i was never a big fan of Kyle anyway, but I agree w/ this. I was partial to Summer being the "weakness" of this young, family-business-minded upstart Abbot, and the bones were def. there to build a believable Kyle/Summer romance, but it's all in the dumpster out back now. Especially with MS coming back. I honestly believe we are hurtling toward some sort of Phyl/Kyle/Summer/Billy quadrangle with Lola & Vic on the prerephrary... that's why they keep reminding us that Billy and Summer slept together... 

seeing nununuAdam on the screen, it is clear the guy was cast because he looks like a young EB/Victor.

I actually do kind of like the Theo they have now. I think he's really young looking but I like his laid back attitude. The other one that is coming on June 3rd, looks older/more mature. I think they cast him because they decided they wanted to have him as a longer term love interest for Summer. I think they felt the 2nd Theo would be a better fit for Summer. The first one is romantically interested in her and I believe that will continue when the 2nd one shows up.

 

They need to free Summer from the Kyle/Lola triangle. This triangle is not working. It stopped being viable when they had Kyle decide to abruptly dump Summer and have him flaunt his affair with Lola in front of her face and others. Kyle is treating Summer poorly and isn't showing any regard for her feelings. He's not acting like someone who claimed to be her friend/care about her. He's trying to deliberately hurt her/rub his affair in her face. IMO, Kyle and Lola are toxic together, and I want to see Summer removed from their orbit romantically. Then their relationship can tank, without her being blamed for it.

 

yeah, the one now. I just google'd and the recast is very handsome, but I like the one now. Oh well.

as for the triangle it was never happening, and became a complete joke when Summer became obsessed w/ Kyle. It worked better with Summer being Kyle's "dream girl" and Summer not giving an eff. And Lola's still boring af. I would have liked her character a lot more if he dumped Kyle and washed her hands of him after what he did to Summer. Her being all whateves and not caring about Summer makes her just like everyone else in Genoa City, as opposed to being someone with a moral compass/character.

Truth be told, I think there is only so much you could with him, if he mostly interacted with Kyle/Lola/Summer. He'd be limited romantically if he mostly interacted with that group. (One reason being that Summer is his niece and you couldn't pair them together.) Plus he has a lot more life experiences/darkness in his past than those three do, and his experiences really wouldn't match up well with theirs.

 

I think they will use Sharon to help introduce/intergrate him back on the canvas but that he will end up back up with Chelsea. Who interestingly enough is also kind of between both age groups. (Though she has interacted quite a with the Nick/Sharon age group.)

errrrr, I'm not saying that Adam should be involved w/ the Summer/Kyle/Lola group - at all. But that the actor looks like he's closer to their age range than SC and JM.

it was silly that Lily took Cane back after he faked his death, but it was like whatever... soap gonna soap, and he did it for their own good.  But having him not only cheat randomly, but there's a baby as a result... wtf????? MESS.

As if these women aren't made to feel insecure enough as it is, now they will have to play opposite a guy that's supposed to be within their age range, but is over a decade younger. He honestly looks like he should be involved in the whole Summer/Kyle/Lola mess.

OK, wow... this is a huge get. I think she'll actually be able to make the character "happen" in a way MS just could not. I wonder if we'll get a Carly/Nina rivalry, now? LOL

i'm not gonna argue with you about a middling soap actress getting work outside of soap. You clearly have no idea what you are talking about outside of your fantastical imagination, and I have no patience anyway. 

like, the proof is in the pudding. GT wouldn't have kept the role warm for all these years if she had better options. She wouldn't have been on GL during it's dying day or taken this role at all if she had better options. Y'all need to stop acting like these soap actors are destined for bigger and better things, when the truth is it's all about younger peeps and importing more talented/cheaper actors from overseas for film and tv. Look at the tv/streaming landscape. Actually look at it. Big name film actors/actresses are all taking over prime-time tv/and streaming, while movies are dominated by younger actor/actresses and peeps from Australia/UK. It was hard in the past for a soap actor/actress to get roles outside of soap, and it's even harder now.

She has recently mentioned frustration with not being able to audition or pursue outside work because of the Y&R shooting schedule and the commute.

 

LOL and nobody outside of soaps gives one iota of a damn about what happens on soaps or with soap casting. This is 2019. Half the people in the business don't even realize these barely afloat shows are still on the air.  

 

I dont know what kind of goofy thought it is to think an actor goes to an audition and they say "oh no we can not cast her because she got replaced by some lady on Y&R"....LMAO!!!!!!

GH is probably planning to bring on GT as someone inside the DoD cult, to give the SL some life because it's pretty dead, imo. Or bring her on as a recast of the DA and dump EH, or a recast of Hayden or Britt... lol

Y&R doesn't care about Ashley, because they don't feel like she can drive story, meanwhile they Phil has been used nonstop and been forced into nearly every major SL on the canvas. It's such a dumb, missed op that Ashley and Lily weren't involved in the JT sl, instead of Phil and Sharon. They could have had Maddie's innocence campaign or whatever for the mom's release be successful, and she's out of prison and free to be Vic's friend or whatever. And then Cane kisses Vic, and the drama just evolves more naturally. Instead of the flop that we got. 

and with a younger Phil... why not have her sleep with Kyle, when she finds out Summer slept with Billy? Seriously, these stories write themselves when you use the right characters, instead of trying to force crap like a Nick/Phil retread.
