  1. Does anyone know why Judith Baldwin left/was sacked and replaced by Nancy Burnett? Like others have said, she fit the role of Beth Logan better.
  2. I think it looks very much like the kind of dress I'd expect from Forrester Creations. They're not exactly an avant-garde fashion house.
  3. Oh, Ridge is committed..... Well, we all know how deep his commitment usually is. I'm amazed that either Taylor or Brooke still believe him when he utters those words. Then again, I'm amazed that either of them even bother with him at all anymore, and I have been amazed at that for a looong time now.
  4. I can sort of see why people nowadays could find old episodes of Emmerdale Farm slow. They are. There are a lot of scenes where you just see someone walking through a field, or driving a tractor down a narrow country road. But for me those scenes work differently. They help me immerse myself into their world, they create an atmosphere and build the foundation you need for the more dramatic elements. It gives me the feeling that I'm watching actual people live their lives, which is something that the current show is completely unable to do. You care about Annie, Amos, Joe, Dolly and the rest and what they go through because they feel real. Matt breaking Annie's favourite teapot, grandad Sam winning a vegetable contest or Alison installing a freezer in the shop might sound uninteresting, but I'll take that over the increasingly outlandish stories of today's show anytime.
  5. Yes I did. Thank you very much. It's funny, Emmerdale Farm had a reputation here as the show where nothing ever happened, but that was obviously not the case. Dramatic things did happen, but not every single week, which is why, when they did happen, the impact was that much bigger. Now it's just another plot point....
  6. The Grossgill Fire. A pivotal moment in the breakdown of Matt and Dolly's marriage.
  7. Is it just me or does Ethel Everett remind anyone else a little of Patricia Bruder?
  8. John or Marlena should have been first in line, that's true. But I think Hope was a perfectly valid choice as well considering everything that Stefano did to her. What I meant was that whoever got to perform the actual deed was a minor quibble compared to the major quibble whether it was right for someone to kill him in the first place.
  9. Frankly I have no problem with that one. Stefano tortured Hope and people she loves for years, even decades. That she finally rid the world of that monster was fine by me. Whether Hope should have been to do it or if that honour should have gone to John, Marlena or anyone else of Stefano's victims is a minor quibble.
  10. Happy Birthday to the greatest 🌟
  11. Wow, is this Nancy Mace person actually for real?! Clearly she's not all there in the head....
  12. I wish someone would tell that to
  13. Is there anyone on B&B that haven't? 🤔
  14. Wow..... No wonder tourism to the US is falling like a stone. Who would want to visit a country that does this to its own citizens?
