If Y&R want Kyle and Lola to be some supercouple then they've gone about it all wrong.

Keeping them apart is SOAP 101(or at least it used to be)  If they had to go with Kyle marrying Summer they should have got at least a year out of that marriage . Meanwhile Lola turns to someone else and by the time Kyle has disentangled himself from Summer  Lola has committed to him etc etc.

Lola hasn't even been on a year.

the only thing I can guess is they're either not endgame or they're planning for the actor that plays Kyle not reupping, or something. Because it makes no sense the direction this story has shifted into, when they were playing it like Kyle had feelings for both Lola/Summer, and was legit torn. And then suddenly everything shifted and it was like he never cared for Summer. LOL

This show is delusional if they think viewers care about this wedding.

lmao, right? And we're supposed to believe Jack Abbott co-signed this marriage w/o an ironclad prenup? And this all went down w/o any pomp or lather, if Lola did sign one? Girl, bye. These shows constantly ignore the realistic dramatic angles and go for the nonsense bs cheap ish.

Hope should be happy that Taylor bought that baby and that Steffy has mothered her.  If not, and the baby went to an unknown woman, it would be a done deal and Hope would never know that her child was alive.  I know...it's just a soap.

to be fair, Reese only got the idea because Taylor was interested in finding a baby for Steffy... one could argue Reese never would have done this if the temptation of Taylor wasn't there. One could also argue Hope should have kept her ass at home like everyone was telling her to. LOL

Hope didn't steal that jackass.  He goes wherever women tell him to.  And if we are talking about theft of an idiot, let's address the GONDALA!!!!!

It's not even about proving a crime.  It's about Hope having to fight for a child stolen from her.  This is a no brainer.  While I'm no fan of this Hope, it makes no sense for Steffy to put her thru something like this.  No matter how long Steffy had the kid, it's heartless and selfish to torture Hope this way.  She has no legal claim to that kid.

the gondola had nothing to do with Steffy. LOL

as for the rest, ehhhh... who are we to judge the depth of feelings Steffy has for this baby she named after her dead twin sister? I mean it's not fair. But  life's not fair. And feelings cloud judgment all the time, and babies aren't property regardless of DNA. I can totally understand why Steffy refuses to let go of what she views as her baby. 🤷‍♂️

Steffy refusing to give the baby up now is realistic, but once she processes everything, as much as it will hurt, to take a woman she watched suffer to court over her own baby?  That is beyond ridiculous and a judge should laugh at her and tell Steffy to get help.  Hope didn't abandon the kid and a person with an IQ above negative 3 would know what the right thing is.  There's no drama here.

Hope needs to change her baby's name!

Hope and them need to prove all the paperwork is fake and a crime was committed, first. And if they can't/don't, then yes a judge would see this case. Especially when no DNA test has been done to prove shiz. I doubt they're gonna have Flo/Zoe, etc arrested and charged, and extradite (?? how can they do anything? LOL) Reese.

that's another thing that makes this all so dumb... that Liam didn't go do a DNA test to AT LEAST see if the kid matches his DNA, before running to Hope with his gut feeling and hearsay or whatever.

anyway, I'm a lot more sympathetic to Steffy than Hope. Hope stole Steffy's husband, but because she's "Hope" that's OK. If it were anyone else she would be looked at like a homewrecker.

such a clusterfork of a story, that the writers won't even bother to go that deep on. It will all just be glossed over, eventually.

Wait...Hope has to fight that frozen face bitch for her own baby AFTER she keeps the name Phoebe for the kid?  What the entire [!@#$%^&*]?!

literal, rich white people probs. If either of them were poor there would be no storyline.

anyway, Steffy is in shock, as she should be. This part of the SL is the only thing that makes sense. Just like peeps are side-eyeing Steffy for fighting to keep the baby those same peeps would be calling her a heartless biotch if she was like "here's ur baby, Hope!" and just handed her over. Steffy's probably prego w/ Liam's 3rd kid and that's gonna smooth everything over in the fallout.

  7. i gotta say this whole Dimera/Kristen-Nicole/Stefan-O/Tony storyline is really good and interesting, to me. It actually feels like there's lives at stake. Killing Ted was so shocking, and exactly what the story needed to keep forward momentum going and I'm loving AZ this time around and SH's Kristen.

and I love Xander. I haven't seen a guy on DAYS w/ charisma like PT since James Scott.

as an aside GV is gorgeous as always. Hope the show keeps him on frontburner, more.

I can see I'm in the minority here, but I actually enjoyed Billy Miller's performances as both Jason and Drew.  I know where writing is concerned, everyone has their own opinion about story and direction, but one thing that always bothered me was how Sonny, Carly, Michael, etc. all seemed to drop Drew like a hot potato once they found out he wasn't the "real" Jason.  I think that made me hate Sonny, Carly, & Co. even more than the various murders and misdeeds they have done in the past.  I wish Mr. MIller well in all his future endeavors.

i didn't mind him either, and actually think he's one of the better actors on soap, so I don't get all the gripes about how his acting is "lazy" - which is funny, because peeps say MS does "too much" but BM does "very little" and it's like... what do y'all want? Seriously. It's pretty obvious many on here let their dislike of writers/regimes/actors IRL color their performance. It's sad, really.

such are the pitfall of social media/the internet. LOL

Music can enhance a scene (or if used incorrectly, can distract) but the writing is #1. There have been times when writing, dialogue and the action of the scene have been so compelling that I didn't even notice cheap sets or music cues.  It's only upon revisiting episodes that I will notice those things but terrible dialogue, stiff, wooden acting-- those things are inescapably noticeable to me.

That B&B scene with Ronn Moss that everybody mocks...it's the memory of the cheesy dialogue and the poor delivery that is embedded in my mind, I have no recollection of what music, if any was used in that scene.

OTOH, there was a great scene on ATWT where I went back to watch on YouTube, the performances and dialogue were so crisp, so sharp and compelling, it was only when I went and observed the scene a second (more like third) time on YouTube that I noticed how cheap the sets were (someone banged on a door and the entire wall literally shook!), yet I still appreciated how good the dialogue and delivery of it was, and how well it held up over decades.

I can overlook cheap sets and usually (not always, I admit) tune out the music cues but I cannot get past poorly written dialogue that is delivered poorly-- bad writing is inexcusable to me. Throw it all away!

idk, I personally feel music can be far more powerful than writing. A scene without any dialogue but the right music can be can transform a scene into something truly  unforgettable.

i don't remember much about LotR, tbh, but this scene is burned into my memory.

and this SKAM scene would be so forgettable otherwise.

music is a powerful tool, which soaps used to treat it as such but with slashed budgets it's all so cheap and forgettable/annoying. 😴

I love how these soap Execs/HW think that slotting out and slotting in actors are going to improve what's wrong with these shows, lol.  That's like re-arranging deck chairs on the Titanic.

I want to tell them "It's the writing, stupid!"

it's more than just the writing it's the music, too, imo. Whenever they play that stupid twang for Kyle/Lola I roll my eyes. And the "villain" music B&B plays for Thomas isn't it either. And if I hear that Metro Court song on GH one more damn time... 🤢 🔪I know they can't afford real music with the tiny budgets but like why do they need music for every scene? It's like damn.

What have I missed? Last time I looked Summer was drinking herself to death, and extremely bitter about Kyle and Lola.  Now it sounds like she's on her way to becoming the next kyle & lola cheerleader.  What happened?

show is trying to close that SL down to get to Summer/Theo/Phyllis quicker, imo. Yikes! Lots of foreshadowing with "if you do anything to hurt Summer you're dead" etc. Theo is a better looking throwaway Kyle, tbh. And Phyl still has to get Summer back for screwing Billy.

  12. i would respect Lola a lot more as a character that values morals but as a character in general if she had told Kyle she couldn't be with him because of what he did to Summer... for her. And stuck to that, for at least a short period. And then FROM THERE we should be shown Kyle's growth as a character and they find their way back to each other, after we are shown how Kyle's become a "better person" etc. But, nah. This whole relationship is a farce built on a joke. And watching Lola act all high and mighty - knowing that it's all an act - is such a turn off! It's like watching Carly read Nelle/Ava the riot act *knowing* her rap sheet. It's like hunTTy, sit tf DOWN. 🤦‍♂️
