  1. Was he the only Chase? I really liked him on AW. I wish that had worked out.
  2. I'm not sure. I never have watched or seen much of the last months of SFT but I wonder how Ashford was with Joanna Going. I never felt like Lisa Grady was much of a fit for her. I think Adair and Chase were long gone. Which Kate do you prefer?
  3. "Can you imagine Victor's son? He'll probably look like a little baboon." Whoever cast Josh Morrow must have been watching this.
  4. A goodbye to Cooper. https://www.pastemagazine.com/articles/2017/09/a-love-letter-to-twin-peaks-special-agent-dale-coo.html
  5. Thanks for sharing those. That scene where she has the gun on him, and the music, and the hair - it's so so so '80s. Probably the essence of '80s soaps more than almost anything else I've ever seen. Those scenes were great (Teri Eoff's work impresses me the more I watch it) but I was much more involved in the scene with Aidar and Justine. After a cheesy start it felt so real and they were both so likeable. It's a shame nothing was done with either character.
  6. He was a stunning guy - his eyes and smile and chiseled features, and the rest, as we know from After Dark. He was also a good actor. I'm sorry that the show never did more with him in later years. I think that Erica and Mark were two of the only "oops they're siblings" characters to actually bond as siblings. Most of the time one would be written out soon after (Marie on DAYS, Lorie's brother Mark on Y&R, et al).
  7. Ste is just a void - he has no chemistry with his love interests. I include rib-breaker Brendan, the sexiest domestic violence expert of all time, in that. I wish they'd do Harry/James but Harry/Ryan wouldn't bother me either. We're likely to have nothing instead.
  8. I don't want to see Janine on the show again. They'd ruin her. They nearly did the last time.
  9. Thanks for finding that. Does anyone know the dates on those episodes? The uploader has put two episodes likely several months apart as having the same date. Nice understated performance from Justin Deas, for once. Ariel's eyes... I think I'd seen the bit before where Margo slaps her. @Mitch didn't you say you were a fan of that Nels character? He's in this one. Oof at poor Elaine Princi and the Come wiz me to the Cazbah accent. Seeing them in Bob's house is strange. I just wish Nancy had been around to react to her. Can you imagine?
  10. The most nonsensical part is when I see fans going on about how of course he was bisexual and it was so brave and honest of the show to just never discuss his sexuality. You know, aside from when he was nailing sisters... I'm sorry. I know what it's like to lose your favorite characters.
  11. Wasn't she supposed to be blue-collar, like Nola? I know she was more of a worker than Nola.
  12. There's a reason why Ryan obviously didn't want Trump to win. The joke is that even after Trump stabbed the true believers in the back with this debt ceiling plan, they are still blaming Ryan.
  13. She's still with the angry nose bleed man.
  14. When they had him targeting Jack and the Carters for no apparent reason I knew they were going to just make him look awful to prop Ian and Jane and Phil. I checked out. To be honest I've checked out of the show mentally for a while now. Today's episode and Tuesday's were laughingstocks. The ratings will be good, I'm sure, but Julia Smith and Tony Holland would be sick at what this show has become.
  15. That's interesting. I never can remember who got the criticism in that era as I thought some didn't like Freddie Bartholomew either. I think Bunim also got backlash at some of her other soaps (was she at Search?). It's also interesting what you say with James filling the role Brad was supposed to fill as a pseudo-Roger type character. In a lot of ways James does seem to have the same narrative role as Roger over the years, the main difference being that Roger was a much much better written character and Zaslow also wasn't on GL at a time when the soaps were doing the evil cartoon villain stuff. I can imagine someone having him kidnap Holly, Christina, and Ed recast #45 and putting them in a shark tank or something.
  16. She and the girl who plays April are the worst child actors on the show for me. I thought they might have had her leave by now as Dan and Kerry don't really need her to stay on the canvas, but maybe she's there in case Sean ever comes back, I don't know.
  17. I think sometimes it's more about availability with child actors as she didn't appear for long periods of time in the last year or two. She used to appear a lot more than she does now. She's also 2-3 years older than her character.
  18. Thanks for the memory jog @dc11786. I hope some of that pops up someday, even if it sounds just awful...
