Lynn Herring, Lucy Coe, General Hospital, GH

After teasing some big news to come with a series of behind the scenes clips featuring Lynn Herring as her character, Lucy Coe, ABC’s “General Hospital” announced on Tuesday that it will be holding its annual Nurses Ball event beginning Tuesday, May 20.

“Dress to impress, as they say, and prepare for a week of excitement, drama, and a whole lot of costume changes,” read a message posted to the show’s social media channels, including Facebook, X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, among others.

“Lucy Coe cordially invites you to attend the 2025 General Hospital Nurses Ball,” read the official invitation, noting the event features a “charitable night of singing, dancing, and so much more.”

“Guess what? You’re going to love something old, something new, a big surprise for you. I just made a poem,” noted Herring, appearing in a promo announcing the 2025 Nurses Ball. “The Nurses Ball is back. Come play with us, come watch us, come enjoy… just be with us. Celebrate everything General Hospital Nurses Ball 2025.”

Herring’s Lucy Coe has hosted the Nurses Ball ever since it was conceived in 1994 under then-executive producer Wendy Riche. The event was held every year until 2001, only to return in 2013 under current executive producer Frank Valentini, who has kept the tradition alive continuously ever since except in 2024, when the Nurses Ball did not take place for unknown reasons.

Check out the promo below.

You can check out a clip leading up to the big announcement below, posted Monday, and featuring a dance between Herring and cast member Carlo Rota (Jenz Sidwell).
