Yeah, Robert Foxworth was considered to play JR Ewing. Dallas never would have gotten past its first short season with that casting. Larry Hagman had the wonderful gift of being able to make an unlikeable character likable. Foxworth wasn’t even able to make a likable character likable.

  How true! I could never stand self-righteous Chase and always rooted for Angela to crush him.

So Hope and Liam get divorced over a kiss? That's a big stretch and really not believable.

It's right up Brad Bell's alley though. Remember when Ridge out of the blue proposed to Taylor just because he saw Brooke and Grant kiss? He had everything planned for a proposal to Brooke. He had even designed a wedding dress for her to wear at a fashion show. All of a sudden he switched, had Taylor model the dress and proposed to her on the runway. All without even talking to Brooke first and ask her about the kiss.

What's the point of accelerating everything in the Lope storyline? I don't get how we go from Rome to divorce in three weeks. Really.

That's typical for B&B. Either it moves as slow as molasses, repeating itself ad nauseum, or it moves with the speed of light, skipping over important plot points.

  4. With Djokovic not getting any younger, and Alacaraz still so young and with so much potential growth I wonder if Novak will manage to get that elusive 24th Major and tie with Margaret Court, or if he will end up, like Serena, on 23.

This loss today also mean that he again misses out on the chance to complete a real, calendar year Grand Slam.

The best one was defeated by the next one.  Congrats, Carlos!!  The US Open better not screw up by having these two on the same side of the draw.

    If they're still ranked 1 & 2 then that won't be a problem.

I didn't think Alcaraz could do it at Wimbledon, on grass... but he played great.

I guess we're really seeing the end of the Federer/Nadal/Djokovic era. It's lasted a very long time.

  6. Wow, a single game lasting more than 25 minutes! On grass nonetheless!

I remember Steffi Graf beating Natasha Zvereva in Paris and the entire match only lasted about 10 minutes longer than that, on clay!!
