  1. While I'm glad that they didn't actually try to make viewers think Nicola being menopausal or losing a baby made her want to kidnap a child, this story proceeded to make me loathe a character I already hated (Jai) and make me dislike a character I liked (Jimmy). It's one thing to not be sure of your wife. It's another to actively undermine her to the police and to the village, and then play innocent when it leads to terrible consequences. He's a horrible husband, far more than I ever imagined. And the scene of her being put in the police car as her family (including her father, who had driven for hours just to be there) just stood around, Jimmy gawping like a dying fish - bullshit. Over and over Megan sees Jai's weak, sniveling ways, and calls him out, only to back down. It's so frustrating. I really like Rakesh and how he tries to keep Priya steady. I hope the show won't have her sleep with Kirin...

  5. It's because there is a God.
  6. I'm somewhere into May now, I guess (a few episodes after Penny's arrival). I've noticed that several episodes don't have closing credits. Was this true on the original airings as well or are the closing credits missing, or is Retro TV or the affiliate not showing some of them?

  9. Can someone tell me who Judy Lewis played on the show?
  10. Thanks for telling us about these blogs. I haven't been to Walford Web in a long time, before they ever shut down (are the same people still running it?), but I will have to look and see if they still have all the individual and group cast photos from over the years, which I always liked seeing.
  11. It's not that Pilon was a bad actor - I just thought he was dull as hell.
  12. I keep seeing people say he'll sleep with Bernice. Ugh Poor Bernice. I hate those types of stories. I hope it won't happen. Who is his son Carl by? I had not heard of this character. This babynapping story is ridiculous and, as Debbie said, it makes no sense to believe Nicola would kidnap a baby, even with her recent struggles. That Jimmy has so little faith in her makes me very sour.
  13. Mick mushmouthing and lisping in Stacey's ear as she looks comatose is one of the most terrifying mental images I've ever had.
  14. Pretty boy Aaron Schock really must have pissed someone off with his famewhoring ways. Politico keeps digging in, and digging in, and digging in, as are others. Wonder how long it will be until he retires for that lobbying job. http://www.politico.com/story/2015/02/schock-lawyers-up-115476.html?hp=t2_r http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2015/02/24/preserving-a-new-type-of-public-record-aaron-schocks-instagram-feed/ http://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/lawmaker-with-lavish-decor-billed-private-planes-concerts/2015/02/23/c7754d72-bbac-11e4-bdfa-b8e8f594e6ee_story.html I hope that Downton Abbey office and that big picture of Thomas he probably has as his desktop background were worth it....
  15. I think a lot of people miss Stacey/Bradley, and there's also an idea that if she marries a Fowler then it fulfills her iconic status. I have to admit I don't get this at all. I was a fan of Ruth's (before the baby misery, anyway) and I was a fan of Lofty's, but would you call them "iconic"? Or that fishwife Sonia? If they mean it will help bring the Fowlers back to prominence, that would be nice, but it doesn't have to be through Stacey. I'd rather see Stacey/Max. I guess I will try with Stacey and Martin, but there's no spark. I always thought Bradley and Stacey had a nice basic chemistry which I'm not seeing here. I'm trying to think of any other man on the canvas I'd be interested in seeing her with and it's tough to have any positive thoughts of most of them. Maybe she can be with Charlie if he too commits suicide right after.
  16. I think they're going to keep focusing on Abi's mental instability (which bearding for Ben will not help any) but Abi/Lorna, while a decent actress, is best in small doses, to me. Too much and it just sounds like whining, because of her nasal voice and pouty faces. I'm not sure what they could do with Lauren, but I'd say her relationship with Stacey should be the primary focus for the character, as they have a very interesting bond. A part of me wishes they'd put Martin with her instead of Stacey, in part because I think he would drive Max around the bend, as this actor is basically playing it as Bradley 2.0.
  17. Unless they ask her to come back early she will likely be gone until fall at the soonest. One of the only maternity leaves I remember being cut short in UK soaps is (I think) Alison King on Corrie, as Carla carried the show for huge portions of time in recent years. I first heard of Danny Dyer when someone posted some DVD extra of him wandering around with his dick out to get a reaction from other cast members. I know he's been in some acclaimed things (like Borstal Boy, Greenfingers, etc.) but I always remember him for wandering around with his cock out. And that was better acting than most of what I've seen from him as Mick Carter.
  18. I can't blame her, but it's sad to read. And sadly it's even more true of daytime today.
  19. Someone tell MissLlanviewPA that new Gaby material is up. VickRobCal hadn't uploaded in years. I'm glad they are again.
  20. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I wish more of her work was around too - the little I've seen holds up very well and, for all Lemay's talk of old-fashioned acting, feels more modern to me than some performances in that era.
  21. Ratings were up from last week, and also up from the equivalent episode last season (which was a stronger Oscars, and that was also the Beth/Daryl standalone episode that polarized fans). http://headlineplanet.com/home/2015/02/24/ratings-amcs-the-walking-dead-bounces-back-against-oscars/
  22. Everything Bethenny has done on TV outside of her previous RH stuff has been a big flop, and a lot of people seemed to hate her even by the end of her run on those shows. I wonder if she's going to regret coming back. She always seems deeply unpleasant and forced to me whenever I see her.
