Nola should be meeting Quinton soon. I hope the person who has been uploading these clips has that episode.

I also don't think hospital security guards would have been the norm in 1968.
I'm looking forward to seeing how Hope Memorial gets out of this mess. No one else was in the room when Lila asked Nick to help her so he doesn't have any witnesses. I can't see Ralph making a sea change in his attitude the way Bunker did.
And yes, amybrickwallace, Matt and Nick look great in their scrubs (of course, I think Nick always looks great, lol).

Thanks for the article DRW50! I get a bonus with the SSH picture, lol.
Today's episode was very intense too. I won't say anymore for now in case others haven't had a chance to see it.

I may have trouble looking at Steve the same way again after seeing today's first episode. I had no idea this was how he became involved with Karen. By the time I remember seeing them, she was causing all the problems. Now I see he brought the problems on himself.

I knew that would be happening but I wasn't expecting it this soon, lol!

Yes, that was Larry Linville.

Matt's blind spot regarding Karen drives me crazy but I guess it makes him human. Otherwise he would be too perfect to be true. He also seems overly accommodating to Ed Stark so far.
Nick and Althea are just beautiful together no matter what they're doing. I'm looking forward to everyone's reaction when they learn why the Andersons are against medical treatment.

I think he's a piece of work, but I sorta chuckle at how utterly shameless he is at being obnoxious and self-centered. It's hilarious how he always ends up in the middle of things and no one ever just tells him to get the hell out. When he showed up at the hotel after they pulled Liz off the ledge, he just rolled in the room and positioned himself right in her face as everyone stood and watched, and he just started messing with her like it's his job. I have to admire his brazenness But I wouldn't be against someone just hauling off and smacking him. Maggie's more than capable.
I'm intrigued by this Anderson story y'all are talking about! Somebody spoiler tag it so I can see what's going on lol
Without spoiling too much, someone actually does physically throw Bunker out of a place, lol. You should be seeing that one soon.
Regarding the Andersons,
a woman came to the clinic and Althea thinks she has a brain tumor. She has been acting very nervous about her husband finding out and won't come back for further tests or treatment. Some of us speculated that it was a religious issue and at the end of today's second episode that suspicion was confirmed.

Yeah, Maggie's eye rolling was in overdrive today (understandably). I'm very interested in how the Andersons' situation is going to be handled.
"Marcus Welby" did, though. When will The Kooky Kraut finally realize she's making a fool of herself?
Not until Matt stops enabling her! Maybe Steve's comments about the other interns thinking Karen is receiving favoritism from the Chief of Staff will do the trick.

All My Shadows, I'll be curious about what you think of Nathan Bunker when you catch up!

I wonder what the deal is with Lila Anderson that she can't let a doctor help her ? Did one kill her child ?
I've wondered whether it could be a religious issue?

I'm so upset about Bunker. He'd better be all right after all he's put us through, lol.

Ironic, isn't it? Watergate ended up becoming a bigger soap opera than any of the soaps on the air then - combined!!!
I remember watching the hearings in the summer of 1973. I was getting ready to start high school and had started being interested in politics. It was pretty interesting at the time. If I'm recalling correctly, the networks started taking turns in airing the hearings so the programs weren't pre-empted on every channel, every day.
In the 60s, I remember the soaps being pre-empted for the return of various space capsules. I used to get mad because you really couldn't see much. It didn't seem worth it to interrupt the soaps, lol. I wasn't old enough to appreciate I was witnessing history (except for the moon landing, of course, which happened at night). The cameras couldn't get close and you could only see a little blip splashing in the ocean.

I came across an old newspaper clipping on newspapers.com, dated August 2, 1968, that indicated Terry Kiser had already left the show to do a play. I thought he might have come back later but I could be confusing that with him being on "The Secret Storm."
amybrickwallace, I would watch Nathan Bunker's Place in a heartbeat, lol.

I would give anything to see those tapes Robert Clary had! Wonder whether he still has them (and they still work)? I'd also like to see the "Daze of Our Lives" that Edward Mallory did. I'm assuming that was something he did for himself and his co-workers.

I'm pretty sure that was Bud Cort (of Harold & Maude fame) who played the telegram delivery boy in today's second episode.

Bunker's scenes got to me too. House Jameson has been so wonderful in this role. I'm really going to miss him when he's gone. I hope he sticks around a while longer, at least to let us see Bunker finally walking.
And I also hope something develops between John and Bonnie. He's such a good guy and I'd like to see him be appreciated. It's been nice seeing Lynn Benish again too. I remember her from OLTL and always liked her.
Nothing against Kathleen Murray or her acting but she seems too soft in comparison to Bethel Leslie's Maggie, and that's been a disappointment in these key scenes regarding Matt, Maggie, and Karen. I could definitely see why Murray would have been a popular ingenue in her younger days though.

I don't remember Lydia Bruce playing Maggie as sarcastic but my best memories of her are from the 70s so she could have changed over the years. I always sort of thought of Matt and Maggie as the patriarchal/matriarchal figures because they seemed old (lol) to me at the time compared to the other characters (and myself).
Kathleen Murray reminded me very much of Ann Williams.

The article gives a passing mention of the show near its end.
Thanks, I overlooked it!

David Watson, who played Alfy, the owner of the diner/club where the kids hung out on this show, has died. I remember my sister had a huge crush on him way back when. The write-up doesn't mention "Never Too Young," though.

I'm hoping Bunker's tape recorder catches Karen saying something that would show Matt her true colors. I don't think he'll believe she has designs for him until he hears her come right out and say it.

Thanks for the pictures Kathyj! I had previously seen a few from this shower but they weren't in color. Great seeing so many old familiar faces. Notice Bill Hayes in the waiter outfit that he put on to crash the shower, lol.

Yes, that was PMG at the restaurant. Everyone but Matt is on to Karen. Of course, he's not thinking of her in a romantic way so he thinks Maggie is being ridiculous.

I'm stumped on that one saynotoursoap. Did you see her when this originally aired? It's fun to see these actors pop up unexpectedly.

Another tense hour. Ralph has gone beyond the deep end, waiting to get the "word," to kill everyone. Can't wait to see what happens next! Poor Carolee, she always has trouble getting people to listen to her (and she's usually right with her instincts). Loved the Nick & Althea scenes, especially when he thought she was teasing him on the phone and then when she was cradling him in her arms.
