Hours before the show aired its eighth season finale on Wednesday, BET announced that it has renewed “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” for a ninth season, set to premiere Wednesday, July 16 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on the network.
Following a tight-knit group of accomplished and relatable women as they navigate the complexities of love, career, and friendship in the modern world, Season 9 sees even more emotional depth, unexpected revelations, and the powerful narratives that have made the show a fan favorite.
In the Season 8 finale, Andi (KJ Smith) must decide whether or not she wants to make things work with Robin (Austin Scott) before he possibly walks out of her life forever. Sabrina (Novi Brown) finally gets closure from an old lover on the heels of having to decide what to do with her and Rich (Monti Washington). Meanwhile, the outcome of Danni’s (Mignon) lawsuit threatens her and Tony’s (Branden Wellington) future. Karen (Ebony Obsidian) and Fatima (Crystal Renee’ Hayslett) become closer than they ever imagined. And Gary’s (Chido Nwokocha) investigation comes to a head with shocking revelations.
