1 minute ago, All My Shadows said:
Has Corrie ever had any nudity? I’m watching a 1975 episode, and Ray is getting dressed while talking with Deirdre. He has shirt on over underwear, but the underwear are extremely tiny, leaving lots of butt and a very quick glimpse of bulge. I thought that was rather a lot for an old-fashioned soap in the 70s.
Not complaining at all, though, because Neville Buswell was immaculate.
Not that I remember. The most you tend to get is generous underwear shots.
Neville and William Roache were keeping the totty side going through the '70s...

Trump has emboldened morons like Reeves to kill countless people in exchange for quick cash. Many other parts of the country will follow suit - blind greed and devotion to a man who is now going around talking about how people shouldn't even need ventilators. They will all rot in hell.
You know Faux News did this to convince Trump to dump Fauci. Either way, it still makes me laugh.

There was some debate on Twitter about why the media doesn't care about Jay Inslee but is all over Andrew Cuomo. I think part of the reason is just that New York is always going to be a bigger story, but it's also because the media has been selling Cuomo family narratives for 40 years now.
Anyway, I didn't know Mark Blum was married to Janet Zarish, who deserved much better than she got from OLTL (she was Lee Halpern).
My mother loves Crocodile Dundee so I remember him most from that, but I also liked him in Desperately Seeking Susan. I always thought he was very handsome in that part.

Definitely. She's better than a number of people paid to rap these days...
Some of the cast have been entertaining fans on their social media through all this quarantining. Heidi Gardner and Ego Nwodim were doing an Instagram Live tonight but I wasn't able to see it - apparently you can only watch on a Smartphone, at the time it's happening.

I see that lots of leftist Twitter is pushing allegations about Joe Biden from last year that have changed and are from a major Putin supporter. It would be hypocritical of me to say these are lies, when I do think people who say they have been assaulted should be listened to, but they have disqualified themselves so many times in the past year (even the last month) that they do nothing to help people give her or her allegations any credibility.

I forgot I had this browser window still open - @JaneAusten you might be interested in it (you've probably already read it, sorry). It's about Marie Newman.

I keep thinking of the above when I see nonsense like this - a lengthy piece excoriating Democrats for giving the GOP ammo with various items in stimulus plans and budgets.
The Democrats did not lose control of Congress because of money for honey bees - they lost it because of well-funded racism and extremism which culminated in a member of Congress being shot in the head.
Meanwhile, Lindsey Graham is out there berating nurses and claiming they will scheme to get fired so they can sit at home counting money, and I don't see anybody in the Beltway saying a goddamn thing.

Sorry to hear about Laura.
Thank you for the kind comments. I haven't heard any more bad news yet so hopefully something will improve...
And Lindsey Graham was going around a few days ago talking about how he wanted to help the unemployed. Now the truth is out, if it was ever gone. Old hags like him hate and fear anybody who has ever genuinely tried to help in their lives.

Got a text earlier today about a family member - their brother-in-law is in the hospital. He became increasingly ill, made worse by existing health problems, and is now on a ventilator. His wife can't be with him, and she also has serious health problems. They are still waiting for tests to come back.
I don't keep saying this stuff because I want to make it all about me. I say it because I just want a record of some kind with so many idiots out there who still insist it isn't happening, it's nothing, celebrities are being paid to lie so we will all be controlled, or that if we are "strong" enough, everything will be fine.
To use the old cliche, life comes at you fast. With the lunatic in the Oval Office ordering everyone to church in a few weeks, we will all be at more risk than ever. I just hope we make it through, somehow.

I wish they would consider ending the Olympics, period - they bring crushing, decades-long debt to many of the host locations, and the world is not in a place at this point, financially or psychologically, for what is essentially a great deal of posturing and lying. I know I'm sure as hell not going to sit around and cheer Team USA at this point. They are being used as pawns by monsters.

After all the years of coldness and emptiness from Katie Couric and Matt Lauer (and boy would he have been a passive-aggressive dick in this instance), it's nice to see Today get back its heart, for a moment anyway.
Trump never invoked the DPA because big business told him it would be a mistake in the long run (socialism boo, etc.). Then Boy Blunder, Kushner, tried to negotiate a deal with GM, only to pull out because of money. They then invoked the DPA and tried to shame GM...while tweeting to an account that isn't GM's and telling them to get back to work at a plant that GM sold last year. They only invoked the DPA out of humiliation. Keep an eye on those ventilators because I have a feeling they will be left sitting in a warehouse, or only going to red states.

The Atlantic has done a series of articles on Erie, PA's attempts to recover from economic rot. The latest is on their new reality following the shutdowns.
