On “Beyond the Gates,” Kat (Colby Muhammad) confronts Eva (Ambyr Michelle), accusing her of wanting everything that she has. Meanwhile, Andre (Sean Freeman) talks to Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) about how his interest in Ashley (Jen Jacob) is something new to him, considering he doesn’t generally go for women not from “our texture.”

Elsewhere, Hayley makes a declaration to Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett), whose daughter, Naomi (Arielle Prepetit), is urged to sue his firm. Separately, Hayley (Marquite Goings) heads to Dani’s (Karla Mosley) house, proposing that the former Mrs. Hamilton not overstep her boundaries or else she’ll have to face the consequences of her actions. Later, Nicole demands that Ted (Maurice Johnson) explain himself, wondering why he’s trying to dictate what she can and cannot do.
