Grosse Pointe Garden Society, NBC

After airing just four episodes, NBC announced on Tuesday that its freshman drama series “Grosse Pointe Garden Society” will be moving from Sunday nights to Fridays at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT, beginning Friday, April 4.

The series follows four members of a suburban garden club who find their lives intertwined by scandal, mischief and a shared secret – a murder no one wants to talk about. As dark truths begin to rot their lives under the surface, they struggle to remain as perfect as the flowers blooming in their garden above.

Episodes five and six are set to continue airing on Sunday nights for the remainder of the month (March 23 and March 30 at 10:00 p.m. ET/PT) with the seventh episode serving as the first in the show’s new timeslot.

“Dateline NBC” will replace the series on Sundays beginning Sunday, April 6.

To date, the pilot episode of “Grosse Pointe Garden Society” has been seen by 6.6 million viewers across all platforms, more than three times its Live+Same Day day debut performance on Sunday, February 23. Additionally, its 1.21 in Adults 18-49 is more than seven times its Live+Same Day deut performance, also across all platforms.

The series stars Melissa Fumero (“One Life to Live”), Aja Naomi King (“How to Get Away with Murder”), Ben Rappaport, AnnaSophia Robb, Matthew Davis, Alexander Hodge, Nancy Travis and Felix Wolfe.

In the April 4 episode, Alice (AnnaSophia Robb) faces unexpected challenges at work, while Brett (Ben Rappaport) feels pressure launching his car restoration business. Meanwhile, Birdie (Melissa Fumero) grows more involved in a tempting affair, and, in flash forwards, Catherine’s (Aja Naomi King) marriage faces new hurdles when law enforcement seeks answers.

Produced by Universal Television, a division of Universal Studio Group, the series is written and created by Jenna Bans and Bill Krebs, both of whom also serve as co-showrunners and executive producers alongside Casey Kyber.
