  1. August 26 & 27, 1981 Heather enters Joe's apartment at Kelly's but he is not there. Meanwhile, Lee finds Joe asleep at their office and tells him that he looks terrible. Lee and Joe talk about the cold weather, they are both mystified by the drop in temperature. Joe decides to take off, despite Lee saying that he needs Joe's help. At the police station, Burt is on the phone with a crank caller about the weather. After the call ends, Joe arrives. Burt tells him he looks like an unmade bed. Joe explains how he convinced Sarah that Heather was using Edie's death against her and then hands over Lesley's gun to Burt. Burt is not happy when Joe tells him that he showed Heather the gun and decides to go get a warrant before Heather can skip town. Mikkos, Max, Tony, Victor and Caluga watch a news report on the drop in temperature in Port Charles (complete with generic blizzard footage lol). The anchor notes that it is the largest drop in temperature on record and that the temperature has now dropped to 52 degrees. Mikkos finally contacts Ballantine to issue his demands. After ranting on about how he plans to bring about world peace and the WSB can only stop wars, Mikkos tells Ballantine that he can control the weather and tells him to watch the weather in Port Charles. Meanwhile, Luke and Robert are concerned about Laura's condition. Luke says that he is going down to the Cassadine compound but Robert stops him. Laura wakes up and starts moaning feverishly. Robert assures Luke that chills are a normal part of a fever and speculates that she may have dengue fever, although she doesn't have all the symptoms. Robert goes off to find Tiffany, while Luke tries to get Laura to drink some water. Laura feels cold, so Luke decides to stoke up a fire in an attempt to get Laura to sweat the fever out. Lesley is watching a news report about the weather, while Alice opens the door to Rick. The two discuss the matter of Laura's whereabouts again and decide to contact Balantine, but Balantine is busy 'in a crucial discussion' (with Mikkos, see above). After the call, Rick and Lesley make a few quips about the weather with Alice, not realising that it's connected to the situation that Robert, Luke and Laura have found themselves in. Later Ballantine calls and Rock answers. Rick tells Ballantine that Robert and Luke got on the yacht, but Ballantine only tells them that he spoke with Mikkos. Rick is frustrated that Ballantine won't tell them more information. Amy arrives home wanting hot chocolate (because of the cold weather). Amy is annoyed that Rick and Laura are huddled talking about Laura again. Amy snidely refers to Luke and Laura going off to "Butcher's Hollow" last year. "Beecher's Corners" Lesley corrects her. This gives Lesley and Rick the idea to go see the Whittakers at Beecher's Corners. Robert returns to find Luke trying to build up the fire. An ape (a chimpanzee I think, but Robert and Luke also refer to it as a monkey) randomly shows up and steals Laura's black wig much to Luke's anger. Later, Robert notes that a guard is headed in their direction. Since they can't move Laura, Robert takes him down with a poisoned dart. Robert assures Luke that when the guard wakes up he won't want to tell anyone. Robert goes back to move the guard further away from the camp. The ape returns and steals Luke's gun. Robert is not happy when he returns and learns about it. Tiffany is unhappy that she is not allowed out of the compound and complains to Mikkos and Victor. Tiffany feigns loyalty to the Cassadine cause but refuses to stay 'in prison' as she puts it. Tiffany points out that she is a success on the stage, but Mikkos says that he is the writer, producer and director of this 'unfolding drama' and tells her that she can go sit in her dressing room if she won't take direction. He orders Victor to get Tiffany out of his sight. Heather is frantically packing. Rose arrives as Heather is about to flee and asks her where she is going; Heather pushes past her with her suitcases, so Rose tries to get in touch with Joe. Meanwhile Joe tells Lee how Heather stole Lesley's gun from the Webber home last Christmas. Joe is very upset and thinks that Heather will be committed to an institution for the criminally insane. Joe decides to go and have a drink. Rick and Lesley meet Mrs Whittaker for the first time at her farm in Beecher's Corners. They tell her about the situation with Luke and Laura. Mrs Whittaker assures the Webbers that Luke wouldn't leave Laura to face a situation on her own. Robert and Luke continue to argue about Laura's condition. When Laura becomes even more feverish, Luke is determined to go seek help from the Cassadines. Robert knocks Luke to the ground with a rabbit punch in order to stop him. Bryan and Claudia arrive at Kelly's. Claudia notes that it is now 48 degrees and it's still August. Bryan notes that Rose is a little uptight. Burt and some cops arrive but Rose tells them that it is too late as Heather has already left. Rose suggests that Heather might go to her mother. Mrs Whittaker tells Rick and Lesley about the time a few months ago when Luke and Laura both visited her separately. She also shows them a photo of Luke and Laura at the barn dance. Lesley sees that Laura is wearing the Lucy Johnson wig and both she and Rick realise that Laura used to wig to get onboard the Titan. Lesley calls Alice to tell her that they are at Beecher's Corners. After the call ends, Alice is surprised when Heather arrives. Heather tells Alice what is going on and begs her mother to hide her from the police. Burt arrives soon after, but Alice lies for Heather. After Burt has gone, Heather insists that she doesn't remember killing Diana even though she did plan to do it. Alice eventually gives her some money so she can leave town. Heather apologises to Alice and hugs her before she leaves. Luke is not happy with Robert but Robert says that he loves both Luke and Laura and that he is worried about Luke risking his life. He promises to go and figure something out, Luke gives him one hour. However, as Laura's illness continues to worsen, Robert and Luke are instead forced to cool Laura down with wet blankets. Robert climbs a tree and sees that Tiffany is on her way. When Tiffany arrives, she is shocked to see Laura in such a state. Tiffany begins to tell Robert and Luke about the Cassadine scheme to sprinkle diamond dust on some city to control it's weather, but Luke is more concerned about Laura. "Who cares!" he says; not realising that the weather machine is to be used on Port Charles. Tiffany promises to get some medicine and has to go quickly when Kemo calls for her. Lee and Gail are concerned about Joe; Lee - a recovering alcoholic - is particularly concerned about Joe potentially drinking too much. Gail calls Rose. Rose tells Gail that she has heard that Joe has gone to the Bucket of Blood. Lee heads there and as he walks in one of the bar patrons is blaming atomic bombs for changing the weather. Lee talks to Joe, pointing out that he is at war with himself; that it is ok to love both Heather and his job, but not ok to deal with it this way (by drinking). Lee offers Joe an alternative way to get his mind off Heather. He asks Joe to help him search for Scotty, but first they will go to a conference in Atlanta to come up with strategies for the search. Later, Joe returns to Kelly's and tells Rose that it is time that he took a long, hard look at himself and his future. He tells Rose that he is going to go and search for Scotty. Rose tells Joe that she will miss him and gives him a hug, telling him to stay warm. The Cassadines and their guests have dinner. When Noel says that women are just as interested in changing the world, Mikkos chauvinistically says that they lack the vision, much to Alex's annoyance. Mikkos goes on about his plans for the world but Alex is still skeptical. Tiffany fakes an illness and feigns passing out at the table. Corinne helps her away. Mikkos says that Tiffany doesn't know how to relax and continues to wax lyrical about his plan. Mikkos says that the temperature has now dropped to 47 degrees and the mercury is still falling. Later Corinne returns and reports that Tiffany is very sick, but prevents Victor from going to see her. Mikkos isn't too concerned and says that Tiffany should have an aspirin. Corinne insists that Tiffany is very sick, but Mikkos says that they will wait until morning before giving Tiffany more medicine. Mrs Whitaker makes things awkward for Rick and Lesley by noting how much in love they are. She insists that they stay in Luke and Laura's room, so Lesley is forced to tell her that they got divorced. After Mrs Whitaker goes off to make up their rooms, Rick and Lesley reminisce about their trip to Canada before heading out for a walk. Later Rick and Lesley head to the barn, meet Bessie the Cow, and play with the baby chicks. The two end up having their very own barn dance with imaginary music before Rick lifts her onto a hay bale. They compose themselves and Rick asks Lesley if there is a future for them. They agree that it will take some time; the two share a kiss before heading for dinner. More guards approach the camp so Robert throws a coconut in an attempt get them to go in another direction. He is successful. Luke is still worried that Tiffany won't be able to come back to them, but Robert says that he is sure she'll make it. Robert says that Luke and Laura helped him deal with O'Reilly's death and that he understands how Luke feels as he still wishes he could've taken the pain away for O'Reilly when she died. Laura wakes up and says she is hungry. For the moment, this is enough to cheer Luke up. He embraces her.
  2. Poor deluded Alex really thought it was all merely a get-rich-quick scheme involving the manufacture of diamonds; only to find herself embroiled in a plot to bring about a new world order via the threat of a new Ice Age. I'll miss her though. I never realised just how prominent Joe was a character until I started watching these old episodes. He literally got like two or three mentions in the ABC yearly recaps (which I think were sourced from the GH scrapbook) and yet there he is, day in and day out, chipping away at the Diana Taylor case through most of 1981. With Jeff gone, he's basically the leading man (outside of Luke's stories of course). That said, he's not really driving story himself, just chasing leads on what Heather got up to. I'm not up to there yet; but, If I'm not wrong, there was an attempt to create stories for the younger supporting players Bryan, Claudia, Amy etc in 1982. Unfortunately this coincided with the post-Laura rough patch, so once the Robert and Holly show got off the ground they went back to supporting.
  3. Yeah she does actually.
  4. August 21, 24 & 25 (Partial), 1981 Joe comes by GH to offer Bobbie a ride home upon her release; Burt jokes to Georgia that Joe won 'Mr Nice Guy'. The two discuss the case against Heather. Later, Joe meets with Noah and Bobbie (who is wearing a massive pair of glasses). Bobbie declines Joe's offer to give her a ride home as Noah will be taking her instead. Laura has finished making curtains for the hut, Luke jokes that she is turning into Mrs Whittaker. Laura hints to Luke that tonight will be the night. Robert returns and says that Tiffany hasn't shown up. Luke goes off somewhere, but not before kissing Laura, which disgusts Robert. Later Robert suggests that Laura come for a walk with him, she declines and then feels faint while hanging up the curtains. The Cassadine guests have another round of champagne, though Tiffany questions whether it is safe to drink out of the champagne fountain after the demonstration. Alex notices that the plant next to the Champagne fountain has died. This disturbs the other guests and Max queries whether Mikkos will be able to stop the freezing process from killing Human beings. Caluga interjects and says that they will be able to inspire more fear in their enemies. Later Tiffany convinces a guard to let her out of the compound. Joe heads off to meet with Sarah (who is on day release) at the park. Joe makes a paper boat and drops it in the park fountain where it starts sinking. Sarah freaks out (because her sister Edie drowned in a boat), but Joe calms her down and explains to her that she isn't responsible for Edie's death. Sarah hands over the gun to Joe and thanks him for her freedom before she leaves. Luke speaks to Robert and asks him to make himself scarce tonight since he and Laura want to... After Luke leaves to head back to camp, Tiffany arrives and finally tells him which rock is the entrance to the compound. Tiffany says that she is now convinced that the Cassadines are evil and agrees to help Robert. Meanwhile, Luke arrives back at the camp. Laura assures Luke that she is ready and doesn't have any hang-ups except for one: she doesn't like his stubble and tells him to shave with a shell. After Luke is shave, Laura makes Luke look away while she undresses to take a dip in the pond. Luke feels really tempted, but Robert and Tiffany arrive. Tiffany is shocked to see 'Thor' and 'Lucy'. Noah accompanies Bobbie home and tells her about how he helped out at the clinic while Rick and Lesley chased after leads on Luke and Laura. Bobbie changes into some nightclothes; Noah sweeps her into his arms, kisses her, and gently places her on the couch. He tells her not to watch TV or do any reading. Max and Noel relay their concerns to Mikkos; they say that they are not murderers and want Mikkos to stop the freezing process if the WSB doesn't acquiesce to their demands. Their meeting is interrupted by Kemo, who tells Mikkos that Tiffany has absconded. Meanwhile, Tiffany tells Luke, Laura and Robert how Mikkos froze the fountain. Laura notes that it was the same night that things froze on the island. Tiffany tells them a little about Mikkos' plans for weather control before they hear the guards come looking for her. Later, Robert, Laura and Luke have dinner before Robert departs to go on night watch. Alone, Luke and Laura get intimate but before they can make love, Laura suddenly gets a bad headache. Luke leaves her to sleep and goes to chat to Robert. Back in the hut, Laura starts tossing and turning. At Kelly's the following morning; Rose sees that Joe is in a bad mood but he knocks back her attempts to cheer him up. Joe apologises to Rose and just then, Heather comes down from upstairs. Meanwhile, Lesley gives a patient (who sorta looks like Laura) the good news that she will be released from the hospital. When the patient says that she is planning on moving out of home, Lesley tries to dissuade her and then gets a bit upset. Rick comforts Lesley. Back at Kelly's, Heather accuses Joe of avoiding her and won't leave Joe alone. This causes Joe to storm out of Kelly's just as Rick and Lesley arrive. Lesley talks to Slick while Rick and Rose try to calm Heather down. After Rose leaves the room, Rick tries to get Heather to open up with him, but she accuses him of being like Joe and kicks him out of her room. Downstairs, Rose and Lesley briefly discuss Heather and when Rick returns, Slick tells them that he will go off and find the man who fell into the harbor. Robert and Luke are concerned about Laura who appears to be ill. Laura wakes up feeling cold and Luke realises that she is burning up with fever. Robert decides to go and seek out Tiffany's help in getting medication. With Robert gone, Luke comforts Laura. Meanwhile, Tiffany is in a bad mood and demands that Victor speak to Mikkos about allowing her out again. Alex makes quips about the situation before the others arrive for a meeting. Max says that America should be the first to fall to the Cassadines; Mikkos agrees and says that he has made a decision. He takes the others into the control room. Everybody tries to guess which city will be the first target for the weather machine: New York, Los Angeles and Miami are among the guesses. However, Mikkos announces that he has decided that a more average city will be the target. He turns on a news report about a heatwave and Alex is horrified when she realises that the city in the news report is Port Charles. Mikkos pulls a lever to begin the freezing process. Alex tries to stop it but Tony restrains her; Mikkos says that it is already too late as the rockets have been launched Slick arrives with a man who fell into the harbor. Unfortunately, Slick has brought them the wrong person as he fell into harbor four months ago! Once again it is Mike who upstages Slick once again by saying that he has found the man who fell into the harbor on the day that the Titan left. Joe is with Lee when Lee receives a call from Burt. Lee makes a joke about asking Burt to do something about the (hot) weather. Joe doesn't want to take Burt's call and gets Lee to tell Burt that he isn't there. Joe decides that he isn't feeling well, so Lee gives him the day off. Meanwhile Heather attempts to phone Sarah from the Kelly's payphone. Sarah won't take her call. Two workers come in and tell Rose that the heatwave has suddenly ended. They order some hot soup to celebrate the end of the heatwave. Joe heads down to the docks, passing a fisherman who has called it quits for the day because of the cold weather. Joe starts having visions of Heather being locked up in a padded cell with a straitjacket on. He contemplates throwing the gun into the harbor but decides against it. A cop notices his distress and tells him to go inside as there is a cold wind coming in. Rick, Lesley and Mike arrive and comment on how the weather has changed. Joe just walks off, prompting Mike to ask Rick what is wrong with Joe. Later, Rick, Lesley and Mike meet with the man who fell into the harbor on the day that the Titan left. The man admits that he was paid by Luke and Robert to do so and that they most likely went onto the yacht. While the man did not see Laura, this is enough to confirm to Rick and Lesley that Laura went with them. Max and Mikkos watch news reports about the sudden end to the heatwave in Port Charles. Meteorologists are apparently mystified by the change as the high pressure ridge that caused the heatwave has not moved at all. Max wants Mikkos to warn people about the freezing process, but Mikkos says that they have plenty of time. Joe confronts Heather in her room and tells her that he went to see Sarah. Heather attempts to paint Sarah as living in a fantasy world and says that the gun doesn't exist. Heather is shocked when Joe shows her the gun. Robert returns to Luke and Laura. Robert is worried about jeopardizing the mission but Luke doesn't care, saying that he will get help from the guards if Laura doesn't get better. Later, while Robert is off waiting for Tiffany again, a delirious Laura wakes up and is insistent about washing her hair. Luke manages to stop her from jumping into the pond and embraces her. At the hospital, Bobbie waits for Noah while chatting to Bryan, Gail and Jesse. Bryan jokes that Bobbie looks like an undercover movie star with her huge glasses. Gail tells Bryan about the change in the weather, saying that the temperature has dropped from 98 to 55. Bryan invites Gail, Jesse and Bobbie to the disco but Jesse has to work. Gail is hesitant, but is eventually convinced to accept the invitation and decides to invite Monica. Bryan leaves with Zack and Stacy while Bobbie waits for Noah. Monica agrees to go to the disco with Gail and tells Edward that she is going out. Monica says that she will need her coat, the two briefly talk about the change in the weather. Monica says that the Disco is more enjoyable now that Susan Moore has left. Meanwhile, a tense Alice looks at an address book. She phones the Quartermaine mansion and speaks to Edward. She tells him that she will come by his house to drop something off for Alan (Most likely Susan's address). Later, Alan finds Edward starting a fire in the fireplace. The two discuss Lila's whereabouts (she's gone to Palm Beach). Alan changes the subject to Lesley Webber and the Ice Princess. Bobbie is still waiting for Noah when Steve and Audrey drop by. They also talk about Bobbie's glasses and her looking like a movie star. Steve and Audrey give Bobbie a brief update on Hutch before they leave. When Noah arrives he also makes a joke about Bobbie being a movie star. After Bobbie and Noah leave, Anne stops by the nurses station on her way out and talks to Jesse. Anne bemoans the fact that Joe hasn't been answering her calls and that everyone else has dinner plans. Jesse suggests that Anne go to the Disco, but Anne is too worried about Joe. Kathy, Bryan, Claudia, Zack and Stacy are all at the Disco. Corrigan assures them that the disco is only closing for a remodel. Noah and Bobbie arrive, followed soon after by Gail and Monica. Since Gail doesn't know that Monica has hired Corrigan to spy on Alan, Kathy pretends to introduce Corrigan to Monica as well as Gail. Later, Stacy attempts to flirt with Corrigan by telling him that he looks like Robert Redford. Corrigan knocks her back, so Bobbie allows Stacy to dance with Noah. Bobbie, Gail and Monica discuss the remodel of the disco with Corrigan; Monica says that she has had some remodeling experience so Corrigan suggests that she help him with the remodel. Corrigan asks Monica to dance. Heather comes to Joe's room and finally admits everything she did in the lead up and aftermath of Diana's murder (including the fire escape, getting a copy of Diana's keys from Alice, stealing Lesley's gun, posing as Shelly Vernon several times, finding Jeff and Diana in bed together, the capes, the car accident etc etc). However, she insists that she doesn't remember killing Diana and refuses to admit to something that she didn't do. Heather embraces Joe and they fall onto the couch. Heather begs Joe to make love to her; when Heather won't let Joe go, he slaps her, calls her a liar and forces her out of the room. Joe phones Burt and says that he has just wound up the Diana Taylor case. Joe then leaves his room and Heather attempts to hold onto his leg but he breaks free and walks away. Heather begins to follow him.
  5. Currently watching Bella and Nikau supposedly out in the middle of nowhere when it's sooo obvious they're in the Blue Mountains near Katoomba lol; I'm pretty sure I even saw the Three Sisters in the background.
  6. I'd say General Hospital. The show had quite a lot of it's guts ripped out during the Guza years and is currently in a bit of a rut, which would theoretically make it ripe for a Kirkwood style revamp. It's also had some very successful transformations in the past. The cast is large and there is a precedent at GH for having both OTT stories and family/social drama. I agree and I also think that Kirkwood would probably struggle with the veteran supercouples at DAYS. I think you are right again. In addition, I would also say that ideally Y&R should go to an updated version of the Classic Bell style which might not suit Kirkwood, while I think the smaller cast and scope of B&B would be too limiting. I think the last person from outside who tried was Mal Young at Y&R and that wasn't too successful. That said, I think if he'd gone to GH he would have had more luck.
  7. Whats the clip number for the Victor/Jill 1985 scene?
  8. Actually, that thought did cross my mind too lol
  9. As Bill has mentioned, GL actually did move to Hollywood from 1947 until 1949. I've read that they eloped, but I think you also could be right that they didn't marry; that 'elope' might mean in the sense that they sort of ran off together. Mary apparently later persuaded Ross to return to Selby Flats to testify at Meta's trial. Yes the Bauers had been around for about a year when the show moved to New York and they were all recast except for Bill it seems. However I could be wrong, but I don't think Bert was introduced until around the time of the move. The original actress wasn't replaced by Charita Bauer until the following year.
  10. Well it was really only New Wave that Georgia objected to (probably should have made that clearer in my summary) so Georgia may have had no problem with the Campus Honky-tonk lol.
  11. August 19 & 20, 1981 Tiffany, Alex and Corinne plan to go on another sunbathing expedition, this time joined by Noel. Tiffany persuades Mikkos to give her permission to separate from the rest of the group (and Kemo's watchful eye) for a while by claiming that she needs to sunbathe topless. When Tiffany is alone, she meets with Robert. Tiffany tells him about that they are staying underground and that it is hidden by a rock and wonders if Robert is as wacko as the people down there. The meeting is cut short as Alex has decided that she doesn't want to get burned. Back at the compound, Tiffany considers telling Victor about her meeting with Robert, but he is more interested in making love. Sarah denies helping Heather with her many escapes, but Joe is persistent and manages to get her to confess to helping Heather. Sarah still won't give up the location of the gun which is hidden behind a grate in the wall of her room. Meanwhile, Heather is busy looking for Joe. Heather visits a recuperating Bobbie at GH and Bobbie suggests that Joe may have gone to his office. Heather heads to Lee and Joe's office where the secretary tells her that Joe has gone to Forest Hills. Later, Joe has dinner with the Hardys, Anne and Jeremy. Heather turns up, claiming that she needs to talk to Steve about her marriage to Jeff. Joe wants to make a quick exit but Steve and Audrey persuade Joe to take Heather home, much to his annoyance. Noah checks Bobbie's bandages and Bobbie notes that her sight is slowly starting to return. Later, they have dinner in Bobbie's hospital room, followed by moon gazing. Bobbie says that she will never take her sight for granted again. Luke and Laura continue building the hut and end up horsing around, and then relaxing in the pond. When Robert returns, Laura pulls him into the water. Robert tells them about his meeting with Tiffany. Later Laura fails to return to camp. The alarm goes off and Luke wants to go an find Laura, but Robert stops him. Fortunately Laura returns and reports that there are guards everywhere. The trio run into the jungle to hide. It turns out that it was Nigel who set off the alarm since he went for a moonlit stroll without permission. Luke, Laura and Robert overhear the guards tell Nigel that the alarms are triggered in a 100 foot perimeter around the entrance to the underground compound. At the Lobby Nurses station, Steve, Audrey and Georgia (with Stacy in the background) mention how hot it is outside. Dan brings Steve a newspaper report about Hutch and the bombing at the hospital. They wonder why Burt hasn't yet arranged Hutch's transfer. A large bouquet of flowers arrives for Bobbie. Stacy reads the card and is pleased that they're not from Noah. Later, Monica spies Corrigan flirting with Stacy. Stacy asks Corrigan if it is true that the Disco is going to close, Stacy says that Disco is on it's way out anyway and wonders if it will be replaced by a Country and Western club or New Wave. "Heaven forbid!" Georgia interjects. Corrigan wonders what the new Italian place, Dinos is like and Stacy says that she heard that it is great. He heads off to a meeting with Alan. In the background, Monica doesn't look too happy (Jealous much?). At the waterfront clinic, Noah offers his services to Rick as a volunteer. Rick is somewhat skeptical. Lesley arrives and makes another comment about the hot weather. Noah offers to watch over the clinic while they go for their meeting with the Harbormaster. The Harbormaster is able to tell them that someone resembling Luke did meet with him on the day the yacht left. Later, Lesley and Rick have returned to the clinic. Noah and Lesley discuss the hot weather again. Slick arrives and tells Rick and Lesley that he has set up a meeting with the guy who took the luggage onto the yacht. At Kelly's Heather drops a pile of dishes when Martha mentions that Joe muttered something about a Sarah. Rose confronts Heather about her behaviour, but an agitated Heather claims that Joe is manipulating her (Until this scene I never realised how tall Robin Mattson is compared to Loanne Bishop, so Heather looks quite intimidating but Rose manages to stand her ground). Mike's grandmother arrives and tells Rose that Mike will no longer be allowed to visit Hutch as she has read the newspaper article about the bombing. Later, with Rose at the hospital; Heather walks out on her shift despite Martha's protests. Heather heads to Forest Hills and practically barges into Sarah's room before Sarah can say that she doesn't want to see her. Heather tries to manipulate Sarah, but Sarah doesn't fall for her lies. Heather threatens Sarah instead, saying that Sarah is an accomplice. Heather begins searching the room for the gun when Sarah won;t tell her where it is. Bobbie gets her eyes checked again and the doctor tells her that her eyes will be as good as new. Ruby, Bryan and Audrey visit Bobbie. Audrey brings Bobbie a giant 'get well' card. Hutch is disappointed when Rose tells him that Mike has been banned from visiting him and also notes that Luke and Laura are no longer around either. Later, Steve, Dan and Lee deliver the news that his parole has been denied. Rose attempts to comfort Hutch.
  12. @titan1978 I've sent you a DM 🙂
  13. August 14, 17 & 18 1981 Dan and Jessie tell Steve that they regret missing the lecture about Carbonic snow. Lee and Edward arrive for the hospital board meeting; Lee learns from Steve that the rest of the board are still adamant about having Hutch removed from the hospital. Lee promises to try and put forward Hutch's side. Rick and Lesley arrive home. They notice that Alice is behaving strangely. They update Bobbie by telephone about their various meetings in Washington. Later, Rick confronts Alice about her strange behaviour. Alice admits that she is upset about Heather and that she doesn't trust her own daughter. Bobbie arrives at the Webber house in person. Rick and Lesley tell her about the formula in the base of the Ice Princess statue and confirm Bobbie's suspicions that Robert is a secret agent. To Robert's surprise, Tiffany tells Robert not to make a sound and runs off back to Kemo. Later, Robert returns to the waterfall and tells Luke and Laura about his encounter with Tiffany, that she was pleased to see him and that she didn't alert Kemo to his presence. The trio wonder if this is a sign of disagreement with the Cassadines. Audrey tells Alan that the board members are still up in arms about Hutch. Just then, Jessie receives a call from Lesley, who asks to speak to Alan. Lesley asks to meet with Alan concerning her trip to Washington. After the call, Alan agrees to walk Audrey to the meeting. While Jessie is on the phone, a suspiciously behaving orderly gets into the lift. Ruby comes to clean Hutch's room. Ruby and Hutch talk about Luke and Laura's disappearance. Ruby thanks Hutch for telling Bobbie that Robert was a secret agent. The suspect orderly momentarily comes into the room to offer Hutch some water. Hutch declines it. After he is gone, Hutch reassures Ruby that everything is going to be fine. Tiffany returns to the beach in a much better mood, claiming that she saw a monkey. Kemo announces that time's up, so Corinne and Alex pack up. Tiffany pauses for a moment, and the other two women tease her. Robert is determined to speak to Tiffany again and gets Luke to shimmy up a tree to spy on the beach. The beach is deserted. Robert later realises that the alarm system was turned off when the women came above ground. Meanwhile, the yacht guests have champagne while waiting for Mikkos. Mikkos arrives and begins a demonstration. Mikkos drops a capsule of Carbonic snow into the champagne fountain. The room temperature starts to drop. Nigel attempts to give a long-winded explanation of the process, but Alex complains. Mikkos tells the guests that they know have the ability to freeze all living entities. To prove his point, he picks up a shard of ice from the fountain. Luke, Laura and Robert start making a hut and continue to discuss Tiffany. Robert suggests that Tiffany is their way to get to the other guests. Laura starts to notice a chill, Robert notices it too, so the three gather around the fire. Later, the trio think that a storm is coming in, so set about putting a roof on their hut. Stacy hassles Bobbie about her trip to New York with Noah. Bobbie gives her short shrift and Bryan congratulates her for standing up for herself. Steve, Dan and Lee arrive fresh from the board meeting. Lee tells Bryan that Hutch will have to leave the hospital. The suspect orderly overhears this and makes his way down a corridor, passing Ruby on the way. Ruby looks at him suspiciously for a moment but heads to see Bobbie about Luke. Later, Lee gives Hutch the bad news. The suspect orderly comes with a wheelchair to pick Hutch up for therapy. Later, the orderly returns to Hutch's empty room and plants a bomb (complete with an analogue clock face timer!) under his bed. Lesley is frustrated and tells Rick that she has decided to research the Cassadines. Lesley says that she'll also ask Alan about them; Alan won't lie to her as she and Alan have a special bond (since Rick and Monica cheated on them both). The mood turns awkward for a moment but Rick is understanding of Lesley's feelings. Mikkos outlines his plan to rule the world, free of war, crime and sickness etc. Alex is stunned and says that Mikkos is insane. Mikkos tells Alex that he will bring the world out of an age of darkness. Max, Caluga and Victor think the plan is great, but Alex and Tiffany (who is surprised to agree with Alex for once) think the plan is insane. Corinne also thinks it is a little farfetched. Alex doesn't believe the plan will work but Mikkos shows them the fountain which has totally frozen over. Meanwhile as Luke, Laura and Robert attempt to put their hut together, they start to notice that the ground is freezing beneath them. The suspect orderly returns Hutch to his room. Meanwhile Bobbie tells Ruby that she blames Alex for the whole caper and that it is much worse than the caper with Hutch and Frank Smith. Gail overhears them talking about Hutch and Ruby tells Gail that Hutch is depressed. After Ruby leaves, Gail notes that Hutch didn't go to therapy, but Bobbie corrects her, saying that an orderly took him to therapy. Gail is alarmed, since no orderly was assigned to Hutch and rushes to his room, only to find Hutch safe and sound. The two agree that the situation with the orderly needs to be investigated. Gail asks Hutch if he would like to take a walk with her. Hutch declines, saying that Steve wouldn't like him walking around the hospital. Gail leaves, promising to find out more about the orderly. Alex demands that Mikkos show her how to reverse the freezing process. Mikkos beckons the guests to join him in the forbidden room, showing them the control room and the 'dust room' where his freezing experiments take place. He explains to Alex and the others that his plan is to try and force cities around the globe to capitulate to him by starting the freezing them and reversing the process when they comply. After the others leave the room, Tiffany hangs back and stares at the dust room for a moment. Victor comes, shuts the door to the dust room and leads Tiffany out of the room. Meanwhile, Luke, Laura and Robert attempt to keep warm. Luke and Laura wonder if Tiffany told the others about their presence and speculate that they could be attempting to freeze them. Later, with Robert off scouting the island, Luke and Laura attempt to keep warm. Laura notes that Hutch told her that Luke would take care of her and starts to wonder where Hutch is now... Hutch is too paranoid to eat his dinner, suspecting that it may have been poisoned. Gail rushes in again and is relieved to find that Hutch hasn't eaten as it was the fake orderly who sent him the food. Gail finally persuades Hutch to go with her to the nurses' station (accompanied by the police guard) where Audrey, Bobbie and Ruby are. Bobbie reports that there are no records of the orderly, while Audrey reports that no orderly has been hired in over 7 months. Ruby brings Hutch a fresh supper. As Gail and Audrey direct Hutch to a place where he can sit down, Bobbie is suddenly knocked over by a blast that hits the nurses station. Gail directs the Police guard to take care of Hutch while she, Audrey and another nurse attend to Audrey. Gail phones Georgia to tell them about the explosion and then directs Zack and Stacy to check on the other wards. Ruby arrives and tries to reassure Bobbie as she is taken from the 7th floor down to Emergency. Bobbie says that she can't see Ruby. Later, Audrey explains that there has been an explosion in Hutch's room. Noah arrives and learns that Gail is treating a victim of the explosion. He rushes off before learning that it is Bobbie and is shocked when he finds Ruby and Gail with Bobbie. Luke and Laura continue to snuggle up but Robert returns and tells them that their camp is the coldest place on the island. Luke later notices that the ground is starting to warm up again. Meanwhile, Tiffany tells Victor that Mikkos is mad. Victor tries to convince her that Mikkos' plan is for the best, but Tiffany calls Victor a brainwashed slave like fool and compares Mikkos to other madmen who tried to stuff their utopias down people's throats. Victor tells Tiffany that Mikkos only wants to show his force, not use it. He tells Tiffany that she'll come around eventually. Victor asks Tiffany what she was about to tell him earlier; Tiffany has a flashback of her encounter with Robert and says that it was nothing at all. Audrey comforts Ruby, while Dan explains that no one else was hurt and the other patients have been evacuated. Ruby blames herself because she saw the fake orderly earlier and didn't say anything but Gail reassures her. Steve gives Ruby an update on Bobbie's condition. Meanwhile Noah is by Bobbie's side and has a flashback of a conversation they had in New York. Ruby arrives just as Bobbie wakes up and says that she wants Luke. Meanwhile Luke is on sentry duty. Laura sees him about to fall asleep and offers to take over. Luke declines, but Laura stays with him, remarking that their current situation is a lot like when they were at the Whittaker's farm. Laura and Luke start talking about they house (their hut) they have built together, but Robert interrupts and reminds them that it's his house too - "Mother, Father, and your adopted child", he says. Laura suggests building Robert a guesthouse. The trio then note that the ground is continuing to warm. Lee tells the police commissioner about the explosion and the commissioner is certain that it was meant as a hit on Hutch. Claudia is with Mike at the clinic as he waits for his grandmother's appointment with Lesley to finish. Rick arrives and asks Mike's grandmother if Rose can take Mike to see Hutch at the hospital. Mike's grandmother gives the ok, so Mike stays behind with Rick and Lesley. Rick and Lesley mention to Mike that they are trying to find out information about the big yacht (The Titan) that was once in the harbour. Mike points out that they should ask the Harbormaster and adds that if he doesn't know then someone else on the docks will as someone nearly drowned on the day that the yacht left. Rose arrives to pick up Mike, before Mike leaves he offers to find out more information for them when he returns from the hospital. Rick says that Mike appears to have better connections than the WSB. Rose and Mike visit Hutch at the hospital. Hutch blames himself for the explosion but Mike is able to cheer him up. Hutch tells Rose that he's planning to ask to be moved out. Hutch tells Mike about the bomb and explains that he has hurt a lot of people. Hutch tells Rose and Mike that he doesn't have much to live for but Rose says that they care of him. Lee, Steve and Dan arrive and tell Hutch that he'll have to stay at the hospital while his transfer is arranged. Later, Hutch apologises to Ruby for the explosion, but Ruby says that she has also been blaming herself. Ruby says that she's glad that Luke isn't here to see what's happened to Bobbie, but adds that she misses him and wonders where he is. Just then, Audrey brings Ruby and Hutch the good news that Bobbie's sight will return. Slick visits the clinic and Rick and Lesley tell him about Mike's ideas of contacting the Harbormaster and finding the guy who almost drowned. Rick, Lesley and Claudia are somewhat amused when Slick falsely claims to have had the same idea. Slick heads off to check those leads out for Rick and Lesley, while Lesley heads off to see Alan. Lesley meets Alan at Dinos, the Italian restaurant. Lesley tells Alan about how Luke, Laura and Alex have gotten mixed up in something. Alan is unable to help, so Lesley pleads with Alan to talk to Edward, but much to Lesley's frustration Alan is unable to help. Lesley returns to the clinic and tells Rick that she got nowhere with Alan, adding that the Quartermaines are one of those families who fight in public but when an outsider approaches they band together like glue. She says that Alan was like his father. Joe visits City Hall and gets a positive ID that Heather was the woman who posed as Shelly Vernon in order to pick up an award. Meanwhile Sarah writes "I ♥️ Joe" (with an actual heart shape but not colored in) over and over again and is excited that Joe is coming to see her. Joe later arrives at Forest Hills. After questioning the head nurse there, Joe begins to wonder if Heather escaped via the fire escape but realises that someone would have had to have let her back in. Joe then talks to the laundry lady about the missing nurses' uniform. The laundry lady says that it was returned and suggests that one of the patients wanted to play nurse for a few days. Joe then talks to the guard who mans the gates. He says that Shelley Vernon used to come and go several times during her shifts but the head nurse disputes this, saying that Shelly never left her shifts. Joe suggests that an impostor was the one using Shelly's car. The guard agrees that an impostor could have used the fire escape. Joe then visits Sarah and realises that she has a clear view of the parking lot from her room. He says that they need to talk...
  14. All going to plan, Nicole and Maeve will become the first same-sex couple on Shortland Street to marry onscreen. *Maia and Jay had a civil union, while Jack and Matiu's wedding was offscreen long after they had left and only mentioned by the characters.
  15. Yes I believe that's correct I believe and to add (based on soapcentral): Around the time that Ray and Charlotte were married, Ray's son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter and ex-wife all seem to have been written out. Charlotte became a radio star. Ted White was the advertising exec at the radio station she worked at. Meta/Jan lived in the same apartment complex as Ray and Charlotte. Meta had a roommate Mary Leland who was a doctor; when Meta fell pregnant to Ted, Mary helped arrange Ray and Charlotte's adoption of Chuckie, though Ray and Charlotte didn't know it was Meta's child at first. In a soap coincidence, Mama Bauer was one of Mary's patients. Meta had run away from home years earlier. Meta finally went back to her family on her parent's 25th anniversary and told them everything; Meta also told Ted in the hopes that he would marry her. When Ted refused, both Meta and Ted launched custody suits against the Brandons. Charlotte eventually came to believe that Chuckie was better off with his natural mother, so Meta won the custody case. Mama Bauer lived long enough to see her son Bill marry Bert. Mama passed away while Bert and Bill were on their honeymoon. Ted formed a plan to marry Meta and try to prove that she was an unfit mother. Despite the fact that Meta was involved with Ross Boling (whom her sister, Trudy also liked), she married Ted after family pressure; the marriage was a disaster and Meta and Ted separated. Ross ended up dating (and eventually eloping with) Mary, his colleague from Cedars. Ray represented Meta in another custody battle, and Meta won primary custody of Chuckie. Ted had Chuckie on the weekends. Ted forced Chuckie (Now SORASed to kindergarten age) to take boxing lessons. Chuckie had an accident and died. Meta was enraged and shot Ted... Ray represented Meta in the trial and helped get her acquitted. Ray and Charlotte ended up fostering (and later adopting) two orphaned kids before being written out. I got a bit carried away there, but I think that's basically how the show transitioned from the Brandons to the Bauers.
  16. The Bollywood dance from Boyd and Zara's recent wedding (filmed sometime during the two month period between June and August when the country was only under Level 1 restrictions).
  17. @slick jones Yes, I think you're right, thanks! I thought she was new since I only recently noticed her and also from something Rose said to Gail but after I saw your post I went back and listened to that particular scene a bit more carefully. Rose actually tells Gail that now she has both Heather and Martha at the diner she has more free time; the extra staff member giving Rose more free time would actually be Heather, with Martha having been there longer.
  18. Friday, October 5, 1979 according to both Curlyqgrl and Luke and Laura unrevised.
  19. August 12 & 13, 1981 Heather attempts to reconcile with Joe, but he remains frosty towards her. A customer attempts to ask Heather out; Joe intervenes when the man grabs Heather and kicks him out of Kelly's. Joe leaves and the other waitress (I've never caught her name, but I believe Rose hired her so that she'd have more free time and thus be able to volunteer at GH) remarks that Joe is one guy that you want to have on your side. Heather agrees and the other waitress lets Heather leave Kelly's for a while, provided that she is back before the lunch rush. Steve and Audrey show Anne and Georgia a letter that they have received from Tommy at summer camp. It seems that he has met a girl named Lana and she is a perfect 10 with exclamation marks. Dan comes in complaining about Hutch still being present at GH and that he'll have to explain that to the board. Rick and Lesley meet with Ballantine in Washington. Ballantine continues to deny that Luke and Laura are involved in the caper with the Cassadines. Things get heated and Rick accuses Ballantine of lying. Rick and Lesley threaten to go to the papers about the WSB, so Ballantine is forced to tell them everything, including the purpose of the WSB, everything that the WSB knows about the Ice Princess and that noone at the docks will cooperate with the WSB investigation. Later, Rick tells Lesley that they could question the inhabitants of the docks themselves. The two decide to go to dinner in Georgetown and discuss visiting the Lincoln Memorial. Alice is on the phone to Lesley and Amy wants to know the news about Laura. Amy gets sulky when Alice tells her that there is no news and leaves for GH. Heather turns up to see Alice and Heather asks if Jeff and Anne are still planning to get married. Heather demands to know where Jeff is and says that she needs him to protect her as Joe and Burt are trying to frame her for Diana's murder. Heather insists that she didn't do it and begs her mother to help her; Alice gets upset. Heather attempts to look for Jeff's details in Alice's address book but Alice doesn't have them. After Heather leaves, Alice pours herself a drink, gulps it down and says "What have I done". Burt is happy because another witness, Harry Greg who could identify Heather has just arrived in town. Joe and Burt go over to Elizabeth Turner's house where they meet Harry. I'm sure Harry has been on before but I've only just realised HARRY IS MIGUEL FROM Y&R!!! Harry positively identifies Heather as the woman who posed as Shelley Vernon. Later Heather visits Joe and finds Joe holding a Polaroid of her in the line-up. The two argue and Heather taunts Joe about him falling in love with her. After Heather leaves, Joe contacts Forest Hills to request a visit with Sarah. Monica gives a lecture to an audience including Steve, Audrey, Bryan, Georgia and Amy. Monica reveals that her convention in Houston was about the medical uses of carbonic snow. Monica says that carbonic snow could be useful in plastic surgery and skin grafts. After the lecture, Amy asks Audrey if she can be reassigned from Hutch's case, explaining that she can't treat the man who once tried to kill her sister. Robert sets off by himself on a mission to determine the extent of the island's radar detection. Meanwhile, Mikkos insists that Kemo accompany the women on their trip outside to the beach. Later, Mikkos is furious when Max attempts to bring Noel to a meeting and Noel is forced to leave the meeting. Max protests, saying that he and Noel operate as a team; Mikkos tells him that that will not be the case anymore. Mikkos then lays out some of his plans for world domination and adds that Nigel (who is not yet present at the meeting) doesn't know the true purpose of their plans. Mikkos snaps at Max when he makes a snide remark. Nigel then arrives for the meeting. Nigel gives the men an update on the diamond making factory, Mikkos announces that this means that they now have the power to make carbonic snow. Mikkos raises a toast to "Our glorious new world". Kemo accompanies Alex, Corinne and Tiffany outside. Meanwhile Laura attempts to give Luke a shave with a shell. They are unaware that Kemo and the women are nearby wandering around the island on their way to the beach. After the shave is done, Luke and Laura end up fooling around in the pool under the waterfall. Laura changes into a sarong she made from some curtains they found on the yacht. The two end up making out, though Luke is reluctant to take things further as he is worried that they will be interrupted by either Robert or the guards. Meanwhile on the beach, Tiffany and Alex argue and insult each other about Tony and Victor. Alex calls Tiffany a tramp; Tiffany slaps her, Alex slaps her right back as Corinne and Kemo watch on and prepare to intervene. Tiffany runs off and Kemo goes to look for her. Luke and Laura's make out session is disrupted when they hear Kemo calling out for Tiffany. The couple quickly pack up their camp and hide from Kemo. At the same time, Tiffany continues running through the jungle. She encounters Robert who just stares at her...
  20. August 7, 10 & 11 Luke, Laura and Robert learn that Victor is planning to search the crew, so plan to swim to the island. They watch as the guests head to the island via boat and note that the island does not seem to have any infrastructure. Luke, Laura and Robert swim to the island; when Robert goes off by himself to explore the island, Luke and Laura are frightened by the birds. Meanwhile, the Titan guests are taken to the vast Cassadine bunker, which lies underground where they are greeted by Albert. Tony is also there and tells Victor that Alex still thinks that the plan is to manufacture diamonds. Noah takes Bobbie to his Uncle Martin's penthouse. She is amazed by the view from the terrace. The butler informs her that the maid has drawn a bath for her. After her bath, a towel clad Bobbie chats with the maid. Noah visits Bobbie. Noah tells Bobbie that he will be sleeping in the adjoining room and invites her to sleep with him. Bobbie declines, saying that she isn't ready. Monica, having returned from Houston, thanks Gail for picking her up at the airport. Monica informs Gail that Susan is pregnant with Alan's child. Alan walks in and insists that Gail stay for dinner. After dinner, Monica tells Gail that Alan has changed since she left, he's no longer morose. Kathy arrives, and Gail leaves. Kathy tells Monica to call Corrigan. Corrigan tells Monica that Alan has hired a PI of his own to find Susan so all they have to do is Noah, Bobbie and Martin have dinner on the penthouse terrace. Bobbie brings up the subject of Luke, which leads to Martin asking questions about her family, learning that Bobbie did not 'debut' (as a debutante) and was raised by her aunt Ruby and starts to talk about one of Noah's exes. Bobbie manages to change the subject back to Luke and Martin promises to contact the WSB. Later, Noah tries his luck with Bobbie again but she is still not ready. Luke, Laura and Robert have dinner on the island. Later, Luke and Laura snuggle and Laura invites Luke to make love to her but Luke is reluctant as they might be disturbed. Robert interrupts and tells them that he's detected a signal coming from the island. Later Luke has to go on sentry duty, while Laura and Robert sleep. A party is held in the underground bunker and Mikkos finally introduces himself. Tiffany wants to take a walk on the beach with Victor but Alex snidely tells her that she doesn't know the rules. When Tiffany asks Mikkos if she can go above, Mikkos tells her that no one goes up to the top. At GH, Jesse thanks Dan for taking her to a concert the previous night. Rick and Lesley arrive and Dan tells them that they missed a great concert. Rick and Lesley are still worried about Laura. Rose arrives and tells Jesse that is she concerned about Rick. Lesley meets with Alan and notices his good mood. Lesley asks Alan to take over the running of the clinic while she and Rick go to Washington. Alan hesitates, saying he has to go to New York, but then changes his mind. Tiffany and Victor argue about Mikkos. She is furious about being locked down. Victor snaps when Tiffany describes Victor as Mikkos' 'yes man' but Tiffany stands firm and tells Victor that she'll be going up to the beach if she has to blow up the entire place to do it. At breakfast Tiffany is still mad. Noel and Max talk about how great the bunker is, but Tiffany says they are prisoners. After Tiffany storms out, Noel and Max reveal to Victor that they 'know everything' but Mikkos doesn't know that they know. Victor warns them that they don't know his brother very well. Laura and Robert are concerned when they find Luke is missing. However, before long Luke is back with food. Luke tells Laura and Robert that the Titan has sailed away. Later, Robert walks in on Luke and Laura fooling around again. After Luke notes the irony of them ending up in a tropical sweat box while chasing after something called the Ice Princess, Robert gives Luke and Laura more information about the formula, sying that it can be used to create some kind of energy. Later Robert and Luke are trying to explain Laura how to use the explosives when they realise some guards are drawing near. The trio quickly pack up their camp and run away from the guards. They end up near the entrance to the bunker and Robert notes a high radioactivity count with his Geiger counter, indicating that something is being protected by an alarm. The trio later set up camp by a waterfall. Amy takes Hutch's temperature and is still not happy to be treating him. Joe visits Hutch, followed soon after by Rose who returns Hutch's watch. Joe notes that it's nice that Rose and Hutch are talking now. Rose and Hutch talk privately and Rose offers to accompany Hutch to therapy as Mike won't be there today. Later, Rose and Hutch talk and Rose admits that she wanted to see him. Bryan and Gail are having lunch in the cafeteria when Lesley and Lee arrive. Bryan departs, and Lee gives Lesley lots of contact numbers. Steve and Rick arrive. Steve has agreed to cover for Rick at GH. Then Jesse tells Rick and Lesley that Bobbie has some good news for them. Later, Bobbie arrives and tells Rick and Lesley that Martin Drake has agreed to make inquiries about Laura. Mikkos informs Tony and Victor that Nigel has the plant running at full capacity. Victor tells Mikkos that Max has told his wife everything and Tony says that he doesn't trust Max. The three brothers argue, but Mikkos says that he still trusts Max and that one of the crewman must have stolen the formula. Victor appeals to Mikkos to let the women outside, Mikkos isn't pleased. Tiffany later pleads her case to Mikkos with Corinne and Alex present. Mikkos agrees to relax the restrictions but not until he's certain that they weren't followed to the island. Later Alex plays chess with Victor and starts asking him lots of questions. Alex admits that she's starting to lose respect for Tony as she doesn't like being kept in the dark. Alex threatens to bring down the house of Cassadine, but Mikkos arrives and menacingly warns her not to threaten the house of Cassadine again. Meanwhile, Robert tells Luke and Laura an anecdote of some caper with Alex. Luke and Robert end up fighting over whether Robert snores. Soon afterwards, Robert finally works out that the Cassadine base is underground.
  21. Likely 1977. Genie didn't start airing until February 77.
  22. I really like the attention to minor details (Such as how the trio launder their clothes and get food) that I think today would be glossed over. And the show certainly took the opportunity to have fun with them. I've also enjoyed Rick and Lesley going around town trying to piece together the mystery of Laura's latest disappearance while reconnecting as a couple.
  23. Early August 1981 Victor and Max play chess. Victor wins. Tiffany, Corinne and Max’s wife Noel tease Nigel after he complains about his sunburn. Later, Laura is sent up to Tiffany’s room as a maid to search for Victor’s copy of the formula. Laura, using her old moniker ‘Lucy’ searches the room while Tiffany applies her make up. Tiffany is in a good mood because Alex is gone and ends up trash talking Alex to Laura. Laura agrees with her sentiments. Tiffany warms to Laura right away and admits that her actress personality is basically an act. After Tiffany departs, Laura continues to search but does not find the formula. Instead, Laura finds Victor’s secret hiding place. Meanwhile Robert creates a listening device for Luke. Slick arranges for Rick and Lesley to meet Emma (though in the end Rick is unable to make it because the clinic is too busy). Lesley asks Emma about the Ice Princess and Emma explains that she sold it to Alex. Slick tells Emma that it was Charlie, not Luke, who stole the statue from the auction. This makes Emma willing to set up a meeting between Charlie and Lesley. Later, Slick, Rick and Lesley meet with Emma and Charlie at the bucket of blood. Charlie denies knowing anything. Rick intervenes when Charlie tries to drag Emma away and gets punched by Charlie for his trouble, leaving a shiner 🥴 that several characters will comment on over the course of the next few episodes. At Kelly’s, Joe denies trying to avoid Heather after the other night. Rose interrupts their conversation and asks about Hutch. Meanwhile, Hutch is being massaged by Nurse Stacy. He gives her a warning when she becomes too flirtatious with him. Joe arrives followed soon after by Amy. Amy invites Stacy to the disco. Hutch asks Amy about Laura and Amy says that Laura can take care of herself. Stacy and Amy leave. Joe tells Hutch that the parole board is dragging its feet about his case. Joe then meets with Audrey in the cafeteria; Audrey is upset after receiving a package addressed to Diana Taylor (the nurses’ uniforms). When Joe returns to Kelly’s, he ends up in an argument with Heather. Luke is planting the listening device in the radio room when Victor walks in. Victor is suspicious of ‘Thor’ (Luke’s name when posing as a steward) and questions him about his background. Max arrives and Luke subtly plant seeds of doubt in Victor’s mind about Max. Luke later tells Robert and Laura that Victor has the formula in his wallet. Victor later tells Tiffany that he suspects ‘Thor’ may be working for Max. Victor notices that his hiding place has been disturbed but Tiffany says that only the maid has been in the room. Victor wants to fool around but Tiffany prefers to read her book. Robert, Luke and Laura go topside. Robert breaks into Tiffany and Victor’s room and attempts to get into Victor’s secret hiding place. However, a radio alarm suddenly blares, waking Victor and Tiffany up (turns out it was set for 11pm not am). Robert is forced to hide while Victor and Tiffany decide to make love. Once they are asleep again, Robert searches their room for the formula since he didn’t find it in the hiding place. Outside, Max is bemused to see Luke and Laura kissing and tells them to continue doing what they were doing. Robert eventually leaves without the formula, waking Victor and Tiffany up. Victor is convinced Max broke into their room. It seems Monica’s PI, Larry Corrigan was successful in his bid to fill in for Susan as manager of the disco. He uses his new position to continue to spy on Alan. The next day, Luke and Laura spend some time on the deck making out while the rest of the boat is asleep. Later Laura visits Tiffany again. Tiffany tells Laura that the Titan will arrive at its destination the day after tomorrow and that there is going to be a broadcast of the Royal wedding (Charles and Diana) on the yacht. In the salon, Victor is explaining what will happen when the Titan arrives at the island to Max and Gen but notices that Luke aka ‘Thor’ is there and orders him to leave (as Victor is convinced that ‘Thor’ is working for Max). The incident fuels Victor’s distrust of Max. Later, Luke searches the room for the formula and spots one of the radio guards sneaking drinks. This gives Luke an idea to spike his drink to get into the radio room. Laura returns to Tiffany’s room while Victor is there and listens as Victor tells Tiffany about his suspicions of Max. Laura returns to Luke and Robert with a suitcase full of food. The three have dinner. They are forced to hide when a crewman and a maid come looking for some luggage and are bemused when the crewman attempts to seduce the maid. Ruby tells Jesse that she is worried about Bobbie. Zach invites Bobbie to the Disco and Ruby warns her that she will lose Noah if she doesn’t stop playing silly games. Stacy excitedly informs Bobbie and Jesse that Noah has invited her for dinner. Mike and Hutch spend time together during a hydrotherapy session. Gail shows Rose around on her first day as a volunteer and Rose learns that she will be helping Hutch. Rose reminds Mike that Hutch is a criminal. Now that the Baldwins and the Webbers have reconciled, the four have dinner. Lee offers to help Rick and Lesley find out more about what is going on with Luke and Laura. Lee brings congressman Sterner to meet with Rick and Lesley. After hearing Rick and Lesley’s story, the congressman tells them that he will get in touch with Washington. Later, Congressman Sterner brings a man named Ted Ballantine to meet with them. Ballantine tells the Webbers that Laura is not officially involved in anything but requests more time to figure out what is going on. Luke drugs a drink and the radio room guard drinks it and passes out as he planned. Robert attempts to contact the WSB via the radio. However, they are interrupted by Victor and are forced to leave. Victor finds absinthe and assumes it was Max who broke into the radio room as Luke and Robert planned. Rick and Lesley are frustrated by the stonewalling they faced from the WSB and look to Hutch for answers since Robert visited him when Luke went missing. Hutch tells them that Robert Scorpio is for real and that it seems that the WSB is involved in keeping world peace. Rick and Lesley also talk to Georgia who them Robert’s ID number as she heard it the night that O’Reilly died. Georgia also remembers that O’Reilly made Robert promise to get on the boat. Rick and Lesley later confront Congressman Sterner about the WSB and threaten to expose the organisation. Sterner says that he didn’t know anything until Ballantine got in touch with him and gives Ballantine’s contact details to the Webbers. Bobbie is jealous when Noah brings Stacy to the Disco. Zach, Amy and Kathy are also there. Bobbie eventually admits to Noah that she is worried about Luke. Noah and Bobbie end up ditching the others to go and find Rick and Lesley. Rick and Lesley give them an update and Noah reveals that his uncle is a senator so could also be able to help. Ballantine calls, and Rick tells him that he is willing to go to the press. Ballantine agrees to meet with Rick and Lesley in Washington. Back at the Disco, Kathy has a brief chat with Corrigan about any updates in the investigation into Alan while Stacy has a hissy fit as Amy teases her about being ditched. The Titan guests prepare for the broadcast of the royal wedding. Since the crew are also invited, Luke, Laura and Robert plan to steal the formula while the guests are distracted by the wedding. Actual footage (with sound) is shown of Charles and Diana’s wedding vows. Luke and Laura are so engrossed by the wedding and in each other that they forget their part of the plan (to turn on the air conditioner so that Victor will remove his coat). Robert is forced to steal Victor’s wallet while he is still wearing his coat. Robert also gets Tiffany’s attention and she later asks Laura about him. Later as Luke, Laura and Robert toast to the fall of the house of Cassadine, Victor has noticed that his copy of the formula is missing. He contacts Mikkos’ communications person; blaming Max and ‘Thor’ for the theft and saying that he will organise a search for the formula when they reach the island.
  24. That's a really good show. Need to have a rewatch at some point.
