Mitch and Felicia’s wedding begins

CHURCH

Rachel, Felicia, Lorna, and Amanda are upstairs in the bride’s room. Rachel, Lorna, and Amanda already have their dresses on. Felicia still has a robe on.

Felicia: You all look so beautiful today.

Amanda: Thank you Felicia.

Lorna: This is your day mom. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen you this happy.

Rachel: I second that.

Amanda: Well Lorna, let’s go take our places.

Lorna: See ya downstairs mom.

Felicia: Thank you honey.

Rachel: Well it’s finally here.

Felicia: I’ve waited for this for so long Rachel.

Rachel: I know how you feel. You and Mitch are gonna be happy.

Felicia: Yes I hope so.

Rachel: You hope so? Of course you are GOING to be happy. Don’t let those thoughts creep into your mind.

Felicia: I can’t help but think about it though. Every man I’ve loved, I’ve lost.

Rachel: Listen to me, do not let that negativity creep into your thoughts. You love Mitch, and Mitch loves you, and nothing is going to get in the way of that.

LOVE MANSION

Jake rings the doorbell, and gets a pleasant greeting when someone opens the door.

Jake: Hi honey.

Bridget: Dad!

Jake: How’s my little girl?

Bridget: I’m fine I guess. Come in.

Jake: So what’s going on? I had to come see you. I haven’t been here for you. I’m so sorry.

Bridget: I don’t care. I’m glad you’re here now.

Someone else rings the doorbell.

Bridget (on her way to the door): Who could that be?

She opens it and SHE is surprised to see Vicky. “Mom?” Bridget asks.

Vicky: May I come in?

Bridget: Donna’s not here.

Vicky: I didn’t come to see Donna. I came to see you.

CAMERA PAN ON BRIDGET….SLOW FADE TO THEME SONG

Vicky walks in the living room and sees Jake.

Jake: Vicky.

Vicky: Oh were you having private time with Bridget. I can come back.

Jake: No. I don’t want you to leave. I think it’s time we talked.

Bridget: It’s my fault. All the things that I did tore us apart. I’m the reason why you’re fighting.

Jake: No you’re not honey. Stop blaming yourself.

Vicky: There’s enough blame to go around here. I came to see you because I want you to come back home.

Bridget: Really?

Vicky: Michele’s death has taken a heavy toll on me, and I’ve been taking it out on you...and you, too Jake. I’ve been completely irrational. I want my family back.

Jake and Bridget look at each other in amazement.

Jake: Vick, there’s something I have to tell you.

Vicky: What is it?

Jake: I’m going out of town again.

Vicky: Out of town. I tell you that I want our family back together and you’re taking a trip. Where?

Jake: I’m going with Frankie to St. Croix.

Vicky: Oh so you and Frankie are getting hot and heavy huh?

Jake: You know it’s not like that.

Vicky: Really? I saw you two hugging in your office.

Jake: What about you and the new Chief of Detectives?

Vicky: There’s nothing going on there.

Jake: Right, and there’s nothing going on between Frankie and me.

Vicky: Am I really supposed to believe that? You’re going to a Caribbean island together!

Bridget: Stop it! Please! Both of you! I can’t stand to see you fighting.

Vicky: Well you won’t, because I’m leaving.

Bridget: Mom come on!

Vicky walks out the door.

Felicia is wearing her wedding dress and Rachel looks her up and down.

Felicia: What are you doing?

Rachel: Just making sure everything is okay.

Felicia: Is it? I don’t have stains on my dress do I?

Rachel: No. You look absolutely flawless.

Cass walks in.

Cass: She’s right. You look beautiful.

Rachel: I’m gonna give you two a moment. I’ll be downstairs.

Felicia: This is it Cass. I’m getting married. This time for keeps.

Cass: You’re right. This is the happiest I’ve seen you in forever.

Felicia (sighing nervously): You really think is gonna work?

Cass: Of course it is. Are you having second thoughts?

Felicia: No of course not. I love Mitch and I want to be his wife, but I can’t help but think if it’s going to end up the same way as the other men that I’ve loved. Lucas, Zane.

Cass: Oh Felicia. You can’t think that way. You and Mitch are gonna spend the rest of your lives together.

DOWNSTAIRS IN THE CHURCH

The guests are waiting, as Amanda, Lorna, and Mitch are at the front.

Lorna: Where’s your best man?

Mitch: He’s around.

Amanda: Hopefully he’ll be coming soon. Everything is about to start.

Rachel sees a familiar face dressed in a tuxedo.

Rachel: Matthew? When did you get here? Why didn’t you tell me that you were in town?

Matthew: Because I wanted to see the look on your face that you have now.

Rachel: I thought you said you weren’t gonna be able to make it.

Matthew: That was part of the surprise.

Rachel and Matthew hug.

Rachel: You’re wearing a tux…you came to stand up for Mitch?

Matthew: Yep.

Rachel: Wow I know that took a lot. I’m so proud of you.

Cass is still with Felicia.

Cass: Are you ready to be given away?

Felicia: As I’ll ever be.

Cass: This will be a day you’ll never forget.
