Tamron Hall

On Monday, March 31, talk show host Tamron Hall will celebrate 1,000 episodes of her daytime talk show, “Tamron Hall,” featuring celebrity guests, including “Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts.

In the episode, the show presents a magical giveaway to a 13-year-old whose neighborhood lemonade stand raised over $200,000 to support other kids. Meanwhile, beauty entrepreneur Shontay Lundy, creator of “Black Girl Sunscreen,” stops by. Later, Tamron receives a special surprise from her alma mater, Temple University.

“Everything, even the hard parts, I love,” said Hall in a recent interview with ABC7 Los Angeles (KABC). “What’s so great about hosting a talk show is that I’m able to infuse my journey every day. It’s been great to talk about my son, to talk about my journey,” she noted, adding, “Put the baby to bed, OK, I’ve got the sitter.”

“Being the executive producer of the show and creating the show, I have a particular set of skills,” Hall continued. “I had to lean in on those particular skills to present the conversation to our audience, but also down to the flowers and the colors, and the energy of the show. When people turn on the show, I want them to feel like they are just wrapped in this energy.”

“You might think that that road has tapped out for you,” Hall shared when asked about not waiting for someone to create the show for her. “There’s always a bridge to extend the journey. You got to find it.”

In addition to celebrating a milestone for the talk show, Hall is also promoting her new book, “Harlem Honey,” which she says is a love letter to her son, Moses Greener

“So often in our world, we talk about big emotions and big feelings, but I wanted to expand the conversation about fear because we can so easily assign a negative to a child being shy,” shares Hall. “Instead, this book talks about how you use curiosity to understand that on the other side of fear, there’s fun. So Moses, the character here, goes out on a journey in Harlem, hitting up some of the hot spots, the Apollo, Sylvia, Studio Museum, but in the process, he talks about what it means to face fears using curiosity.”

Appearing on the “I Choose Me with Jennie Garth” podcast, Hall talked about having a Black Brady Bunch, plus she opened up about the death of her sister, Renate Kimberly Newton, from her stepfather’s side of the family, detailing the incident that led to her not speaking with her sister for several months, and the moment her mother called to tell her that her sister had passed, and how it was not an accident.

Throughout the discussion, Hall opens up about the unsolved murder and how her family is now committed to helping other families.

Separately, Hall addresses how she once agreed to executive produce a show with disgraced Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein and how she noticed he was slow on getting her money. Finally, Hall shares how she went through multiple rounds of IVF and endured some hard truths, and how she saw a sign for adoption and felt that was the direction to go before later finding out she was pregnant.

Featuring a dynamic mix of live and taped shows, “Tamron Hall” is produced by ABC News and is distributed in national syndication by Disney Entertainment.

The show broadcasts from New York City and is executive produced by Tamron Hall and Quiana Burns.
