: Propofol. The boss wants her heavily sedated.
    Lisa: She’s my patient!
Karen: Apparently you’re not doing your job.
Lisa: Too much of this is going to impede her progress.
Karen: Well you can talk to the boss about it.
Lisa: Oh believe me, I will.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    CARL’S ROOM
Rachel has her back turned to Carl.
Rachel: The last time I heard that name, was Marissa LaSalle, but she turned out to be Mary McKinnon.
    Suddenly….
Carl (mumbling): I remember...that name, too.
Rachel turns around in shocked elation.

MENTAL INSTITUTION...Steven is with Sharlene in a therapy room.
Sharlene: So did you get your tux fitted?
    Steven: Yes we did.
    Sharlene: Did you see Charlie?
Steven: Briefly. It’s good to see my brother happy.
Sharlene: I remember when Emma got married to Henry. She was on top of the world. It was one of the happiest days of her life. I just wish your Aunt Janice could’ve experienced the same thing.
Steven: I know what happened with Mac Cory and...what she did.
Sharlene: It was difficult to hear when Mitch told me the story. I never thought that my sister would turn out the way she did.
Steven: So that begs the question, why were one of your alters named after her?
Sharlene: She wanted to protect me.
    Steven: Why?
Sharlene: Something happened in St. Croix. I can’t remember what it was. I can only recall leaving the bunker after it was burned to the ground. I just couldn’t handle being kidnapped by my own nephew. When I got back to Bay City, that’s when she started aggressively pushing me to let her out.
Steven: When Janice resurfaced, she went after my great-grandfather. Why do you think she did that?
Sharlene: It could probably be the same reason she tried to kill Carl and Rachel. Some type of payback.
    Steven: Payback? For what?
Sharlene: The only person we can ask…
    Steven: ...is her.
Sharlene: I’m afraid to let her out again.
Steven: But she’s the only one who can help us figure out what happened. It may be what’s hindering your recovery and integration.
    Sharlene seems unsure about situation.
    Sharlene: I don’t know Steven.
Steven: I need to ask her why she poisoned Reginald. Aunt Sharlene, for me to help you, I’m gonna need to talk to her. Let me put you under hypnosis.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAVANAUGH CLINIC - Lisa is in her office when a fax comes over, and she subsequently picks it up and looks at it….
Lisa: Oh my God. That confirms it.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sharlene lies on a long, leather couch. Her eyes are closed, and Steven speaks softly after he has put Sharlene under hypnosis.
    Steven: Janice. It’s me Steven.
Janice: You were named after my brother weren’t you?
    Steven: Yes I was.
Janice: You got me out huh?
Steven: Right. I have some questions for you.
Janice: I know what you’re gonna ask me.
    Steven: Ask you what?
Janice: Why I did what I did. If you wanna know, I’ll tell you.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BAY CITY POLICE DEPARTMENT...Jack Snyder is in his office when he gets a phone call…
Jack: Detective Snyder. Casey Stoner? How are you? It’s been a long time. Yeah, Calvin was a great detective. I met him at a conference once. Your dad was one Monticello’s finest, anyway what’s up? What? Do you know all the red tape we would have to go through to do that? That’s impossible. We can’t waste resources to...okay, alright.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MARISSA’S ROOM - Marissa is in her bed sleeping, and she’s a bit groggy as she’s waking up...she sees a blonde haired lady, through her blurry vision standing over her.
Blonde Haired Lady: Hi there. It’s time.
Marissa: It’s still early. I don’t wanna get up.
The Blonde Haired Lady is Karen...with a needle.
    Karen: You’re not getting up.
Marissa immediately wakes up and realizes, she is strapped down, and begins to struggle.
Karen: You’ve been a bad girl Marissa. You haven’t been taking your medication. You’ve been disobedient to the boss. This will help you sleep.
Marissa: I don’t wanna sleep! Stop!
Karen moves to inject Marissa’s arm, then she is suddenly knocked unconscious by Lisa.
    Marissa: Lisa help.
Lisa: We’re getting out of here.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PART 2 - Steven is talking to Janice. He has Sharlene under hypnosis.
Steven: Why did you push Sharlene to let you out?
Janice: She didn’t have what it took to do what I did.
Steven: What is it that you did?
Janice: I had to avenge what he did to Evan.
Steven: Who did what to Evan?
Janice: I saw him. There was nothing I could do. Evan was on the floor, bleeding. He had been shot. He knocked me out, but I wasn’t fully unconscious. I saw him take a pole and press it on his neck. I was lying there helpless as I watched Reginald kill Evan. I vowed to do something, and I did.
Steven: Okay when I count to three, I’m gonna bring you out of it, and Sharlene will return. One, two, three.
Sharlene opens her eyes and looks at Steven who is shocked.
Sharlene: What happened? What did you find out?
    Steven: She saw him.
    Sharlene: What did Janice see?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CAR - Lisa is driving Marissa.
Marissa: Where are you taking me?
Lisa: I’m bringing you to a place where you belong.
Marissa: This is so confusing. What’s going on?
Lisa: They were keeping you sedated. They didn’t want you to remember.
Marissa: Remember? What are you talking about?
Lisa tries to compress the brake, but the car speeds up.
    Lisa: No!
    Marissa: What’s happening?
Lisa: Someone cut the brakes! Oh God!
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MORGUE…Jack watches as an orderly pulls out a slab...and Jack is shocked at what he sees.
    Jack: What the hell?
Orderly: This looks like a dummy. Something out of a special effects movie.
Jack makes a call on his cell phone.
Jack: Stoner it’s Detective Snyder in Bay City. You were right.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    BOSS’S OFFICE…

    Steven: I think I owe you a cup-a-joe.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
GRANT’S MANSION - Kirkland is there with Grant. Grant is pouring himself a drink.
Grant: Your wedding’s coming up soon.
    Kirkland: I know dad.
    Grant: Where’s Charlie?
Kirkland: She went to Chadwell with her mother.
Grant: How can they go to Oklahoma when Charlie’s about to marry you?
Kirkland: They went to get Emma’s wedding dress. I didn’t come to discuss my fiancee. I gotta go meet Steven.
Grant: Well go on and meet your brother. I don’t want to keep you.
    Kirkland gives Grant a card.
    Grant: What is this?
Kirkland: Call him and he’ll fit you for your tux.
Grant: You want me to...stand up for you?
Kirkland: You were always a smart man. Later dad.
Kirkland leaves and Grant smiles…and then he gets a phone call.
    Grant: Christy.
Christy (on a cell phone, from prison): Any news?
    Grant: I’m working on it.
Christy: Well you need to work a little harder. You know what I can do to you. Get a move on.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE LOVE MANSION...Michael comes downstairs to the living room as Donna is sitting on the couch.
Michael: How long have you been down here?
Donna: Ever since I got out of bed.
Michael sits next to her on the couch.
Michael: Talk to me. Something’s on your mind.
Donna: A lot of things Michael. Someone sent me the gun I shot my father with, and a text message saying that they know what I did. It’s probably the same person who burned down the Harbor Club.
Michael: The police don’t have any leads?
Donna: None that I know of, but what’s really eating at me is Victoria. She came here very upset. I don’t know if she and Jake are gonna make it this time.
    Michael: You were telling me.
Donna: What about Bridget? If Jake and Victoria break up, what is this gonna do to her?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    AT THE MCKINNONS…
Bridget: Dad? Tell me you’re not gonna leave us again.
Jake puts his hands on Bridget’s shoulders and faces her
Jake: I’m never gonna leave you honey. Ever.
Bridget: So you’re not gonna move out like you did last time. You’re gonna stay right?
Vicky: I’d like to know the answer to that question, too.
Bridget steps past Jake and approaches Vicky.
Bridget: If dad leaves, it’s all your fault!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Michael sighs...
Donna: We need to go over there and see what’s going on.
Michael: Donna you know we can’t do that.
Donna: Why not? We have to make sure that Victoria is happy, and that her family isn’t torn apart.
Michael: And we have to let Jake and Vicky work it out. It’s their marriage, not ours.
    Donna: But…
Michael: Shhh. No buts. If Victoria needs us, she will call.
Donna: You don’t understand Michael! Our daughter needs her parents to be there for her.
Michael: When she comes to us. Now come on upstairs with me...to bed.
Michael kisses Donna on her cheek, and works his way down to her neck, and Donna chuckles…
Donna: There’s nobody else in the house. Why do we have to go upstairs? We can stay right here...
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joy: Why should I take this from you? You don’t even know how I like my coffee?
Steven: Something tells me you’re a latte kinda gal.
Joy: You don’t have to do this okay. Thanks but no thanks.
Steven: Come on. Take the coffee, just don’t throw it away in front of me.
Joy tries to hold back her smile, but it seeps out like air out of a small balloon hole.
    Steven: Therrrre it is.
Joy: I normally don’t drink coffee this time of night.
Steven: Maybe we can...get dinner...at an earlier...time of night...in the evening.
Joy: Sounds like you’re asking me out on a date.
Kirkland walks up to them and Steven turns around to face him.
    Kirkland: Hey bro sorry.
    Steven: Oh hey Kirkland.
Kirkland: I went to my dad’s.
Steven: Hey let me introduce you to….
    Kirkland: Who? The air?
    Steven: She’s...she’s gone.
    Kirkland: Talking to yourself?
Steven: Funny little brother. Let’s head to mom and Jake’s. I’m sure they have plenty to talk about over there.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Vicky: Bridget…
Bridget: You lied to dad about Lindsay. Every time we have problems it’s because of you.
    Jake: Bridget go upstairs!
Bridget: If you leave, I’m going with you.
Vicky: You heard your father. He and I aren’t finished talking.
    Bridget goes upstairs.
Vicky: So what’s your answer Jake?
Jake: I can’t give you one right now.
Vicky: You’re just gonna leave us in limbo. Is that what you’re gonna do? Be a man Jake!
Jake: You’re not really challenging me right now.
Vicky: I am! You stay here! You fight for our marriage! You fight for our family!
Jake: The only thing I seem to be fighting is you.
Vicky: We love each other Jake. We’ve been through too much to just throw it all away!
Jake: You already decided that for us when you kept the truth from me.
Vicky: You’ve never done anything wrong in your life that you needed someone to give you another chance?
    Jake: It’s not the same.
Vicky: It’s not? You slept with me, my sister, my mother, and Paulina. You raped my sister, and you tried to swindle Cory Publishing with Spencer Harrison, and you’re saying it’s not the same? Don’t be like that guy!
Jake: You did whatever you could to keep me and my daughter apart. Lindsay is my daughter! My flesh and blood, and you...said...nothing! You expect me to stay here, and lie next to you in bed, knowing that you lied! You want me to fight for our marriage, which has become a complete sham.
Vicky: Is that how you view our family? A sham?
Jake: I…I need to get some air.
Vicky: I’m gonna tell you this once...if you decide to leave, don’t think about coming back.
Jake opens the door, and Steven and Kirkland appear. They look at Jake and Vicky…
Kirkland: What the hell is going on over here?

ALLEN’S SUITE - Amanda is on her cell phone while in the bed with Allen.
Amanda: You’ve got things there? Good. Gives me some extra time with my man. Thanks Matt.
Amanda hangs up, puts her phone on the nightstand, and turns her attentions to Allen. She snuggles up against him.
Amanda: I got an extra couple hours.
She kisses him on his chest, but he doesn’t seem to be responding.
Amanda: Baby are you alright? I thought you liked my kisses.
Allen: I love them. I’m sorry. I’m just...thinking about my daughter.
    Amanda: K.C.
Allen sighs and looks up toward the door.
Allen: I haven’t heard anything since I saw her in Monticello.
Amanda: I’m sure it’s quite a shock for her. You might have to give her some time to process it all.
Allen: I want a relationship with her, and I don’t wanna waste one more minute.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
BAY CITY CENTER...Joy is texting and walking very slowly. She sends a text to Steven…
Joy (texting): R u in the coffee shop?
    Steven (texting back): Yes.
Joy, still looking at her phone, smiles and walks slowly, still looking at her phone. Suddenly, someone bumps into Joy, and causes her to drop her phone. It’s K.C. Joy picks up her phone in disgust.
Joy: My God. My phone’s broken. You broke my phone!
K.C.: I didn’t do anything. You weren’t looking where you were going.
Joy: Look I need to get your information because you are going to pay for me to get a new phone, since you caused it to be broken.
K.C.: I can’t take responsibility for your clumsiness.
Joy: Look little girl, the grown up way to settle things is that you take responsibility for what you’ve done. You are gonna pay for me to get a new phone.
K.C.: This full grown adult is not paying for a damn thing. You should look where the hell you’re going.
Joy: Oh bitch you gon’ pay for this phone.
K.C.: You better watch who you’re calling a bitch or you’ll end up in the fountain.
Toni and Etta Mae quickly come between them.
Etta Mae: You leave her alone lady!
Toni: Nobody’s gonna end up anywhere. How much is the phone?
    Joy: Five hundred dollars.
K.C.: Oh please that’s more than what that thing is worth.
Toni: I’ll write you a check.
They all follow Toni to a nearby table, who takes out her checkbook, writes the check, and gives it to Joy.
Joy: I hope it doesn’t bounce.
K.C.: Maybe you should bounce before I kick your…
    Toni: K.C.! The check’s good.
    Joy: Um hm.
    Joy walks away.
    K.C.: Ugh! What a bitch!
Etta Mae: Watch yo mouth young lady!
Toni: Let’s focus and talk about why we’re here.
    K.C.: What’s that?
Eric, dressed in his work uniform, is outside of the coffee shop sweeping, and catches K.C.’s eye, and he gives her a look also, but he continues to sweep.
Etta Mae: Keneisha? Are you listening?
    K.C.: I’m sorry. What?
Etta Mae: You must not have heard what I said.
K.C.: Yeah I just finished looking for an apartment.
Etta Mae: And how you gon’ pay for it?
    K.C.: I guess I’ll...get a job.
Toni: So you’re gonna work and go to school full time? That’s a lot.
    K.C.: I can manage.
Etta Mae: Baby I can’t afford to pay your bills and mine.
K.C.: So what are you saying?
Toni: You can live with me.
    K.C.: No. Not gonna happen!
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
COFFEE SHOP...Steven and Joy are sitting at a table while Eric, who has just re-entered the place, notices them.
    Steven: Finally. You alright?
Joy: Yeah I’m gonna get a new phone.
    Steven: What happened?
Joy: Someone bumped into me outside and caused me to drop it. It’s all broken.
Joy shows it to Steven, and has a flashback.
    (EPISODE 174)
At the Monticello Police Station Interrogation Room, Reginald gives instructions to Joy...
Reginald: You don’t want Thomasina to get sick again do you? Get me my great grandson.
Joy flashes back to the present.
    Steven: Yeah it’s...pretty messed up.
Joy: I absolutely must have a phone. You know what. Come with me.
    Steven: Where?
Joy: Help me pick out a phone. Let’s go to the phone store.
Steven holds the door open for Joy as she leaves the coffee shop, and he follows.
    Joy: Such a gentleman.
    Steven: Thank you.
Joy then notices K.C. from a short distance.
Joy: Oh...there’s the little twit who broke my phone.
Steven: Hey, that little twit is my cousin.
    Joy: Your who?
Steven: Her father and my mother are cousins, so we’re related.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
KBAY- Allen is in his office when someone knocks on the door.
    Allen: Come in.
Allen is surprised at his visitor, who is carrying papers.
    Allen: Iris?
Iris: You missed the little celebration we had. I’m gonna buy the staff dinner from Tops. Just tell your secretary what you want and she’ll add it to the order.
Allen: Why would you be doing that? In fact why are you even here? The last time I tangled with you, you were in cahoots with my grandfather to take over Cory Productions, and I almost lost the woman I love.
Iris: So you think you love my sister?
Allen: Listen I got work to do.
Allen turns his attentions to his computer and starts left clicking the mouse...
    Allen: Where is that story?
Iris: Screw it! I am the story.
Allen: Iris, you need to leave. I’m gonna call security.
Iris: And I’d fire them if they put their hands on me.
    Allen: What?
Iris: You heard right. I own this TV station. I am the owner of KBAY.

    PART 2
BAY CITY CENTER….Steven and Joy are standing in front a phone store. Joy is holding a small bag.
Joy: I really like the phone you picked out for me.
Steven: Glad I could be of help, but I can’t take credit for the cover. I won’t take credit for the cover.
Joy takes out the touchscreen phone, with a pink sparkled cover, and they both look at the phone and the cover as if to examine them. Joy is turning the items back and forth.
Joy: This cover is pretty. What are you talking about?
Steven: I’m not a pink sparkle kind of guy.
Joy: Well I’m glad you didn’t pick the cover? It would probably would have been all black or something.
    Steven: You forgot brown.
    Joy: Those dark ‘guy’ colors.
Steven: Sorta kinda. You know it’s good to see you smiling. This is a hell of a lot of easier than the first time I got to see your grin. I still don’t even know your last name.
Steven moves closer to Joy, until they come face to face.
Steven: There’s still...so much I don’t know about you. Who is Joy? What makes her tick? You’re so beautiful....and mysterious.
    Steven begins to kiss Joy.
    Joy: I...I can’t do...this.
Joy tries to resist Steven, but she can no longer. She kisses him back.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, over at a table, the Burrells discuss KC’s situation…
Etta Mae: Well where else you think you gon’ live at?
K.C.: I told you I’ll get a job and I’ll get my own apartment.
Toni: Working full time and going to school full time is a tremendous. I don’t think you’ve thought about this.
K.C.: You mean that if Reginald never kidnapped me, I never would have known that Allen Love is my father? And that my mother and my sister are my grandmother and my mother, yes I think about that all the time.
Etta Mae: Look you can be mad all you want to, but don’t let it cloud your judgment. You’re smarter than that.
    Toni: Mom’s right.
Etta Mae: And you know damn well that you can’t afford to go to school full time and work full time!
K.C.: You don’t know what I can do!
Etta Mae: I told you not to come to Bay City. Toni and I tried to convince you not to but you wanted to come here!
K.C.: That’s because you wanted to hide your secret!
Toni: Look! K.C. we all know what the smart thing for you to do is, and that’s to live with me. You know how my job is. I’ll hardly be home. It’ll be like having your own apartment, and it’s walking distance to campus.
Etta Mae: And Toni ain’t gon make you pay no rent right?
Toni: As long as she stays in school.
K.C.’s wall starts to break down a little.
    K.C.: I...I could commute.
    Etta Mae: With whose car?
Toni: I guess you wanna get home late every single night.
Etta Mae: I got get on the road.
Toni (looking at her cell phone): Yeah I gotta get back to work.
Toni and Etta Mae get up and K.C. stays seated, and as they walk away…
K.C.: Wait. I’ll...I’ll live with you Toni.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Allen: What the hell are you talkin’ about?
Iris: Watch how you talk to your boss.
    Allen: When did this happen?
Iris: Not too long ago. KBAY hasn’t had the same flair since your Aunt Donna owned it. It’s time I added my own flavor to it.
Allen: Oh come on. You didn’t buy this TV station because you wanted to sprinkle some seasoning on it. Ooooh you got somethin’ else up your sleeve, and I bet it has something to do with getting back at Amanda doesn’t it?
Iris: Oh goodness, everything that I do does not involve Amanda or anything to do with the Corys.
Allen: Sure it does. You might not be Mac’s biological daughter, but he’s always gonna be your daddy, and you’re always gonna feel that anything he owned and built belongs to you, namely Cory Publishing, now Cory Productions.
Allen steps back a little as he comes to a realization…
Allen: You just came upon your rich Spaulding roots, and you bought up KBAY. Is Cory Productions next on your shopping list?
    Iris smiles.
Iris: Wouldn’t you like to know?
Iris walks toward the door and stops.
Iris: If you breathe a word of your theories to anyone, I’ll destroy you, your daughter, and anyone you love. With all my money and influence, you know I can do it.
Allen: Why? What are you up to?
Iris: You’ll see soon enough, just don’t get in my way.

    PART 1
    HOSPITAL
Iris is walking down the hall on her cell phone.
Iris: I thought you had it all covered Tucker. This can’t be happening now. They weren’t supposed to find out. Don’t worry, I’m going to handle it. I considered this scenario long before I approved the funding for your reality show. Goodbye.
Iris hangs up her cell phone, and notices Cory in the chapel, and walks in unnoticed.
Cory: God I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have fed into what Iris was telling me about dad. Please give me a chance to make amends with him. He said he changed; that he wasn’t the man who terrorized mom and Mac. I was so mean to him. I held it against him and I shouldn’t have. Please don’t let my father die.
Iris touches Cory on his right shoulder.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grant and Paulina are with Cass, Charlie and Kirkland.
Paulina: I’m gonna go see Rachel.
Cass: Maybe Grant should go with you. He needs to stay out of it. This is between me and Charlie.
Grant: My son is also involved, so that involves me.
Cass: Well your son and my daughter are NOT getting married.
    Frankie walks up to them.
Frankie: I could hear you guys all the way down the hall. Did I hear right Charlie?
Charlie: Yes mom, and dad is having a hissy fit.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Matt walks into Mitch’s hospital room, where Felicia sits at his bedside with Mitch there.
Felicia: It’s good to see you! How have you been?
    Matt: Been great.
Mitch: Jasmine texted me the other day. Then when I called her back, she didn’t answer.
Matt: She’s a texter. Our conversations never last more than two minutes. What did she want?
Mitch: The usual. Some money; a new pair of shoes; some clothes.
Matt: She’s got more than enough of that.
Mitch: I wired her something. I take great pleasure in spoiling my granddaughter.
Felicia: I will be doing the same thing when Jenna and Lorna have their babies.
Mitch: How long you in town for?
Matt: I heard about what happened at home, so I came to see you, but I really need to see my mother.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rachel is at Carl’s bedside as he continues to breathe through a ventilator.
Rachel: I’m not going to lose you again. I won’t let it happen. We just got you back.
Paulina opens the door quietly. Rachel gets up and hugs her.
    Rachel: Good to see you.
Paulina: My God. What happened at the house?
Rachel: Carl was poisoned with a neurotoxin. He’s not even breathing on his own. If we don’t get him treatment soon, he could die.
Paulina: Is there anything I can do?
Rachel: As a matter of fact...there is.

    PART 2
    Cass/Charlie/Grant/Kirkland/Frankie
Cass: This wedding is NOT happening. Not right now!
Grant: And just how do you think you’re going to stop it?
Charlie: Yeah dad that’s what I’d like to know.
Frankie: Let’s go back to my room and talk about it.
Kirkland: I love Charlie, and I am not going to hurt her.
    Cass: You can’t guarantee that!
Grant: Just like you can’t ensure that Charlie isn’t going to hurt my son!
    Frankie: Cass, Charlie...let’s go please.
    Charlie turns to Kirkland.
    Charlie: Don’t leave babe.
As they leave, Grant turns to Kirkland.
Grant: I know you said you were going to ask Charlie to marry you, but I didn’t know you were going to do it so soon.
    Kirkland: I love her dad.
Grant: I don’t doubt that at all, but it does seem like you’re rushing a bit. Would it have anything to do with what’s on that flash drive?
Kirkland: NO! That’s behind me dad. I have not even LOOKED at another guy since then. I love Charlie, and I want to spend the rest of my life with her.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Iris/Cory
Iris sits at a pew behind Cory
Cory: What are you doing here?
Iris: I heard you...and I can’t but feel that I might be partly responsible.
    Cory: You didn’t poison dad.
Iris: No, but I caused your animosity toward Carl. I heard you praying.
Cory: You were listening? How could you?
Iris: What I’m trying to say is that I’m sorry. I should not have made you doubt him. No matter what he did to me or my father, he’s still your father, and you love him.
Cory: I shouldn’t have been so mean to him. All he was trying to do was reach out to me. He had been in a coma for years.
Iris: For what it’s worth, I know what it’s like to lose a father.
Cory: From what I heard, you...loved Mac very much.
Iris: And before he died, we weren’t on good terms. I did something terrible, but he never hated me for it. He said he loved me, and it meant everything in the world. I heard you pray about your dad and...I really should not have told you all about his past. I was so bitter when I got released from prison. I wanted to turn you against him and Rachel, and I was wrong for that.
Cory: I may never get a chance to make amends with him.
    Iris: Don’t say that.
Cory: It’s going to take a miracle for dad to recover.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Rachel/Paulina/Matt
    Matt walks in.
    Paulina: Anything.
    Rachel: Matthew.
    Matt: Mom, Paulina.
Paulina (hugging Matt): Back in town?
Matt: For a little while. I had to come see mom.
    Rachel: Did you see Mitch?
Matt: Yes I did. It looks like he’s gonna be fine.
Rachel: I’m glad the both of you are here. There’s something I need you both to do for me, because I trust you.
Iris walks by, notices the three talking, and listens.
Rachel: You can’t tell anyone what I’m about to tell you two; nobody.
Paulina: Of course Rachel what is it?
Matt: I have an idea. I made all the arrangements.
Rachel: Carl has been registered at Cedar’s Hospital in Springfield.
Iris takes a mental note and walks away.
Paulina: And you don’t want anyone to know about that?
Matt: There’s more to it than that.
Rachel: Where I’m really taking him is to the Cavanaugh Clinic in Monticello.
Matt: The Cavanaugh Clinic is a cover for something else.
Paulina: You’re almost scaring me Rachel. What kind of facility is the Cavanaugh Clinic.
Rachel: I’m about to tell you, but you must promise me that you will not tell anyone. If anyone finds out, Carl could die.

    Tyrone
and Marley are riding in Tyrone’s car. Marley looks out of the passenger’s side window.

    Tyrone: Whatcha thinking bout baby?

Marley: I can’t believe your mother wants to meet with us. Are you sure she said ‘us’ and not just you?

Tyrone: She wants to talk to both of us. I think she wants to try and make things right.

Marley: I dunno Ty. Something doesn’t sit right with me about this. There’s something else going on.

    Allen
looks out at the water as he answers his cell phone.

    Allen: Hey beautiful.

    Amanda
: Hey I‘ll be free in about an hour, I was wondering if you wanted to meet me at the Harbor Club.

Allen: Yeah that would be perfect.

Amanda: Sounds like you’re outside. Where are you?

Allen: On the docks…taking in the evening air.

Amanda: Oh I see, well the sooner I get this work done, the sooner I can come see you.

    Allen: See ya later.

Allen hangs up, takes a deep breath, and continues his watch over the water, and Toni walks up beside him, and stands the opposite way.

Toni: I knew I’d find you here. I know what you’re thinking about.

    HARBOR CLUB

Tyrone and Marley sit at their table.

    Marley: Where’s Priscilla?

Tyrone: I don’t know. My mom’s not usually late.

Marley: I’m going to the ladies’ room.

    Tyrone: Okay.

Marley leaves and a woman wearing a red fitted dress, black heels, bright red lipstick, and a big matching hat with the initials P.I.M. written on the right side of it, approaches Tyrone.

Tyrone: I recognize that hat anywhere mom.

: Sorry baby, you know yo mama is never late. That valet was kinda cute though.

Tyrone pecks his mother on her right cheek with a kiss.

    Tyrone: Flirtin’?

Priscilla: Oh come on baby I might as well have some fun.

Priscilla curls her lips and asks Tyrone “You talk to yo daddy?”

    Tyrone: No mama I haven’t.

Priscilla: Where’s Marley? She decided not to come?

Tyrone: She’s in the ladies’ room. She’ll be out in a second.

Priscilla: Cuz I got a surprise for you.

Another woman walks up to the table, and Tyrone is shocked.

Tyrone: Etta Mae? Look I can’t handle a fight between you two.

Priscilla: No baby, we’re as good of friends as we’ve always been.

    Etta Mae
    sits across from Tyrone.

    Etta Mae: I forgive you.

    BACK OF THE CORY MANSION

    Cass
and Rachel approach the back double doors.

Rachel: I hope Sharlene didn’t see us. Oh my God.

    They notice an unconscious Frankie
, and Cass tends to her and says he’s going to call 9-1-1. Rachel looks inside through the glass and notices Carl lying on the couch. She runs to him.

    Rachel: Carl? Honey?

Carl looks at Rachel but can’t talk because of the neurotoxin, and notices the empty glass on the table.

    Rachel: Who did this?

    ------------------------------------------------------------------

THE FRONT OF THE CORY MANSION

    Janice
    walks up to the door…

Janice: Did I use all of it? How could I be so stupid?

    Suddenly Mitch
    appears behind Janice.

    Mitch: Janice! Stop!

Janice looks back at Mitch and walks into the foyer of the mansion, with Mitch close behind. She grabs the letter opener on the center table, and opens the double doors of the living room. Rachel…and Janice….face to face. Rachel sees Janice with the letter opener, and is shocked.

    Rachel: My God…it’s happening again.

    DOCKS

Allen: Shouldn't you be trying to find my grandfather's killer?

Toni: Even cops need a break.

Allen: He got what he gave out you know. Karma came back to bite him in the ass in a big way.

Toni: He did a lot of horrible things to a lot of people.

Allen: He separated me and my mother. I grew up in boarding schools. I never got a chance to have a relationship with my real parents. By the time I came to Bay City I was already a teenager, and Priscilla treated me like the stepchild that I was.

Toni: I'm sorry that you went through that.

Allen: I always said that when I have a child, I'm gonna be the BEST father, just like I would have been to our daughter.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    HARBOR CLUB

    Tyrone: I didn't know.

Etta Mae: After I thought about some more, I realized I couldn't even be mad atchu about it.

Priscilla: Baby I was gon' talk to you about maybe getting yo' judge status back.

Tyrone: Well you forgot the reason I had to resign.

Etta Mae: If we can forget about it, I'm sure everybody else has.

Marley walks up to them and sits in her seat.

    Priscilla: Marley.

Marley: Hi Priscilla. Etta Mae? I'm surprised to see you here.

Etta Mae: We're just burying the hatchet.

Priscilla: Have you talked to him about maybe getting his judge status back?

Marley: No I haven't mentioned it to him. Why?

Priscilla: So that's whatchu want? You want him to be stuck all his life as a lawyer when he can be a judge.

Marley: I haven't mentioned it to him because it was a painful time in our marriage.

Priscilla: Me and his daddy's marriage survived an affair, and so can y'alls.

Marley: With a due respect, Priscilla, I'd rather not bring that up.

Etta Mae: You know Tyrone, maybe it's all blown over. The public can be more forgiving than you realize.

Tyrone: I'll never forget it. I can't take a judge's seat knowing what I've done.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Toni: I didn't know that you...thought about our daughter.

Allen (sighs): You told me after we separated.

Toni: Allen I would never have kept something like that from you.

Allen: I was just...wondering what it would have been like to have been her father. Watch her utter her first words, take her first steps, send her off to the prom, knowin' me I probably woulda followed them, graduate college. Give her away to a man who will take care of her. I never got that chance.

    Toni: Me neither.

Allen: Sometimes I wish I could...get another chance to be a father. I'm sorry I'm not trying to bring up bad memories. You lost a baby, too.

    Toni gets a phone call....

Toni: What is it? I'll be right there

    Allen: What is it?

Toni: I gotta go. An ambulance has been dispatched to the Cory Mansion.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Janice and Rachel face each other, Mitch whispers in Janice's right ear as she holds a letter opener in her right hand.

    Mitch: Put it down.

Janice turns around, faces Mitch, and stabs him.

Janice: You've been here before haven't you?

Rachel: I'm going outside to get Cass.

Janice: I think you know what will happen if you run. I've gotten Carl, now I gotta get you.

Janice walks up to Rachel and they struggle for the letter opener.

    PART 1
Jack is in his office when Toni Burrell walks in with an envelope.
Toni (giving it to Jack): This came for you at the desk.
Jack opens and reads the envelope contents…
Toni: K.C. is coming to town and I was wondering if I could get some time off.
Jack doesn’t respond as he continues to read the envelope contents…
Toni: She’s gonna look at enrolling in school here and I just wanted to take her around. I also saw a blue pig flying over the station.
Jack: Oh. What did you say?
Toni: Hmm whatever you’re reading has got your attention doesn’t it?
Jack (taking out his cell phone): Carly wants a separation.
Before Jack can dial, he sees a text from Sage that reads “Why is Grant Harrison talking to mom?”
    Jack: I’ll be back.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LOVE MANSION-Donna opens the door and Allen walks in.
    Donna: We have to talk.
    Allen: Is everything alright?
Donna walks over to a drawer, unlocks it and shows Allen the gun...
    Donna: This.
    Allen: What the…
Donna: Someone sent this to me.
Allen (shaking his head): Who possibly could have done that?

Tyrone is at his desk when he gets a phone call on his desk phone.
Tyrone: The three o’ clock’s here? Okay send Ms. Harper in.
Tyrone gets up and goes to his cabinet, turning his back to the door, and hears the person walk in.
Tyrone (gathering papers): Just give me a minute. I’ll be right with you Ms. Harper.
Tyrone turns around and is shocked as he faces the client.
    Tyrone: My God. Joy?

GRANT’S HOUSE - Grant opens the door and Jack walks in.
Grant: I don’t believe I invited you in.
Jack: Why the hell did you go to Milltown?
Grant: Is that any way to talk to your future boss?
Jack: You haven’t been officially named mayor yet and you’re avoiding my question.
Grant: I’m concerned about Carly and the state of your marriage, apparently more than you are.
Jack: My marriage is none of your business, and you stay away from my wife.
Grant: Let me ask you something, detective. Do you really think it’s right for you to be getting close to Paulina while your marriage is falling apart?
Jack: I don’t have to explain the nature of my relationship with Paulina to you.
Grant: So it IS a relationship.
Jack: I will protect Paulina from you.
Grant: You think you’re so perfect, so righteous, so upstanding. EVERYONE’S got secrets, even you. I care about Paulina, and I don’t want to see her get hurt.
Jack: The only person that’s gonna hurt her is you, and I’m gonna make sure that you don’t.
Grant: YOU are the one that Paulina needs to be protected from!
Jack: You better stay away from my family, and Paulina, because you don’t want to deal with me. I learned a few things when I worked for James Stenbeck, and I have no problem applying them when it comes to you.
Grant: And that’s supposed to intimidate me?
Jack walks out and Grant smiles.
Grant: You have no idea what I have in store for you.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tyrone: What are you doing back in Bay City?
    Joy: It’s a free country.
Tyrone: What are you doing here Joy?
Joy notices a picture of Tyrone and Marley on his desk. Tyrone sits down back at his desk.
Joy: How are you and Marley doing?
    Tyrone: Stronger than ever.
Joy: I know it wasn’t always that way, especially when you and I were together.
Tyrone: It’s in the past...ancient history.
Joy: It’s a shame that you look at it that way. That time was the most...eye opening experience I ever had.
Joy slowly walks behind Tyrone, and bends down...
Joy (whispering in Tyrone’s right ear): And I’m sure it was the same for you. Don’t you miss it? I’ll never forget what we had.
Joy straddles Tyrone’s ear gently with one of her fingers.
Joy: I want to continue where we left off.
    Tyrone grabs her wrist.
Tyrone: We never had anything. It was just…
Joy (taken aback): Sex? That’s all it was to you? It was so much more than that for me.
Tyrone: I was wrong, Joy. I should never have gotten involved with you.
Joy: You regret being with me? Is that what you’re saying? I never meant to cause any trouble for you.
Tyrone: I’m sorry, but I love the life I have with my wife, and I’m not gonna put that on the line again.
Joy: You told me you were thinking about leaving her! You had me thinking we had a future together.
Tyrone: I made a mistake! I’m not going through that again. I don’t know what you came back here for, but you gotta stay away from me.
Joy: Who do you think you are? You think you’re just gonna brush me off like that? What we had meant nothing to you?
Tyrone: You gotta go, okay. Whatever you’re in Bay City for, good luck.
Joy (eyes welling up): How could be so cavalier about this? If you’re trying to hurt me, it worked.
    Tyrone: Good-bye Joy.
Joy: I’m gonna make you feel the same pain you are making me feel now.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Allen: This is weird. That gun should be at the bottom of the river by now.
Donna: And you’re sure that nobody saw you?
    Allen: Of course not.
Donna: I’ve been racking my brain trying to come up with an idea of who might be doing this, and I can’t.
Allen: So you’re telling me that someone actually went into the river, got the gun, and sent it to you. Why? Who could be after you?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    PART 1

    ALLEN’S OFFICE...Allen makes a call from the landline phone…

Allen: Hey uh it’s me Allen. I was hoping to talk to you but I thought I would just leave you a message. I was hoping we could grab some lunch or something. I’d like to talk to you. Hope I hear from you soon.

Amanda knocks on the door as Allen hangs up the phone.

    Amanda: Are you okay?

Allen: Yeah...uh yeah I was just leaving a message for K.C.

Amanda: It’s sweet of you to reach out to her.

Allen: She’s my daughter. I gotta try.

    ------------------------------------------------

AT THE CENTER...Toni is walking as K.C. approaches her.

    Toni: Hey what’s up?

K.C.: Did you give him my phone number?

Toni: Can you at least say hello before you ask questions? Who are you talking about?

K.C.: You know who I’m talkin’ about. Your ex-husband.

Toni (sighs): He is your father.

K.C.: And what is that supposed to mean?

Toni: You know you’re not always gonna have me and you’re not always gonna have mama.

K.C.: At least you could have asked me. I’m not ready for all that. He’s calling me leaving me messages.

Toni: He’s trying to reach out to you. Maybe you should give him a chance.

    K.C.: So whatchu doin’ anyway?

Toni: Headed to the office. You?

K.C. looks over at the coffee shop doors and smiles.

K.C.: I’m going to get some coffee.

    --------------------------------------------------------

MEANWHILE, INSIDE THE COFFEE SHOP, Charlie waits and Eric brings a cup.

    Eric: Caramel latte? Extra shot?

    Charlie: Yep that’s mine.

    Eric: Okay…

The two just look at each other.

Charlie: Eric...wait. I need to say something to you.

Eric quietly perks up but subdues himself.

    Eric: What is it?

Charlie: The last time I was here, I saw you and your mother argue. It wasn’t your idea to crash my reception.

    Eric: No it wasn’t.

Charlie: She put you up to it.

Eric: I don’t know what my mother’s thinking these days.

Charlie: Well I’m not mad at you about it.

Kirkland suddenly walks up to them and gets in front of Charlie.

Kirkland: You stay the hell away from my wife you understand?

    Charlie: Kirkland?

Kirkland: This guy and his mother are up to no good. Stay away from them.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------

    CHRISTY’S SUITE

Christy opens the door and a woman walks in.

Christy: Brianna Jameson. Come on in. Did anyone see you?

    Brianna: No.

Brianna takes a vial out of her pocket that has a powdery substance in it.

Brianna: This should accomplish what you want where Felicia Blake is concerned.

Christy: I hope for your sake it does, because you sure don’t want anyone knowing who you really are.

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

AT THE BLAKE’S...Mitch is dressed in a gray suit, and Felicia walks out of their bedroom with a hat that fits her head perfectly, a matching off white blouse and dress pants.

Mitch: My my don’t you look beautiful. We should do date night more often.

    Felicia: I agree.

    The two smile and kiss.

Allen puts his arms around Amanda’s waist and looks into her eyes.

Allen: It sure is good to see you though.

    Amanda: Can you...hold me?

    Allen: Sure. Sure. Everything alright.

Amanda: I just...need to feel your arms around me.

Allen embraces Amanda and she leans into his chest.

Amanda: Just so much going on with Cory Productions.

Allen: That company’s always in peril.

Amanda: We lost a very big deal. We were really hoping to land this contract.

    Allen: What was it?

    Amanda: Felicia.

    Allen: Really? What happened?

Amanda: We made her an offer to make movies out of three of her books.

Allen: Wow. Why did things fall through?

Amanda: Because your boss came in with a more lucrative offer.

    Allen: Sorry to hear that.

Amanda: I mean Iris blew us out of the water with what she was offering Felicia. With all the maneuvering of the numbers we still couldn’t match. I can’t blame her for going with Iris’s deal. It made me wonder why Iris went to such great lengths to pull the rug out from under us.

Allen: I don’t know for sure what’s going on, but I can speculate on one big Cory Productions reason.

Amanda: I realized that. It’s kind of why I’m here. To see your strong handsome face...and to talk to Iris.

    Iris walks in.

Iris: Allen I need you to...Amanda. What are you doing here?

Amanda: I need to talk to you in your office.

Iris looks at Allen, and then back at Amanda.

Iris: Well...anything you need to say to me you can say in front of Allen. So what is it?

Allen: Amanda told me about the swoop down you did of Felicia’s movie deal.

Iris: Yes I certainly did. It was a beautiful coup.

Amanda: And Cory Productions took a big hit. The board is concerned.

    Iris: Oh that lovely board.

Amanda: I went to them after Felicia went with KBAY Productions.

Iris: And uh...what did they tell you?

Amanda: They suggested waving the white flag.

    Iris: Sell the company?

Amanda: Yes, but I had a better idea. I’m not selling daddy’s company.

Iris: Well Chapter Eleven is an option.

    Amanda smiles.

    Amanda: Nope, not that either.

Allen: Well if you’re not selling, and you won’t file for bankruptcy, what did you come up with?

Amanda looks at Allen, then looks at Iris, and walks slowly up to her.

Amanda: Daddy made a lot of connections in the industry. Matt and I managed to keep the ones that you almost alienated after the whole Chief thing.

Iris: They vowed never to do business with me.

Amanda: There are about four very rich, very connected people that KBAY needs and could use.

    Iris sighs in agreement.

Iris: You’re right. They could really take KBAY to the...wait a minute...

Amanda: Felicia’s movies could make all of us a lot of money...if we were all one company.

    Iris: Are you suggesting…?

    Amanda: A merger? Absolutely.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------

Charlie: Kirkland what are you doing?

Kirkland: What do you mean? I can’t believe you’re standing here talking to this guy.

Charlie: He said he had nothing to do with what happened at our wedding reception.

    Kirkland: You believe that?

    Charlie: Yes I do.

    Eric: Charlie I’m sorry.

Charlie: Kirkland can I talk to you in private please?

Eric: I have a date soon.

    K.C. walks up to them.

    K.C.: What’s goin’ on here?

    Kirkland: You’re kidding me right?

    K.C. looks at Eric.

K.C.: Do you want me to wait here?

Eric: Yeah I’ll be off in about ten minutes.

Kirkland: My cousin is your date? What is with you and my family? You better watch out for him cuz. He comes from a lineage of sociopaths.

    Charlie: Let’s go Kirkland.

Kirkland: Oh and one more thing, you stay the hell away from my wife you freak.

Charlie and Kirkland leave while Eric looks at them.

    K.C.: What happened?

Eric: Oh...nothing serious. Hey you can sit at that table by the painting. I’ll be ready in a few.

K.C.: Okay. Looking forward to it.

K.C. smiles and goes to the spot where Eric suggested to wait for him. Eric smirks with pleasure.

Eric: Looks like Kirkland’s got a jealous streak. Mom you’d be proud.

The elevator doors open, and Mitch escorts Felicia to their table by the terrace and they are greeted by a young female server.

Female server: Hi Mr. and Mrs. Blake. Am I getting your usual?

    Mitch: Yes. Pinot Grigio.

Felicia: Club soda for me. Thank you Alison. Who’s working tonight?

    Alison: Jennifer and Tammy.

Felicia: It’s Jenn’s second day right?

Alison: Yep. I’ll be right back with your drinks.

Alison goes to the counter and talks to a person who has a uniform and name tag that says Jennifer on it.

Alison: Hey I gotta go to the bathroom. Can you prepare the drinks for Mr. and Mrs. Blake? Pinot Grigio for Mr. Blake and club soda for the misses.

Jennifer: Cool. I think we’re out of club soda here.

Alison: There’s more in the back in the storage room.

Jennifer: Okay I’ll go get it.

    ----------------------------------------------------

    STORAGE ROOM

Jennifer is reaching for the box of club soda. As she searches for the two club soda bottles, she does not see Christy behind her.

    ---------------------------------------

Mitch: Is Jennifer working out for you?

    Felicia: Time will tell.

Mitch: I think it’s a great thing that you hire the college kids.

Felicia: Anything I can do to help.

Mitch: That’s why I fell in love with you.

    ---------------------------------------------

Meanwhile, at the counter, Christy, wearing Jennifer’s uniform, quickly prepares Mitch and Felicia’s drinks, and Christy empties the powdery substance from the vial that Brianna Jameson gave her into Felicia’s drink, and mixes it. Christy smiles with self admiration.

Christy: This should do the trick. As the kids say...bye Felicia.

Charlie: Dad says mom has been hurt; to come to the hospital. I’m so sorry. I gotta make sure my mom’s okay.
    Kirkland: I’ll...I’ll come with you.

    HARBOR CLUB
    Priscilla: How is your mother?
    Allen: She’s fine. Why?
Priscilla: This ain’t easy for me, and I’ve been prayin’ about this for a lonnng time now, and I know it ain’t your fault that my husband slept with Nicole.
Allen: Hell must be freezing over.
Priscilla: For what it’s worth, I’m sorry for the way I treated you when Clayton brought you home.
Allen: I don’t know what to say.
Priscilla: There really ain’t nothing for you to tell me. My anger was misguided, and I did not treat you right. I hope that one day you’ll forgive me for it. Um...well have a good night.
Priscilla leaves and Allen is speechless, then he answers a call on his cell phone.
Allen: Hey beautiful. What time you gettin’ here? (beat) Alright I’ll be right there.

    HOSPITAL Bridget confronts Vicky
Vicky: I'm waiting for your father's PT session to be over.
Bridget: Yeah right you were listening to their conversation.
Vicky: Don't be silly Bridget. I am waiting for Jake's therapy session to be over.
Bridget: Why would you want to listen to anything they had to say?
Jake limps out with a cane, and Lindsay is right behind him.
    Bridget: Dad how you feelin?
    Jake: Much better.
Vicky: Lindsay's been a very big help.
Bridget puts her arm around Jake's shoulder.
Bridget: Thank you for taking care of my dad.
Lindsay: Oh I'm...just doing my job.
    Jake: Lindsay's not easy.
Bridget: No, but she's bringing my dad back.
Bridget kisses Jake on his cheek, and Lindsay looks at them with envy, and Vicky notices.
Jake: We're gonna go to the car.
Vicky: Alright I'll see you guys down there.
As Jake and Bridget walk away, Vicky approaches Lindsay...
Vicky: So you’re still Jake’s therapist?
Lindsay: Yeah why? I want to see him through the completion of his therapy.
Vicky: I thought that you were going to be gone for a while, at least that’s what Stacey told me.
Lindsay: My mom? You guys hate each other. Why would you two be discussing...you know don’t you?
    Vicky: Know what?
Lindsay: That Jake is my biological father.
    Vicky: Yes.
Lindsay: So everybody knows the truth but him.
Vicky: And he must never know.
Lindsay: I deserve to have a relationship with my father!
Vicky: Keep your voice down! We lost Bridget’s twin sister and things are just getting back to normal.
Lindsay: Really Vicky? You care more about Jake finding out that you’re a liar.
    Vicky: You watch your mouth!
Lindsay: You’re not gonna keep me from getting know my father.
Vicky: And I’m not gonna let you and Stacey destroy my family.

    BAY CITY CENTER
Paulina comes to a table and sits across from Jack.
    Jack: Thanks for meeting me.
Paulina: You sounded worried on the phone. Is it Dante? Is he alright?
Jack: I didn’t know who else I could turn to.
Paulina: It’s okay. What is it?
Jack: Carly filed for a separation.
Paulina reaches out and puts her hand on Jack’s.
Paulina: Oh wow. I’m so sorry.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    GRANT’S HOUSE
Grant tips the guy who just installed a new security system, and gets a phone call.
Grant: Hello? I’ll gladly accept those charges. Scooter. You’ve got what I need? Great I’m on way right now.
Grant (after hanging up): The destruction of Jack Snyder shall begin.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    INSTIUTION FOR THE CRIMINALLY INSANE
As Scooter hangs up the pay phone, Christy watches him.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
A SIGN OUTSIDE READS: CENTER BREW
Charlie is sitting at a table on her cell phone.
Charlie: I’m out with Kirkland. He went to the restroom for a minute. I haven’t forgotten mom. We’ll be there later so we can discuss wedding details. Love you.
Charlie bends down and puts her cell phone in her bag as someone walks up to her.
Charlie: Babe that was my mom. She’s anxious to get things going with the…
Charlie looks up and sees Eric, in his barista uniform, holding a latte.
Eric: Wow. What a way to end my shift.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    STACEY’S APARTMENT
Gregory knocks on the door and Lindsay opens it.
    Gregory: Is your mom here?
Lindsay: No she went to see Cass.
Gregory steps in, pulls Lindsay close, and they kiss passionately.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    CASS’S HOUSE
Cass and Stacey are sitting on the couch sipping tea.
Stacey: Sooo Charlie’s wedding’s coming up huh?
    Cass (sighing): Yep.
Stacey: And you finally decided to give Charlie your blessing.
Cass: I guess I was nervous about Christy. I didn’t want Charlie to be in any danger. Now that she’s gonna remain in prison, I can breathe easier.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    INSTITUTION FOR THE CRIMINALLY INSANE…
Grant arrives at the visitor’s area and approaches a guard.
    Grant: Where’s Scooter Carruthers?
Christy walks out into the area and sits across from Grant.
    Christy: Scooter is not coming.
Grant: I know who you are. Where is he?
Christy: You’re not going to be dealing with Scooter anymore. I’m your contact now.

    PART 2
Eric: Caramel latte for the pretty lady?
Charlie: Thank you. How much is it?
    Eric: It’s on the house.
Eric then notices Charlie’s engagement ring.
Eric: So who’s the lucky fiance?
    Kirkland walks up behind Eric.
    Kirkland: I am.
Eric (shocked): Oh...well congratulations are in order.
    Charlie: Thank you.
Kirkland: Um...we’re gonna take it to go.
Eric (smiling): Oh ok. Well you two have a great day! Come see us again.
Eric quickly stops smiling as he watches Kirkland and Charlie leave.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Paulina: Is there anything I can do? I hope she isn’t doing it because she thinks we’re…
Jack (sighing): There are a number of things going on. It’s mostly because I can’t be home all the time.
Paulina: I thought she understood why you had to take a job here in Bay City.
    Jack: I thought so, too.
Paulina: You two have been through rough patches. There’s no reason you won’t get through this one.
Jack: I know, but this one feels different. I wonder if we’re gonna make it this time. I’m so glad you’re here for me.
Paulina: Of course, just like you were always there for me.
They clench hands on the top of the table, and Eric, who is hiding behind the CENTER BREW sign, snaps two pictures of them. One with Jack and Paulina sitting across from each other, and the other showing their clenched hands on top of the table.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------
Gregory holds Lindsay in the bed after having made love.
    Gregory: I’m sorry.
    Lindsay: For what?
Gregory: I haven’t been myself lately. I’ve snapped at you. We haven’t been spending a lot of time together. I don’t want you to think that I forgot about us, because I didn’t.
Lindsay: Noooo it’s okay. I know you’re worried about Sharlene.
Gregory: I don’t wanna lose her again. When I was little, we thought she died in an explosion. She came back thinking she was someone else. She fought her way back to us, and then my dad screwed our family up by having an affair with Felicia. I was too young to really understand what was going on, but I remember how sad my mom was.
    Lindsay: She’s very resilient.
Gregory: It took her a long time to bounc
e back, and she and my dad remarried, and it makes me sick to see him spending time with Felicia again.
Lindsay: Are you sure about that?
Gregory: I saw them in Felicia’s apartment.
Lindsay: Gregory you’re spying on them?
Gregory: You said that I had to get proof. Hard evidence.
Lindsay: I just don’t want you to make a mistake. That’s a serious accusation to make.
Gregory: My dad had my mom committed to keep Jack from arresting her.
Lindsay: Wow. You know I’m here for you right.
Gregory: You always have been, and it’s time that I’m here for you, and support you. I know I’ve been against you telling Jake the truth about you being his daughter. Now, I’m gonna be behind you, whatever you decide.
Lindsay: Well I’ve been thinking about that, too. I don’t wanna hurt anyone. I’m not that kind of person.
    Gregory: I know babe.
Lindsay: And so I’ve decided not to say anything.
Gregory: Are you sure? You were so determined before.
She reaches into her nightstand, takes the DNA test out, rips it in half, and tosses it in her wastebasket.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Stacey: That’s great. How did Frankie take it?
Cass: Not too well. We haven’t spoken since the hearing.
Stacey: Well you have to go see her Cass.
Cass: I don’t want our problems to get in the way of Charlie’s wedding.
    Stacey: Do you love her?
    Cass: Of course I do.
Stacey: Then you’ve gotta go after her, because you may never get another chance. You’ll always be wondering what might have been.
Cass: Stace, who are we talkin’ about here? Me and Frankie? Or you and Jake? Oh no, tell me you’re not gonna go after him.
Stacey: I told him that I loved him, and I think he loves me, too.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Grant: I’m gonna ask you again, what happened to Scooter?
Christy: He and I were good friends, and I’m gonna miss him dearly.
Grant: What the hell are you talking about? I just talked to him about an hour ago.
Christy: Well, Scooter had an unfortunate…occurrence. From what I heard, he just couldn’t take it anymore. He couldn’t stand the pressure of knowing what he knew, so he killed himself. Luckily for him, he had a friend like me, so what he knew, I now know.
Grant: And just what is it that you think you have knowledge of?
Christy: I know that it’s something you’ve been looking for, but that’s not all.
Grant: I don’t think you have any idea who you’re trying to play games with.
Christy: Oh. I know exactly who you are. You’re the very powerful, very wealthy, Grant Harrison. If you want something to happen, it usually does.
    Grant: I’m leaving.
Grant turns to leave and then...
Christy: I also know about your connection to Mary-Frances’s twin brother, and I know where the dossier is.
Grant: It was you. Who did you order to break into my house?
Christy: Now I’ve got your attention. I’m not gonna ask you for much...just one small favor...get me the hell out of here.

    Jake confronts Michele

BAY CITY CENTER, Jack is sitting at a table, and he has one flashback…
    (EPISODE 185)
Jack: Ladies! This isn’t getting us anywhere. Paulina let me talk to Carly alone please.
Carly: Oh no need for that. I had to see for myself how close you two have gotten, and I’ve seen enough. When I get back to Oakdale, I’m gonna call Jessica Griffin and file for divorce. This marriage is over! Happy homewrecking Paulina. You can marry Jack since it looks like you caught the bouquet.
    Then another flashback (EPISODE 185)
Paulina: She’s made up her mind. Don’t chase after someone who doesn’t want to be with you. Stay with someone who does. I love you Jack.
Paulina pulls Jack into a passionate kiss.
Then Jack flashes back to the present, and takes a nervous deep breath. Suddenly, he feels a hand on his right shoulder. He looks up and smiles at the familiar face...Vicky.
    Vicky: Hey friend. Long time.
Jack: Hey Vick. Have a seat.
Vicky: You look like I feel.
    Jack: Torn up.
Vicky: Let me guess, both of our problems are with our spouses.
Jack: That’s the last time we talked isn’t it?
Vicky: We really should be better friends to each other.
Jack: Carly filed for a separation.
Vicky: My, I’m sorry about that. You must be devastated.
Jack: I am, but I’m torn.
Vicky: I saw you at my son’s wedding with Paulina. Wow, have you and Paulina been seeing each other?
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CORY MANSION...Someone rings the doorbell and Carl answers it, and smiles.
    Carl: Paulina!
    Paulina: May I come in?
    Carl: Of course of course.
    The two hug.
Paulina: Rachel called and told me you were back. It’s great to see you Carl.
Carl: Likewise. How have you been?
    Paulina smiles.
    Paulina: Never better.
    Carl: You look happy.
Rachel joins them in the foyer.
Rachel: I agree with Carl. You’re glowing.
Paulina: I feel..happier than I’ve been in a long time.
    Rachel: What happened?
Paulina continues to smile at Carl and Rachel.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, Jack continues his conversation with Vicky at the Center...
    Jack: No..not exactly.
Vicky: Not exactly? Your wife filed for a separation. The next step is…
Jack: Divorce? She threatened that, too.
Vicky: And it looks like you’re not gonna even fight for your marriage.
Jack: I really think it’s over for Carly and me.
Vicky: Is that what you guys do when you decide not work things out?
    Vicky looks away from Jack.
Vicky: After everything you and Carly have been through together? You’re just gonna...let it go?
Jack: Are we talking about me? Or Jake?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
LOVE MANSION...Jake rings the doorbell and Michele answers it.
    Jake: Hey there.
    Michele: Dad.
The two embrace in the foyer
Michele: Are you looking for mom? She went out, and I don’t know where Bridget is.
Jake: No...actually I came to talk to you. We have sooo much catching up to do.
    Michele: Right.
Jake: How are you feeling? Do you need anything?
    Michele: Umm...no.
Michele shuts the front door, and walks past Jake into the living room. He follows her.
Jake: Honey are you sure that you’re okay?
Michele: I’m fine. I’m just trying to get adjusted to life back at home again.
    Jake: Is that all?
Michele: Dad? What are you getting at?
Jake: I know what you did at the house.
Michele: I ransacked the living room. So what?
    Jake: That’s not all.
    Michele: Then what is it?
Jake: You smashed Bridget’s picture didn’t you?
CAMERA PAN ON MICHELE...SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
    PART 2
Rachel, Paulina, and Carl are in the living room of the Cory Mansion sitting on the couch.
Paulina: Everything seemed to fall into place after Kirkland and I talked.
    Carl: So he forgave you?
Paulina: Not exactly. He never resented me for what I did all those years ago.
Rachel: Kirkland is a very mature young man. It doesn’t surprise me that he understood.
Paulina: He actually thanked me for saving his life. He said if it wasn’t for me, he wouldn’t be able to marry Charlie, and he invited me to his wedding. I mean I thought I’d be the last person he would want at his ceremony.
Carl: Kirkland is a way better man this his father.
Rachel: Carl...so Paulina what else happened?
Paulina: I was on the phone with my daughter, and she helped me to see that it may be time for to move on, then Jack insisted, sort of, that he take me to Kirkland and Charlie’s wedding. I caught the bouquet, and Jack and I kissed. Well...I kissed him.
Rachel: That all sounds lovely but isn’t he still married?
Paulina: I was hesitant for a long time because of that, but he and Carly have been having problems ever since he got hired by the Bay City Police, and I’m tired of waiting. Sometimes you have to just go for what you want. If you wait for the right time, it’ll never come. This has been building up since he broke up a fight between me and Iris. We were friends long before Carly came into the picture. She was so awful toward him.
Carl: I’m gonna go upstairs and lie down.
    Rachel: Sure honey.
Carl walks out and Rachel looks at Carl with concern, but then she turns her attentions to Paulina.
Rachel: Paulina, honey, I love you like a daughter, and I’m going to be honest with you. I don’t think you should pursue this with Jack.
    Paulina: Who’s pursuing something?
Rachel: You’re getting your hopes up and I think you could be making a big mistake. Jack and Carly have been in each other’s lives for a very long time. He might not be willing just to let that go.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Vicky snaps her finger.
    Vicky: Ya got me.
Jack: If you don’t wanna talk about it...
    Vicky: I screwed up...big time.
    Jack: How?
    Vicky: I lied to Jake.
Jack: Oh no...Vicky. What did you do?
Vicky: I didn’t tell him that Lindsay Winthrop was his daughter.
Jack: Wait a minute. She was one of the bridesmaids right?
    Vicky: Yep.
Jack: She’s Jake’s daughter. Why didn’t you tell him?
Vicky: Because I wanted to protect my family, and him.
Jack: Does Lindsay pose some kind of threat?
Vicky: No no no nothing like that, but we were just getting past the loss of Michele, whom we got back by the way, and…
    Jack: Wait a minute...Michele?
    Vicky: Yeah long story...my grandfather.
Jack: Yeah I know all about him.
Vicky: He actually saved her life, but enough about him.
Jack: Yeah about Jake. You were afraid he would neglect you and Bridget. Vicky you didn’t trust him, just like Carly didn’t trust me.
Vicky: And...we both gave our spouses reason not to.
Jack: Carly says she’s filing for divorce.
Vicky: And Jake might, too. I get the feeling he doesn’t want to fight for our marriage.
Vicky gets a text on her cell phone.
    Vicky: Oh I...I gotta go.
    Jack: So quickly.
Vicky: The cleaning company I hired just texted me. The living room is clean again.
Jack: Oh wow. We were just gettin warmed up.
Vicky: So we can move back in. I guess I’ll find out soon how Jake really feels.
Jack: You better keep in touch.
    Vicky (smiling): Will do.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michele: What are you talking about?
Jake: Bridget’s picture frame...on the mantle. Everybody else’s picture was intact, but hers was the only one that was smashed.
Michele: I dunno I must have hit it by mistake. It wasn’t on purpose.
Jake: Why did you even do that? Why did you tear up the living room like that? Is there something you wanna talk about?
Vicky walks in and interrupts them.
Vicky: Hey I was wondering where everybody was.
    Michele: Mom hey.
Michele goes and hugs Vicky, as Vicky unknowingly saved Michele from Jake finding out why Michele tore up the McKinnons living room.
Vicky: The house is clean now. We can all move back in.
Michele: Great. I’ll go get my things.
Michele gladly goes upstairs and Vicky turns to Jake.
Vicky: I see Michele’s excited to go back to her room.
Jake: Vicky I was having an important conversation with her.
Vicky: Well I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to interrupt. Guess I’m just excited to be able to go back home.
    Jake: I’m not going.
Vicky: What do you mean? Of course you’re coming home. We just got Michele back.
    Jake: Vicky....I’m not coming home.

Charlie: You know this is our last time together.
    Kirkland: Before the wedding?
    Charlie: Yeah duh?
Kirkland: Oh you believe in that bad luck thing do you?
Charlie sits up and looks at Kirkland…
    Charlie: Yes it’s true.
    Kirkland: It’s just a myth.
Charlie: You’re making fun of me aren’t you?
Kirkland: I mean...Charlie...what if I wanted to give you a great big kiss before you put on your wedding dress?
Charlie: Well you’re not supposed to do that.
    Kirkland: Says who?
    Charlie: Says...me.
Kirkland: Because we agreed not to have a rehearsal dinner.
Charlie: You know I gotta go to my dad’s right to finalize our plans.
Kirkland: Well since this is the last time I’m gonna see you before we’re married, we’d better make the most of it huh?
Charlie looks at Kirkland with a smirk, smiles and joins him back underneath the sheets as they make love.

WINTHROPS HOUSE - Cass answers the door and Felicia walks in.
    Cass: Hey.
    Felicia: Hi there darling.
Cass greets her with a kiss on her left cheek.
Cass: What are you doing here?
Felicia: Wedding stuff with the ladies.
Cass: Oooh that’s right. I forgot.
    Felicia: Yeah Charlie’s getting married.
    Cass: Not funny.
Felicia: Something on your mind? Or should I say...someone?
Frankie walks in the door and she and Cass stare at each other.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
HOSPITAL - Lindsay is getting a cup of water at the bubbler, and Gregory taps her on her left shoulder. She turns around and sees him with a bouquet of red roses, which pleases Lindsay.
Lindsay (smiles): Well who are those beautiful flowers for?
Gregory: They’re for Bay City’s prettiest, hard working, physical therapist, who also happens to be my awesome girlfriend.
    Lindsay: Thank you babe.
    Gregory: Of course.
    They kiss.
Gregory: Why don’t we go to the Center and grab a bite?
Lindsay: I got a few minutes.
Gregory: That’s all? Aren’t you off?
Lindsay: Yeah but I got the wedding stuff. We’re meeting at my uncle’s house.
Gregory: Cool. I’d ask to come with you but…
Lindsay: Youuuu don’t wanna deal with all the…
    Gregory: Chick stuff?
Lindsay: Yeah. What are your plans?
Gregory: I’m gonna go visit my mom.

    John: Steven.
    Steven: Uncle John.
John: I came to see my wife.
Steven: You might wanna wait. We had a bit of an intense session.
Steven grabs his jacket while Sharlene opens her room door.
    John: Where are you headed?
Steven: Downtown. I’ll be back, but I think you should probably come back tomorrow. Aunt Sharlene needs to rest.

WINTHROPS HOUSE - Frankie has just arrived at Cass’s house, moments after Felicia got there. Felicia looks back and forth at both of them.
Felicia: I’m gonna give you two a moment alone.
Felicia walks to the back. Frankie then walks past Cass and puts her purse on the coffee table.
Frankie: I’m...here for Charlie. We’re putting the finishing touches on her wedding day.
Cass: I thought it was a good decision for them not to have a rehearsal dinner.
Frankie: I didn’t agree with that but, it’s her wedding.
    Cass: Right.
Frankie: I promised myself that I wasn’t gonna meddle like my mother did.
Cass: Emma really put her five cents in it didn’t she?
Frankie: Yeah I know mama meant well. I bet she’s looking down and smiling.
Cass: And Charlie’s gonna be wearing her dress.
Frankie: Mama’s gotta be very proud.
Cass: Well I’m...gonna leave so you all can do your wedding things.
Cass walks toward the door, but Frankie isn’t done.
    Frankie: Cass...don’t leave yet.
Cass turns around and faces her…
    Cass: Something else you need?
    Frankie: I need you.
    Cass: Frankie…
Frankie: I need you in my life Cass.
Cass: We are in each other’s lives. We’re always gonna be there for Charlie.
    Frankie: I’m not talking about a co-parent.
Frankie walks up to him and kisses him and Cass kisses her back. Felicia then walks in the living room with a smile. Cass and Frankie are stopped as they hear clapping at the door from Charlie, Stacey, and Lindsay, which causes Cass and Frankie to smile.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
    John: How are you feeling?
Sharlene: I’m getting better every day.
John: Good. This is what I was hoping.
Sharlene: I’m glad you called Steven. He’s been great.
John: There was no doubt in my mind that he would. We’re missing you at the house...Gregory and I.
    Sharlene turns away from John…
Sharlene: I’ll be home before you know it.
    John: Is something wrong?
Sharlene turns back around to face John now….
    Sharlene: Something is very off.
John: Is there anything I can do to help?
Sharlene: I’ve been very worried about you and Gregory.
John: Sharlene I told you there’s nothing going between us.
Sharlene: In the hospital; the last time you both were here. The butter of tension could have had a hot knife slide right through it.
John: I want you to focus on coming back home to us.
Sharlene: For God’s sake John stop trying to protect me! You’re not leaving here until you tell me what’s going on between you and our son.
    Gregory walks in…
Gregory: Yeah dad, tell mom the truth.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
POLICE STATION - Jack Snyder is sitting at his desk in his office when he gets a visitor.
    Jack: Dr. Frame.
    Steven: Detective.
    Jack: How’s your aunt?
Steven: We’ve made a breakthrough. In fact that’s why I’m here. I have to report a crime.
Jack: I’ve read up on D.I.D. As long as Sharlene gets therapy she’s not held responsible for poisoning Reginald.
Steven: Even though he’s dead, I still feel obligated to report it.
Jack: Are you talking about your great grandfather?
Steven: Yes. He killed Evan Frame. I know there’s nothing you can do about it.
Jack: I guess we can add that to list of his charges.
Steven: Yeah he kidnapped my sister Bridget, but you can’t charge a dead man right?
Jack: We went to the morgue, and the body that was on the slab was fake. Listen you can’t say anything to anyone about this.
    Steven: About what?
Jack: We have reason to believe that Reginald’s still alive, and as long as he’s out there, your family’s in danger.

    PART 1
Cass and Frankie walk into Frankie’s apartment.
Frankie: I’m glad you and Charlie patched things up.
Cass: Yes we did, but I can’t say that I’m on board with this wedding.
Frankie: Cass, she’s a grown woman now. The more you oppose it, the more she’ll resist.
Cass: Felicia was saying something along those lines.
Frankie: You should listen to your best friend.
Frankie puts her keys on a table, and sees a letter from Christy Carson.
Cass: Anyway, you know we got Christy’s parole hearing in the next couple days. After what that woman did, I’m surprised they even granted her a chance at it. You and I gotta keep her right where she belongs.
Frankie: Cass...there’s something I have to tell you.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the institution, Christy walks up to Scooter…
    Christy: What’s on the news?
Scooter: You mean you...are gonna watch the news with me?
Christy: Wouldn’t miss it for the world.
Scooter: It means so much to me.
Christy: Looks like they’re talking about Kirkland Harrison dropping out of the mayoral race.
Scooter: And that automatically makes his father Mayor of Bay City again.
Christy: He came to see you didn’t he?
    Scooter: Yes he did.
Christy: So just how well do you know the great and powerful Grant Harrison?
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    IN OAKDALE…
Grant is at the front door of Milltown and Carly Snyder opens it.
Carly: What the hell are you doing here?
Grant: If you want to keep Jack away from Paulina, you’ll let me in.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    AT PAULINA’S HOUSE...
Paulina is on her cell phone…
Paulina: You’re not gonna make it? Oh...he’ll be disappointed that you couldn’t come, and I really wanted to see you, too. Oh you told him? Alright. Remy I don’t need to be told about Grant. I know who he is. I’ve forgiven him for what he did.
    Someone knocks on the door.
Paulina: Look I gotta go. I love you honey.
Paulina opens the door and there’s Jack.
    Jack: Hey...you got a minute?
    Paulina: Umm...yeah.
Jack: Good, because I got a surprise for you.
    Jack steps aside…

    PART 2
Carly: Oh you have all the answers now huh? Move over Dr. Phil.
Grant: I want you to know that I’m working hard to save your marriage.
Carly: You don’t give a damn about my family. You’re trying to hurt Jack.
Grant: I’m the Mayor of Bay City.
    Carly: Again?
Grant: So why would I want to hurt one of my employees?
Carly: I dunno, because the object of your affection is not as chummy with you as she is with my husband?
Carly takes a flask out of the living room drawer and takes a swig of it.
    Grant: Drinking again?
    Carly: What’s it to you?
Grant: I need you to focus on mending fences with your husband.
Sage comes to the top of the stairs, observes, and then sends a text on her cell phone.
Carly: That’s not gonna happen any time soon. Jack has to be home for us to make things work.
Grant: You don’t strike me as the type who gives up easily.
Carly: Jack and I have been through this so many times. Whatever plan you have to get Paulina in your arms, count me out of it. Find another angle to get your blonde, beloved, ex-diet pill addict back!
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Paulina’s eyes well up…
Paulina: Don’t just stand there, come give your mother a hug!
Dante, in full police uniform, obliges, as Paulina notices something...
    Paulina: This patch says...
    Jack: Yep...he’s one of us.
Paulina: Your sister is so proud of you, and so am I.
Dante: Thanks mom. Remy told me she’s gonna send me something for my graduation ceremony since she’s not gonna be able to make it.
Paulina: She really wanted to be here for you.
Dante: I’m gonna be working with Detective Snyder and Lieutenant Burrell.
Paulina: Throwing my son to the wolves already huh?
Jack: We’re gonna take care of him.
Paulina: Well you better, because there are all kinds of crazy people out there.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Scooter: That’s for me to know, and for you...well…
Christy: Come on Scooter I thought we were friends.
Scooter: You, pretty lady, should be worrying about your parole hearing coming up soon.
    Christy: Two more days.
    Scooter: Are you nervous?
Christy: No. Not at all. I know without a doubt that my best friend will be on my side.
Scooter: What about Cass Winthrop? Is he gonna vouch for you?
Christy: How could you ask me something like that? Of course he’s gonna vouch for me! Mary Frances will convince him.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Frankie shows Cass one of Christy’s letters.
Cass: Christy’s been trying to contact you huh? You’d never respond to any of her letters.
Frankie looks at Cass, and Cass figures it out.
Cass: Please tell me you haven’t been communcating with Christy?
    Frankie: Yes.
Cass: Are you kidding me?! Have you forgotten what that woman did to us?
Frankie: It’s been over twenty years. Hasn’t she paid enough for her crimes? Besides she’s reminding me of the Christy McHale I befriended.
Cass: It’s all an act! She wants you to think she’s better so you can recommend her release to the parole board.
Frankie: You haven’t talked to her.
Cass: And you have? Oh my God no. Not only have you been exchanging letters with that psychopath, you visited her, too. Unbelievable. She killed her own husband, and tried to frame you for it. Not to mention she tried to poison me, too. If she’s granted parole, who’s to say she won’t come after our daughter?
Frankie: She won’t hurt Charlie. She’s not that person anymore.
Cass: You can’t guarantee that. Her obsession with me drove her to commit crimes. I’m gonna do everything I can to make sure that crazy bitch stays locked up!
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    CHRISTY’S ROOM
Christy takes out a scrapbook full of pictures and newspaper articles of Cass, and flips slowly from page to page.
Christy: Oh Cass, I hope you’ve forgiven me for what I’ve done, and that you realize that everything I did was because I loved you, and I still do. When I get out of here, we’ll have a chance to be together.

Cass is in his office when Stacey walks in.
    Cass: Hey sis.
    Stacey: What’s going on?
Cass: You never told me about your visit with Morgan and Brett.
Stacey: Our little brother, wife, nephew and niece are doing fine.
Cass: What about my other niece? Lindsay. Have you talked to her?
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gregory is sitting at a table at the Center when Lindsay approaches him.
Lindsay: I came as soon as I could. Is everything alright?
Gregory (grabbing Lindsay’s hand): I need you.
    Lindsay (sitting down): What’s wrong?
Gregory: I’m concerned about my mom. I think she’s in danger.
Lindsay: I heard about what happened at the Cory’s. Who is your mom in danger from?
    Gregory: My father.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    At the McKinnons...
Jake sits on the couch looking on his tablet at an article that reads: “Rumors of a possible shakeup at Cory Productions”, then he flashes back to Stacey saying to Jake that she’s still in love with him, then Vicky walks in from upstairs.
Vicky: Hey, what’s on your mind? It looks like you’re a million miles away. Come back because I’m expecting a very special visitor.
Someone rings the doorbell. Vicky goes and opens the door to Steven.
    Vicky: Oh! Come here!

Sharlene, Emma, and Janice are in the same room together.
Sharlene: Emma I need to come back to my family. You can’t keep me locked away forever.

Stacey: Lindsay’s fine, but I don’t think you made me come down here to talk about my daughter.
Cass: Oh come on, I can’t ask about my family?
Stacey: Christy Carson’s parole hearing is fast approaching isn’t it?
Cass gets up and grabs another law book, sits back down and starts flipping through it.
    Stacey: You’re working very hard.
Cass: You’re damned right. There’s no way she should be granted parole after what she did to us.
Stacey: You and Frankie’s testimony should be enough right?
    Cass: That’s the problem.
    Stacey: I don’t understand.
Cass: Frankie told me that she’s been visiting Christy and corresponding with her through letters. She thinks Christy’s changed.
    Stacey: Oh no.
Cass: That’s exactly how I feel. There’s gotta be something I can find to keep that whack job in prison.
Stacey: Well if Christy is considered a well behaved inmate, then she could go up for parole. The fact that she’s having a hearing means that she’s probably changed somewhat.
Cass: She’s very clever. Christy’s got everybody fooled, including Frankie.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Jake: Come here buddy!
    Jake and Steven hug.
Vicky: You must be hungry. I’m gonna fix you something to eat.
Steven (watching Vicky go to the kitchen): When did mom start cooking?
Jake: About when the girls turned two.
Steven: I’m sorry I missed Michele’s memorial. We skyped all the time. I miss her.
Jake: We all do, so how long you in town for?
    Steven: I’m on an assignment.
Jake: You sound like a spy.
Steven (chuckling): No. Cousin Gregory called me from John’s phone. They need my medical expertise.
Jake: Are you saying that you’re gonna be Sharlene’s therapist?
    Steven nods his head.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lindsay: Why would your father ever hurt your mother?
Gregory: I don’t trust him. He thinks he can get away with...
    Lindsay: Get away with what?
Gregory: I think he’s having an affair with Felicia again.
Lindsay: Are you sure about that?
Gregory: Every time I turn around it seems like I see them together.
Lindsay: That doesn’t necessarily mean that they’re sleeping around. You need concrete evidence.
Gregory: Yeah like you did with that water cup to get Jake’s DNA.
    Lindsay: What?
Gregory: You don’t believe me about my dad and Felicia do you?
Lindsay: That’s not it at all. I just don’t want you to make a mistake.
Gregory: It really sucks that my own girlfriend can’t even support me!
Gregory gets up and walks away and ignores Lindsay’s calls for him.
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Janice: Sharlene didn’t have the guts to do what I did. Reginald and Carl got exactly what they deserved! I am the REAL gatekeeper.
Sharlene: That was not the right way to handle things.
Emma: How’s that for a gross misunderstatement?
Janice: Did you have a better idea?
Emma: QUIET! I need to think here.
Sharlene: I’m ready to return Emma. To John, Gregory, Frankie, my friends.
Emma: And I don’t believe you, and I don’t agree with this at all.
    Sharlene: I’m taking over Emma.
Emma: Who am I to stop you? We’re all part of you anyway, but I must warn you...be wary of John.
Sharlene: I love him, and he loves me.
Emma: Those are usually the ones…
    Sharlene: What do you mean?
Emma and Janice start to disappear…

Vicky is on her cell phone at the LOVE MANSION with Donna...
Vicky: Jake what are you talking about?
Jake: Bridget's not here. I don't have a good feeling about this.
    Vicky: I'll be right there.
    Donna: What's wrong?
Vicky: I'll tell you later. Don't go anywhere. I'll be back.
Vicky leaves and Donna looks at the gun in her purse.
Donna: There's something I have to do.

Rachel walks toward the door, but Cory calls out for her from the living room doors.
    Cory: Mom?
    Rachel: Cory. You're up late.

Rachel: I just...feel like a walk on the grounds tonight.
Cory: Mom, it's cold, and it's almost twelve o'clock. Dad must be getting on your nerves.
Rachel: Son, with everything that's happened this week with Cory Publishing, and with Iris, I need to take a walk and clear my head.
Cory: I owe you an apology mom.
Rachel: What are you sorry about?
Cory: I know I've...given dad a hard time since he came back.
Rachel: He is very hurt by the way you've behaved toward him.
Cory: I don't mean to be like that. I just...I just gotta make sense of everything.
Rachel: Honey, your father has done questionable things in the past, as have I, but it doesn't mean that he doesn't love you. He loves you and Elizabeth unconditionally, and that's what you need to hold on to.
Rachel pecks Cory on his cheek.
    Rachel: I'll be right back.

    PLANE
Bridget is there with one of Reginald's hired men.
Bridget: So you're not gonna let me call my parents?
    Man: Nope.
    Bridget: Why not?
Man: Sometimes the answer's just no.
Bridget: They're probably worried sick about me. Do you have kids?
Man: Is this an interview? Are you working on a school project or something?
Bridget: Well if I can't call my mom and dad, can I at least call my great-grandfather?
Man: Why do you want to call him?
Bridget: He's probably worried about me, too. They're gonna come looking for me you know.
Man: Oh I'm sure they will look, but will they find you? THAT'S the question.
Bridget: Well then since you're so confident that I'll never be found, can I at least call my great-grandfather.
    Man: Sure go ahead.
Bridget dials Reginald's number under the man's watchful eye. Bridget tries to leave a message, but he snatches the phone from her.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    REGINALD'S SUITE
Reginald: And why would I know where Bridget is?
Jake: Because unfortunately she likes you.
Reginald: Well Bridget is neither here, nor has she come here.
Jake: We came home from the Harbor Club and she was gone.
Reginald: Maybe she went out. She is eighteen now.
    Vicky shows up.
Jake: You're awfully cavalier about this. You know something don't you?
Vicky: I thought I'd find you here. Grandfather you know something about where Bridget might be?
Reginald: Well both of the keystone parents are here. If you were any kind of mom and dad you would know where your daughter at this time of night. Bridget needs to be away from the both of you.
Vicky: Wow funny to hear you talk about parenting Reginald, especially after what you've done to my mother, Nicole, and Peter.
Reginald: Michele is dead because you both are unfit.
    Vicky: Where's Bridget?
Reginald: IF I knew where Bridget was, do you think I'd tell you?
Jake: You're going down for kidnapping.
Reginald: You don't have any evidence Mr. Private Investigator.
Vicky notices a missed call on Reginald's cell phone on the table. She runs over and picks it up. Reginald tries to stop her, but Jake holds him back. Vicky calls the last number dialed...
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Man: Yeah.
Bridget screams for help in the background.
    Vicky: Bridget?
    The man quickly hangs up.
Man: You shouldn't have done that.
The man pours chloroform on a cloth.
    Bridget: No. Please...
The man goes to apply the cloth to Bridget, but suddenly he is knocked unconscious with a lamp post, and Bridget is shocked.
Bridget: Uncle Peter? How did you?
Peter : Don't ask. Just know I'm gonna get you back home.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------
Vicky: Oh my God. Where is my daughter?!
Reginald: I'm gonna be raising her from now on. You both are unfit.

    CORY MANSION

    Rachel
walks in and gets some fruit off the tray table and sees Cory on his phone with his headsets on, so she goes and removes them.

Cory: Mom! I was just about to get to the next level.

Rachel: I think your fingers are glued to that phone.

    Cory: Oh you’re just old.

Rachel: I beg your pardon. I’m still your mother.

    Cory: Sorry mom.

Rachel: You and those games. Have you spoken to Michele yet?

    Cory: No.

Rachel: I think you need to speak with her about you and Bridget. You two have been getting closer. I noticed you two at the wedding. You need to be careful.

    Cory: About what?

Rachel: Michele’s returned, and she may think that there’s still a chance for you and her. You don’t want to be the one to drive a wedge between sisters.

    Cory: Not gonna do that.

Rachel: Just be careful okay. Have you seen your father?

Cory (putting his headsets back on): Nope.

Rachel: He left early. What the hell is going on with him?

    -----------------------------------------------------------

    ROOM

    Carl
looks at his right arm, which has an IV in it. Dr. Russ Matthews walks in and injects something into Carl’s IV.

    Russ: How you feelin?

Carl: As well as can be expected.

Russ: Well I hope this is making you feel more comfortable.

    Carl sighs.

Carl: Physically yes. Emotionally not so much.

Russ: I’m very sorry Carl. I know Rachel and your children just got you back.

Carl: And now I have a brain tumor that was more aggressive than before.

Russ: You need to tell Rachel soon. Don’t let it linger too long.

Carl: I’m well aware of that Dr. Matthews. I can’t tell my wife just yet. I want to bond with my family as much as possible.

Russ: Your wife is your family. It starts with her.

Carl: I have to make things right with all of my family members.

Carl picks up the cell phone with left hand and dials a number.

    -----------------------------------------------

    AT THE WINTHROPS

    Frankie
    answers her cell phone.

Frankie: Hello? Carl hi. Uh Cass and I are about to go to the hospital. I suppose we could stop by after that. Okay. See ya later.

    Frankie hangs up as Cass
enters the living room, fully dressed. Cass is wearing a gray suit with a black tie and Frankie is wearing a bold pink dress.

Cass: Who was that on the phone?

Frankie: That was Carl. He wants us to stop by the Corys later.

    Cass: I wonder why.

Frankie (looking around the living room): I dunno. Did I leave my compact in the bedroom?

    Cass: Which one?

    Frankie: My pink one.

Cass: I think I know where the one with the MFF.

    Frankie: That’s the red one.

Cass: Why do you need that many compacts when you can just use the camera on your phone to do your make up?

Frankie: It’s a woman thing. You won’t understand.

Cass: I’ve dressed in drag before.

    Frankie: So not the same.

Cass: So not modern. Use the camera.

Frankie: I happen to like my compacts.

Cass: One to match the color of your clothing?

Frankie: Like I said, it’s a woman thing.

Cass: And I love every girly girl part of you.

Frankie: And to think I used to be a tomboy.

    Cass: Hmm.

They kiss each other, but stop immediately.

    Frankie: Did you call Charlie?

Cass: Yeah she and Kirkland are gonna meet us there.

They walk toward the door to leave.

Frankie: Oh yeah. I almost forgot our daughter was married.

Cass: Come on let’s go see Lindsay.

    ----------------------------------------------------

    HOSPITAL

    Lindsay
is lying in bed. She wakes up and sees Gregory and Stacey standing over her.

Lindsay (groggy): Whoa...that was a great dream I was having. What happened?

Stacey: You had a biopsy last night.

Gregory: My dad told us to come back in the morning, and here we are.

    Lindsay: Thank you.

Stacey: Of course honey where else would we be?

    Gregory: I’m not going anywhere.

    John
    walks in.

    Stacey: John?

John: We have the results of the biopsy. We took three samples of the polyps and tested them. They were benign.

Stacey, Gregory and Lindsay all smiles.

    Stacey: Thank God!

    Gregory: That’s great.

Lindsay: Oh wow. I was...I was thinking the worst. Thank you John.

John: I don’t think you want to thank me just yet.

    Lindsay: What do you mean?

John: Those polyps can turn malignant, and they’re very large and they need to be removed.

Lindsay: Well let’s schedule the surgery to remove them.

John: Yes we have to remove them, but to do that, due to the size of the polyps, we will have to remove your entire uterus.

Stacey’s joy at the news of non cancer, quickly turns to concern just as Cass, Frankie, Kirkland
    and Charlie walk in.

    Lindsay: Hi everybody.

    Stacey: John...no...she’s too young…

    Cass: Stacey...is everything okay?

    Frankie: Lindsay?

John: I’m sorry Lindsay. For you to reduce your risk of getting cancer, we will have to do a full hysterectomy.

    Charlie: Oh my God.

Kirkland: Is there anything you want us to do?

Lindsay’s eyes well up with tears.

Lindsay: John if...if I have this hysterectomy I...I won’t be able to have children.

    HOSPITAL

Outside Lindsay’s room, Kirkland and Charlie talk about Lindsay. Kirkland holds Charlie from behind.

Charlie: I feel so bad for her.

    Kirkland: I know babe.

Charlie: She’s gotta get a full hysterectomy or basically she’s gonna die. She’s too young for this.

Kirkland: We’re all gonna be here for her right?

Charlie: It’s not fair. This isn’t fair Kirkland.

    Kirkland: You’re right. It’s not.

Charlie: I wonder if Gregory still wants to be with her. He can’t give her a baby.

Kirkland: If that’s the determining factor then she doesn’t deserve him.

Charlie turns around and faces Kirkland.

Charlie: What would happen if...we found out I couldn’t have children?

Kirkland: Why would you even ask such a question? We would find other ways to have children. I love you Charlie.

    Cass walks up to them.

    Cass: Good answer Harrison.

Cass then walks away with Frankie right behind him.

Frankie: What are we gonna do Cass?

Cass: All we can do is support them.

Frankie: It’s so devastating. I mean Lindsay’s still young, and she has to have a hysterectomy. Either she can’t have children, or the polyps turn malignant and she dies. Why is this happening to her? Why is the universe treating her like this?

Cass: I’m gonna assume that’s a rhetorical question.

    Frankie: She’s your niece.

Cass: You can’t expect me to have answers to anything cosmic.

Frankie: Come on Cass. She’s so young and gets this type of news. I wish I could fix it for her.

Cass: All we can do is let her know that we love her and that we’re here.

Gregory walks up to them...a bit dejected.

    Cass: Gregory how is she?

    Gregory: Devastated.

Frankie: Why aren’t you in there with her?

Gregory: She wanted to talk to her mom alone.

    -----------------------------

    INSIDE LINDSAY’S ROOM

Stacey is clenching Lindsay’s right hand as Lindsay lies on the bed. Lindsay’s eyes are full of tears.

Stacey: You know there are other ways you can have children. You can adopt.

Lindsay: How did you feel when you carried me? After all those years you thought you couldn’t have children.

Stacey: You are my miracle baby.

Lindsay: There are no miracles for me! If I have this hysterectomy, I live, but I can’t have children. If I don’t have it, I could die. What am I supposed to do mom?

    Stacey: I...I don’t know.

    Lindsay: Exactly.

Stacey: Honey I...I’m so grateful that I gave birth to you, but natural child birth doesn’t make you a mother. There a lot of women who have delivered normally and can’t be mothers to those children. This is where you come in. Many children need homes; they need mothers who will love them and care for them. When you’re ready to be that, you can be it. It’s not about keeping a man in your life. If a man can’t accept you for who you are, then you don’t need him honey. You’re my baby. I love you so much, but it’s not the end of the world. Your life can go on. You can be happy...and you can have a family, but you’ve gotta be here to do it.

Lindsay: You want me to have the surgery.

Stacey: I want you to live. I want you to be happy. That is all I care about, and that’s all you should care about.

    John walks in.

John: Hi. We haven’t got much time.

Lindsay looks at Stacey, and looks back at John.

Lindsay: I’m gonna have the surgery. Do it.

    ------------------------------------------------------------

Two hospital workers wheel Lindsay, who is lying on a gurney, up to Cass, Frankie, Gregory, Charlie, and Kirkland, with Stacey walking next to the bed at the same pace of the workers. John is right behind Stacey.

    Gregory: Hey...are you alright?

Lindsay: Yeah. I’m gonna have the surgery.

    Charlie: How do you feel?

Lindsay looks at Stacey, smiles nervously, and looks back at Charlie.

Lindsay: I’ll die if I don’t have it.

Stacey: We’re gonna be right here when you get out of surgery.

Cass: You’re right. The Winthrops stick together.

Gregory kisses Lindsay on her lips.

    Gregory: I love you baby.

    John: You ready?

    Lindsay sighs.

    Lindsay: Let’s do it.

The workers and John wheel Lindsay away to prep her for surgery as Stacey watches them. Cass comforts her.

Cass: She’s gonna get through it Stace.

Stacey: It’s like you just said. We’re Winthrops. We stick together right?

    Cass: Right.

Cass embraces Stacey and he turns to Frankie.

Cass: Are you gonna go see Carl?

Frankie: Come on Cass, I’m not leaving until Lindsay’s out of surgery. I’ll see Carl after that.

    -----------------------------------------

Russ: Who was that on the phone?

Carl: I just called my daughter Frankie.

Russ: What do you have to make right with her?

Carl: I’ve done a lot of regrettable things in my life. It’s almost like this is some sort of payback.

Russ: I don’t know if I’d look at it quite that way. You still have a chance to make things right with everyone because...

Carl: I don’t have much time left.

Russ: If there was something that we could do, we’d do it.

    Carl: I understand. It’s inoperable.

    Russ: And you need...to tell...Rachel.

    --------------------------------------------

    Cory: Where did he go?

Rachel: He said he had something to take care of.

Cory: Why didn’t he tell you what it was?

    Rachel: I’m not sure Cory.

Cory: Is dad up to his old tricks?

Rachel: Oh we’re not going down this road again are we?

Cory: No mom. It’s just dad does these strange things all the time.

Rachel: I’m gonna find out what it is.

Rachel goes upstairs while someone rings the doorbell.

Cory: Mom can you get it?

Cory hears no response, so he reluctantly goes to answer the door.

Cory: Why couldn’t she answer the door? She was right there.

Cory opens and is surprised at the visitor.

    Cory: Michele?

    AT THE MONTGOMERYS

Allen Love pays a visit. After Marley lets him in and shuts the door, he escorts her to the couch in the living room. They both sit down…

Allen: You need to close that window.

Marley: It’s a nice night. I wanted to feel the breeze.

Allen: I guess so, being that you can’t really get out.

Marley: It is so good to see you. It’s been a while.

Allen: Donna told me that you were on bed rest so I didn’t want to interrupt that.

Marley: Oh you know that you’re always welcome here.

Allen: I don’t know if my brother sees it that way.

Marley: You know I’d really would like if you two would mend fences, preferably before my son enters the world.

Allen: From the looks of things that’s gonna happen very soon.

Marley: Yeah Roman is coming. The newest addition to our crazy family.

Allen: That little one in your stomach isn’t the only one.

Marley: Vicky called and told me. Michele’s back.

Allen: That’s amazing. I’m sure Vicky and Jake are happy.

    --------------------------------------------

    EXAM ROOM

Jake, Stacey and Gregory await Lindsay’s prognosis from John.

John: We got the results of the tests. It’s not good.

    Lindsay: My God. Is it...cancer?

    Jake: Cancer?

Stacey: She’s too young for that.

John: We can’t tell right now, but I don’t think it’s a good idea to jump to that conclusion.

Gregory: What did you find dad?

John: Lindsay you have unusually large polyps on your uterus. I’ve scheduled you for an emergency biopsy. I’m gonna need to get you prepped.

Stacey: We’ll be right here honey. We’re not going anywhere.

John: You all can wait in the waiting area for her.

Gregory: I’m gonna be here when you get out of the O.R. okay.

    Lindsay: Of course.

    -------------------------------------------------

    OUTSIDE OF LINDSAY’S ROOM

Stacey, Jake, and Gregory walk up to Donna and Michael.

Donna: Jake, Vicky went to see about Michele.

    Michael: How’s Lindsay?

Stacey: She’s...being prepped for a biopsy. My miracle baby can’t have cancer.

Jake: We don’t know that yet Stacey. Let’s wait until after the procedure.

Donna: I...hope Lindsay’s gonna be okay.

Stacey: I’m going to the waiting room.

    Gregory: I’m going with you.

As Stacey and Gregory walk away, Vicky walks up with Michele and her bandaged left arm, with Bridget right behind them.

Jake: Michele, what happened to your arm?

Vicky: Good I’m glad you’re here.

Bridget: I didn’t do anything. Michele did this to herself.

    Vicky: Stop lying!

Jake: Bridget what are you doing here. I thought you were at home.

Michael: Michele just tell us what happened.

Michele: I was…gonna come out of the room when Bridget came in. She grabbed the scissors and charged at me. I put my arm to block…

    Bridget: Oh my God!

Michele: And she cut my arm.

Michele beings to make like she’s going to cry.

Michele: All I want to do is be sisters. Why do you hate me so much?

Bridget shakes her head in disbelief.

Michael: Bridget honey. Did you do that? Did you attack your sister?

Bridget: Don’t tell me you guys believe her? I would never do that.

Michele: Mom can you take me home please?

    Vicky: Of course honey.

    Jake: Not so fast.

Marley: I need to call Vicky and get Michele’s cell phone number. I wanna talk to her. So tell me, what’s going on with you? I heard we got another addition to the family.

    Allen: K.C.?

    Marley: Yes.

Allen: Toni and Etta Mae lied to me and her.

Marley: I’m surprised to hear that Toni would keep you from your own daughter. Not so much from Etta Mae.

Allen: I heard about what happened back then.

Marley: She tried to keep me and Tyrone apart.

Allen: But she didn’t. He loves you Marley.

Marley: I know that now, more than ever. We almost didn’t make it.

Allen: Listen cuz, stop thinkin’ like that. We got one crazy ass family, but we’re gonna be there for each other.

Marley: You know what...positive thoughts only.

Allen: That’s it cuz. We gon’ think the best, especially for Roman.

    Marley (looking away): Right.

Allen: So why aren’t you convincing me?

Marley: I can’t help but to think what our grandfather has up his sleeve.

Allen: He’s in Tanquir. He can’t do anything to us. We won’t let him.

    Suddenly they hear a noise...

    Marley: What was that?

Allen: That’s why I told you to close that window.

Allen opens the door and looks outside.

    Allen: Who’s there?

To Allen’s right, Joy hides, unseen, behind the bushes.

    ----------------------------------------------

    HOSPITAL WAITING ROOM

    Gregory is with Stacey…

    Stacey: This isn’t fair.

Gregory: She had been having pains in her stomach. She told me it was just gas.

Stacey: Lindsay’s always trying to be strong.

Gregory: That’s what I love about your daughter.

Stacey: Lindsay is my miracle baby. After I lost my first baby I thought I couldn’t have children. I can’t lose her to cancer.

Gregory: We’re not gonna lose her Stacey. Whatever my dad says it is, we’re gonna get through it. We’re gonna be there for Lindsay.

    Stacey: Damned right! Thank you.

    Gregory: For what?

Stacey: Loving my daughter. I’m glad she has you in her life. Means a lot to me.

Stacey’s eyes begin to well up, and Gregory holds her.

Gregory: We’re gonna be okay. Everything’s gonna work out the way it’s supposed to.

Meanwhile, John walks up in his scrubs and mask, unseen by Stacey and Gregory, and sees them embrace.

    John: Hi.

    Stacey: Oh...uh...John. How’s Lindsay?

John: She’s in the recovery room. We got a couple of samples from the polyps. They’re running tests now. She’ll be sleeping through the night, so why don’t you guys go home, get some sleep and...come back in the morning. We’ll know more by then.

Gregory: You mean...if she has cancer.

Stacey: We’re not gonna think that way. We’re gonna wait till morning. Did you tell Jake?

    John: I didn’t see him.

Stacey: He might be checking up on Michele.

    -----------------------------------------------------------

Jake: I wanna know exactly what went on in that room.

Vicky: Michele just told you. Bridget attacked her.

Bridget: I didn’t do anything! She did this to herself!

    Jake: She cut herself?

Bridget: Come on dad. You’ve gotta believe me. Michele has been acting weird since she got back.

Donna: This is all so strange.

    Jake (looking at Michele): Very.

Michele: Dad, you know Bridget was jealous of me before the accident, and it seems like she still is.

John interrupts them all and approaches Jake.

John: I’m sorry. Jake I have news about Lindsay.

    Jake: Okay.

John: Let’s go to my office.

Michael: I think we all should go home. It’s been quite a night.

Vicky: I agree. Let’s go Michele.

    Bridget: I’ll be along later.

    Vicky: No you won’t.

    Bridget: What?

Vicky: I don’t want you anywhere near Michele.

Donna: Victoria what are you saying?

Vicky: Bridget can go home with you. I want her out of my house.

Tyrone and Marley get a visitor. Marley opens the door.
    Marley: Donna..Come in.
    Tyrone: Hey Donna.
Donna: I'm sorry to call you on such short notice, but...I ran into Reginald at the Center.
Marley: What's my dastardly grandfather up to this time?
Donna: The same thing as he always is....no good I'm sure.
    -------------------------------------
Reginald is on his cell phone on a mysterious phone call.
Reginald: These things take time. I will have everything in place sooner than you think.
    -------------------------------------
Amanda is at her office at Cory Publishing.
Amanda: He's here? Send him in.
A tall, handsome, African-American man, well groomed, dressed in a sharp, crisp suit, shirt and tie walks in.
Amanda: Allen Lovett. Amanda Cory. Nice to meet you. You're here to interview for the marketing position.
    Allen: Yes Ms. Cory.
    Amanda: No call me Amanda.
Amanda is immediately taken by Allen.
    -------------------------------------
    HUDSONS HOUSE
Sharlene is on the phone with John.
Sharlene: You can't come home late tonight. I made your favorite dish.
John: I've been called into surgery last minute. Can you put some in the frig for me?
    Sharlene: Okay honey.
    John: What are you doing?
Sharlene: Just doing some cleaning while the food's cooking.
John: I just wanted to call you and tell you I love you...right before my consult.
Sharlene: I love you, too honey.
Sharlene wipes down the hall bathroom's medicine cabinet shelves, and a needle falls in the sink.
    Sharlene: What the hell?
    --------------------------------------
At Cory Publishing, Allen shakes hands with Rachel and Amanda in Rachel's office, and leaves.
    Amanda: Well...what do you think?
Rachel: He's definitely qualified. The most qualified of all the candidates we interviewed today.
    Amanda: Well I like him.
    Rachel: Oh?
Amanda: I think we've found our new Marketing Director
Rachel: Come to think of it. I actually agree with you. Send his papers down for a background check. If that comes back clean, then he's hired.
    --------------------------------------
Donna converses with Tyrone and Marley.
Tyrone: After all that man (Reginald) has done to you, I see why you're all skeptical.
Marley: You don't even know the half of it.
Donna: And you don't wanna know. So how are you two doing?
    Marley rushes to Tyrone's side.
Marley: We're fine. We're doing great.
Tyrone gives a a half smile...
    Tyrone: Yeah...never better.
Donna: Good...well I'm gonna get out of your hair. I just wanted to pay you two a visit.
    Marley: Anytime.
As Donna walks from the house, someone hiding in the bushes watches her, and then turns his/her attention to Tyrone and Marley whom this person can see through the window.
    Tyrone: Let's go upstairs.
Tyrone starts to kiss Marley on her neck, and Marley pulls away slightly.
Marley: Umm let's watch a movie.
Tyrone: Marley the movie can wait. I want to make love to my wife.
    Marley: And we will.
Tyrone: We haven't had sex in weeks.
Marley: My therapist said we should do non sexual activities together. That might get me in the mood.
Tyrone: Baby we were doing well, and just in the past few weeks you've gone back.
Marley: Back to what? My old crazy self?
Tyrone: That's not what I meant and you know that.
Marley: Come on. Somewhere in the back of your head, you think I'm a nutcase don't you?
Tyrone: Stop using that to push me away. I love you...too much. I know what you went through. I fell in love with you then. You can't keep letting those memories come back.
Marley: And that's why I'm seeing a therapist, so I can work through my issues.
Tyrone: You're forgetting something Marley. You're my wife. Your issues are my issues, too. You've got to let me help you, too.
Marley: You don't get it do you? I have to work through what Jake did to me, and the fire. I don't feel worthy of you, and it doesn't make me feel sexy, and for us to have a successful marriage, I've got to get past these issues.
Tyrone: I'm goin upstairs. Good night.
    -------------------------------------
Gregory is eating dinner in the kitchen and Sharlene watches from the kitchen door...
Sharlene: Slow down on that plate son.
    Gregory: This is good mom.
    Sharlene: How was football practice?
Gregory: It was hard. I'm so hungry.
    Sharlene: I bet.
Sharlene sits across from him at the dinner table.
Sharlene: Anything on your mind? Anything you want to talk to me about?
Gregory: Me and Elizabeth are good.
    Sharlene: That's good. Anything else?
    Gregory: Mom what's this about?
    She takes out the needle.
Sharlene: This. I found this is the hall bathroom. You're the only one who uses it. Are you abusing drugs?
    Gregory: No of course not!
Sharlene: Then what is it for?
Gregory: It doesn't belong to me.
Sharlene: Then how did it get in the hall bathroom.
    Gregory: I don't know mom.
Sharlene: Gregory Hudson don't lie to me!
    John walks in the kitchen.
    John: It's mine.
Sharlene: What are you doing home so early? And what are you doing with this needle?
John: Someone took my place in surgery. I was testing it for a patient of mine. I knew you would react this way if you had found it in our bathroom. I'm sorry honey. You can throw it away.
    Sharlene: I intend to.
Sharlene walks out of the back door to discard the needle...
John: Greg...I had the needle tested. You're shooting steroids again aren't you?
Gregory: Come on dad. You know why I do it. So I can get an edge.
John: I've talked to you time and time again about what steroids do to your body. Why do you insist on taking them?
Gregory: Dad the season's almost over. After that I'll stop.
John: Have you had any uncontrollable rages?
Gregory: Dad. I'm fine. I'm not a patient at the hospital.
John: Son I don't want you destroying yourself just so you can be better than the next guy at the football field. It's not worth it!
    Gregory: Lecture time right.
John: You're lucky I haven't told your mother yet. She'd make you stop playing football.
Gregory: I appreciate that. You know how important football is to me.
John: If I catch another steroid laced needle in this house, I'm gonna make you stop playing football.

    Kirkland: No.
Grant: You know the debate is coming up. I don’t think you should be here.
Kirkland: I’m right where I need to be dad.
Grant: Are you sending someone in your place?
    Kirkland: I’m not sending anyone.
Grant: So you mean to tell me you’re just gonna skip out on it.
Kirkland: Yep…I’m dropping out of the race.

Carl is outside of Rachel’s holding cell. Rachel is inside. They are both at the bars clenching hands…
Carl: I’m gonna get you out of here.
Rachel: I’m so sorry that I didn’t tell you about going to Reginald’s suite.
Carl: We can deal with that later. We need to focus on getting you out of here.
Rachel: Who would have wanted to frame me for this?
Carl: I will find out and get to the bottom of it. I’m going to go home and arrange bail.
Rachel: We don’t know if I’m going to even make bail.
Carl: Darling don’t think like that. We’re gonna get you out of here okay. I love you.
    Rachel: I love you.
Carl leaves and Rachel turns and walks slowly toward her cot.
Rachel: Who would want me to take the fall for Reginald’s murder?
Suddenly, Rachel hears a clacking of heels walking toward her cell, and Rachel turns around…and sees Iris.
Iris: Well well well. Some people do get what they deserve.
Rachel: You! I should’ve known you would do something like this.
    Iris: Do what?
Rachel: You know exactly what I’m talking about. You set me up.
Iris: Oh my God…you think I set you up to take the fall for Reginald’s murder?

Cass: Last I saw him he was with Rachel down in her cell.
Frankie turns her back to the door.

Grant: Wait a minute. Who put you up to this? Charlie? Victoria? Jake?
Kirkland: No dad it was my decision.
Grant: I want you to follow your dreams son. Don’t let anyone deter you.
Kirkland: I get it, but I don’t want to be part of this anymore. I don’t wanna be in the political game.
Grant: Would it have anything to do with that flash drive I obtained?
Kirkland: I’m not dropping out of the race because of that. I want to marry Charlie.
Grant: Even after what I saw on that flash drive. Does she know?
Kirkland: No she doesn’t know, and nobody is going to tell her.
Grant: You can still be married and pursue the mayor’s seat.
Kirkland: Charlie makes me a better man. I love her so much.
Grant: If you love her son, then you’ll tell her what you did in Genoa City…and you’ll also tell her about Scott Granger.
Kirkland: Yeah because you know how to have a great marriage.
Grant: Son I don’t want you to make the same mistakes that I did.
Kirkland: Charlie is the best thing that’s ever happened to me.
    Grant makes a phone call.
Grant: Has Kirkland Harrison conceded his votes? Okay thank you.
    Grant turns to Kirkland.
Grant (sighs): Well…If this is really what you want, then I won’t stand in your way.
Grant goes over to the safe, gets the flash drive, and gives it to Kirkland.
    Kirkland: This is everything?
Grant: This is all I’ve got.
    Kirkland: Thank you.
Kirkland walks toward the front door…and stops.
    Kirkland: I forgive you.
Grant (shocked): What did you say?
Kirkland (turning around): I forgive you…for everything that happened when I was younger.
Grant: You…you don’t know how long I’ve waited to hear that from you.
    They embrace.
Grant: I love you son. No politics will ever change that.
Kirkland: I love you, too dad.

Iris: I have no idea what you’re talking about.
    Rachel: Did you kill him?
Iris: I don’t know what you’re saying. You’re getting crazy in your old age. I had nothing to do with Reginald’s murder.
Rachel: He did help you take over Cory Publishing. Maybe you wanted him out of the way because he knows something.
Iris: It’s not Cory Publishing anymore. It’s Cory Productions.
Rachel: You really think you’ve won haven’t you?
Iris: I’ve got the prize. Why would I have wanted Reginald to die?
Rachel: Only you can answer that question.
Iris: I didn’t kill Reginald, but you…you are the perfect suspect. You have all the motive in the world, and you deserve to be locked up like the animal you are.

Janice has her right hand in her jacket pocket and sees Frankie on her cell phone with Cass.
Cass: I wanted to know if you wanted to ride together to Christy's parole hearing tomorrow.
    Frankie: Sure. Why not?
Cass: I'm gonna need someone to drive. I'm gonna be up for most of the night arranging Rachel's bail.
Frankie: Of course. I'll take the wheel.
    Cass: Thank you.
    Frankie: Of course.
Janice tries to duck back inside but as Frankie hangs up her cell phone, she turns around catches Janice, and confronts her.
Frankie: Aunt Sharlene? It’s good to see you. I’ve been looking all over for you. Have you gotten any of my messages?
Janice: I’m sorry I…haven’t checked them.
Frankie: What are you doing here?
Janice flashes back to injecting poison in the liquor bottle in the living room, and then she puts the needle in her right pocket.
Janice: I came to see…if your brother needed anything.
    Frankie: Cory?
Janice: Yes, but he’s not here.
Frankie: You know why don’t you come with me down to the station. I’m sure Rachel could use your support. We could ride down together.
Janice: You know what I left something inside.
    Frankie: I’ll wait out here.
Suddenly, Janice cracks a vase over Frankie’s head and knocks her unconscious.

    WINTHROP HOUSE - Cass
    is on his cell phone…
Cass: Frankie it’s me. We have to talk about this. I know things didn’t go the way you wanted them to. Please call me. I’ve had a bit of a change of heart.
Cass turns around and sees Charlie.
    Charlie: About what?
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    LOVE MANSION
Donna answers the door and Vicky walks in.
Vicky: You know I am so sick of the both of them. I swear they’re out to destroy my family.
    Donna: Victoria---
Vicky: I caught that little bitch with Bridget. She said “they’re sisters”. I wish Stacey and Lindsay would take the next rocket to Mars and never return!
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    MCKINNON’S HOUSE
    Jake is with Stacey.
Jake: What are you doing here?
Stacey: We didn’t finish our conversation the other day.
Jake: Stacey I can’t do this.
Stacey: I told you that I was still in love with you and never said anything.
Jake: What do you want me to tell you Stacey? That I feel the same way?
    Stacey: Do you?
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mac’s Children are in Iris’s office.
Matthew: Come on Michael, you’re not seriously considering this?
Paulina: She doesn’t have any leverage. Let’s arrange for the hearing and get her out.
Amanda: You can’t let her take Brava from us!
Iris: Michael. The decision is yours.
    Michael paces back and forth…
Matthew: We can’t let Iris have her way.
Amanda: Brava and Cory Productions belongs to us!
Michael: SHUT UP! All of you! You sound like a bunch of whiny little brats!

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Cass: Hey honey.
Charlie: I take it Christy didn’t get parole.
    Cass: Thank God.
Charlie: So I wonder what you had a change of heart about. Are you saying that?
    Cass nods his head.
Charlie: Wait a second. You’re actually giving me your blessing? I think we might need to call John to have you checked out.
Cass: Your old man is gonna be the one to walk you down the aisle. Certainly won’t be Grant!
Charlie: Wow dad. I don’t know what to say.
Cass: You better say thank you or I’m gonna change my mind.
    Charlie (elated): Thank you!
Cass: I was in denial about it, but it seems like he really makes you happy. I’m not gonna stand in your way.
    Charlie and Cass embrace.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Donna: Victoria will you calm down and tell me what happened?
Vicky: I saw Lindsay and Bridget chatting it up at the Center. I could’ve wrung that wench’s scrawny little neck.
Donna: There’s no need for you to panic.
Vicky: The next thing you know Lindsay will be trying to ingratiate herself into my family. I’ll tell you mother, I’m NOT gonna let that happen.
Donna: The only way you’re going to stop her is telling Jake the truth.
Vicky: I wish Stacey never told me that Jake was Lindsay’s father.
Donna: You’re giving Lindsay way too much power, when she’s not the one you need to watch out for.
Vicky: What do you mean? Of course I need to keep an eye on her.
Donna: If she was going to tell Jake, she would have by now, but she hasn’t, has she? The one person you REALLY need to keep away from Jake...is Stacey.
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jake: Stacey that was a long time ago. I am married with a family now.
Stacey: It’s a simple question. Do you or do you not still feel that same way about me as I do for you?
Jake: I wasn’t even in my right mind. You fell in love with someone I barely remember being.
Stacey: You gave me something that I thought I could never have again. I will always be grateful to you.
Jake: Whatever it is you thought I gave you, maybe you’re confusing gratitude with love?
Stacey: Jake I know what I’m feeling, and I can’t deny it anymore. I never stopped loving you. We could be a family.
Jake: Family? Stacey what are you….? I...I think you need to leave.
    Bridgetwalks slowly downstairs.
Stacey: Think about what I said.
Bridget: No he doesn’t. He has his family. Me and mom. How can you come in here and try to hit on my dad?
Jake: Bridget this doesn’t concern you. Stacey please leave.
    After Stacey leaves…
Bridget: That’s Lindsay’s mom isn’t it? I’m gonna tell mom what she did.
    Jake: No you’re not.
    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Michael: I should call you all Mac’s brat pack. The way you’re fighting over this company that he wanted ALL of his children to share equally.
Iris: Matt, Paulina, and Amanda really don’t want me here, so I offered a way out. I think it’s a viable solution for everyone. Practically a no-brainer.
Paulina: Yeah you would know about having no brains Iris.
Matthew: Michael what are you going to do?
Amanda: The only logical solution here is twenty percent of Cory Productions between you, Sandy, Matt, Paulina and me.
Iris: If that’s the way you’re going Michael, nobody is gonna get a damned thing.
Michael takes out envelopes and hands them to all…
Michael: I didn’t wanna do this, but I’ll see you all at the hearing.

    PART 1
    AT THE CENTER…
Toni and KC are sitting at a table.  KC sips her latte.
KC:  You know I had a great date the other day.
    Toni:  With Eric Stenbeck?
    KC:  Yeah.
    Toni:  Oh…great.
    KC:  But?
    Toni:  Nothing.
KC:  Is it because he’s James Stenbeck’s and Christy Carson’s son?
Toni:  His DNA is questionable but that doesn’t mean anything.
KC:  It wasn’t his idea to crash Kirkland and Charlie’s wedding reception.  It was Christy’s.
Toni:  I don’t care whose idea it was.  I just think you should take things slow because you don’t know him.
KC:  We’ve been talking for a few weeks, of course I don’t know him yet.
Toni:  Look I’mma keep it real.  There’s something about him that isn’t right, and I don’t want you to get hurt.
KC:  Eric is cool, and I like him.  Nothing is gonna happen to me.
Toni:  That’s what you say now.
KC:  Come on Toni, have a little faith in me.
Toni:  I’ve got plenty of that for you, but it’s Eric I don’t trust.
    Allen walks up.
    Allen:  I don’t either.
    KC:  Oh not you, too.
Allen:  He’s up to no good, and your mother and I don’t want you to be collateral damage.  I’m not gon’ sit by and watch it happen.
Toni:  Allen where are you going?
    -------------------------------------
    COFFEE SHOP…
Allen walks in, and accosts Eric, who is wiping down a table.
Allen:  Can I talk to you for a minute bruh?
    Eric:  I’m working.
Allen:  Tell em you on break.
Allen grabs Eric and escorts him to a corner of the shop.
    Eric:  What is this about?
Allen:  It’s about you and KC.  I don’t think she should be seeing you.
Eric:  Well isn’t that a choice that she has to make?
Allen:  You got a smart ass mouth don’t you?
Allen gets directly in Eric’s face, as Eric is backed up against the wall.
Allen:  I don’t know what you and your sociopathic, demented mother are up to, but I’ll be damned if KC gets dragged down with you.  If my daughter gets hurt, you gon deal with me, and trust me my man, that’s not something you want.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
    AT KIRKLAND’S SUITE…
Charlie is changing purses in the common area as Kirkland walks out from their bedroom.
    Kirkland:  I made...reservations for us at Tops...tonight.
    Charlie:  What time?
    Kirkland:  Eight o’clock.
    Charlie:  Okay.
Charlie focuses as she continues to take her things out of one purse and place them into another.
Kirkland:  I’m looking forward to it.
    Charlie:  Yep.
Charlie walks past Kirkland to the closet...
Charlie:  Can’t find my pink lip gloss.
Kirkland:  Babe did you hear anything that I said?
    Charlie:  Yeah.
Kirkland:  Come on, you mean to tell me you’re still mad about what happened at the coffee shop?
Charlie:  Dogs get mad Kirkland, unless you’re trying to call me a bitch.
Charlie gets a shoe box out and sifts through it.
    Charlie:  Here it is.
She walks back to her purse and puts the lip gloss in it.
Kirkland:  Charlie can you stop for a minute and talk to me?
    Charlie:  What is it?
Kirkland:  I can’t believe you’re freezing me out because of Eric Stenbeck.
    Charlie:  That’s not it.
    Kirkland:  Then what is it?
Charlie:  It’s you.  You won’t let it go.
Kirkland:  You’re damned right I’m not gonna let it go.  He’s weird.
Charlie:  I saw him arguing with his mother.  He had nothing to do with crashing the wedding reception.  It was all Christy’s idea.
Kirkland:  Is that what he told you?
Charlie:  Eric is not as bad as you are making him out to be.  I don’t think he’s anything like his mother.
Kirkland:  Unbelievable.  He’s got you snowed doesn’t he?
Charlie:  We’re so not doing this.
Kirkland:  You need to stay away from Eric.
    Charlie walks to the door.
Charlie:  You need to let it go.  Eric is not like his mother.
    --------------------------------------------------------
    CHRISTY’S SUITE
Christy looks at her cell phone and an alert.
    Christy:  Two more days.

    PART 2
Allen walks back to Toni and KC’s table and sits down.
    Toni:  What did you do?
Allen:  Nothing a father wouldn’t do for his daughter.
KC:  What did you say to him?
Allen:  He’s shady, KC, and if it were up to me you’d be seeing somebody else.
KC:  I’m glad you realize that because it’s not up to either of you.  I’m a grown woman.
    Toni:  Grown people make mistakes.
KC:  You two need to let it go.  So what he and his mother crashed Kirkland and Charlie’s wedding?  It wasn’t even his idea!
    Toni:  Keep your voice down.
KC:  No!  I’m gonna continue to see Eric whether you two like it or not.
Allen:  You need to get out of it before you get too deep.  He’s gonna hurt you.  He’s got some kind of agenda.
KC:  Y’all didn’t hear me did you?  I am going to date Eric, and that’s it!
    KC gets up and leaves.
Toni:  Don’t walk away from me!
Allen:  Let her go.  Maybe she’ll cool off and come to her senses.
Toni:  Not happening.  She’s is more stubborn than a mule.  I don’t need this.  I gotta plan detail for the party at the Corys.
Allen:  It’s like she’s driving ninety miles an hour and she doesn’t see the brick wall she’s gonna hit if she gets any deeper with him.
Meanwhile, Eric is at the door of the coffee shop, secretly watching Toni and Allen.
    ------------------------------------------------
    AT STACEY’S…
Lindsay and Charlie are sitting on the living room couch each with their legs folded, eating ice cream…
Lindsay:  Oh cousin you sure know how to make a gal feel better.
Charlie:  Nothing like a good ole pint of butter pecan.
Lindsay:  Yummy.  I’m so happy you came.  You’ve really cheered me up.
    Charlie:  Yeah...right.
    Lindsay:  What’s wrong cuz?
    Charlie (sighing):  It’s Kirkland.
Lindsay:  You seem down...you wanna talk about it?
Charlie:  We’re fighting over Eric Stenbeck.
Lindsay:  You mean the guy who came with Christy Carson to your wedding reception uninvited.
Charlie:  I saw him arguing with his mother in the coffee shop the other day.  He insisted it wasn’t his idea, and the more I talk to him, the more I see that he’s not like Christy.  Kirkland doesn’t see it that way.
Lindsay:  You probably gotta see it from his perspective.  I think he’s just trying to protect you.
    Charlie:  He’s overreacting.
Lindsay:  Given what Christy did to your parents I could actually understand it.
Charlie:  But it doesn’t mean that Eric is gonna do the same thing.  You know what...this visit isn’t about me, it’s about you.  I’m sorry.  I’m supposed to be cheering you up and here I am talking about a disagreement with my husband.
Lindsay:  Don’t apologize.  This is helping me more than you’d ever know.  We’re family right?  You know what, let’s get outta here.  I can’t go back to work because I’m on leave, and I’m tired of being cooped up in this house.
    Charlie: Are you sure?
Lindsay:  Yeah.  Let me take a quick shower and we’ll be on our way.  You know maybe you need to talk to your parents about Christy, and you’ll probably understand why Kirkland is so adamant about Eric.
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kirkland is set to leave the suite but he is distracted by a text on his phone from Scott Granger, Jr. from Genoa City.
Scott:  hey sexy married guy.  hru
    Kirkland:  what’s up Scotty
Scott:  hey i gotta tell u something.  u know the guy at the GCAC?
    Kirkland:  who?
Scott:  the bartender you slept with.  i heard he’s HIV+.  U should get tested.  just thought id tell u.  ttyl.
    Kirkland is horrified.
Kirkland:  No...no this can’t be happening.
Suddenly, Kirkland hears a familiar voice.
    Voice:  Yes it can.
Kirkland turns around and is shocked to see Ryan wearing a collared plaid shirt, blue jeans and boots.
Kirkland:  Uncle Ryan?  Why am I seeing you right now?
Ryan:  Because your lie is getting out of control.
Kirkland:  What are you talking about?  Wait a minute, aren’t angels dressed in white?
Ryan:  Not this time, and don’t try to change the subject.
Kirkland:  I’m scared man.  I’m so scared.
    Ryan:  That text?
Kirkland:  I only slept with the guy to get info on my father.  I wasn’t in love with him or anything.
Ryan:  But you were in love with Scott Granger right?
Kirkland:  Yeah I was.  Why are you bringing all this up?  I’m married to Charlie.
Ryan:  And you haven’t even told her about your past.
Kirkland:  I can’t do that.  I’d lose her forever.
Ryan:  You’re not giving her enough credit.  You’re not trusting in your love.
Kirkland:  I’m scared Uncle Ryan.  The guy I slept with is HIV positive.  What if I....?
Ryan:  There’s only one way to find out right?  You’re gonna have to go get tested.
Kirkland:  What if I infected Charlie?  I could never live with myself.
Ryan:  Did you use protection when you slept with that guy?
Kirkland:  Yeah but condoms aren’t foolproof.  Sometimes they break.
Ryan:  Kid..stop panicking.  Go get an HIV test.
Kirkland:  This day has come straight from hell, no pun intended.
Ryan:  That’s because you’re lying to her.  When you tell the truth, you’re gonna feel much better.
Kirkland:  Her parents are gonna kill me, especially Cass.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------
    AT THE WINTHROPS
Cass and Frankie are in the living room.  Frankie is touching up her make up, as Cass grabs his briefcase.
