Beyond The Gates, The Gates, #BeyondTheGates #BTG

CBS’ “Beyond the Gates” is one of several shows scheduled to take part in SCAD TVfest, the annual television festival that spotlights the latest in design, creativity, and innovation on television, streaming and digital media.

The festival, which runs from February 5-7 in Atlanta, Georgia, will feature a screening and panel discussion with cast members from the daytime drama series on Wednesday, February 5 at 4:30 p.m. local time. Individual tickets to the event cost just $5.00.

Scheduled to take part are actors Clifton Davis, Daphnee Duplaix and Karla Mosley, as well as executive producer Sheila Ducksworth, who is also president of the CBS Studios/NAACP Venture that is spearheading the series.

“Beyond the Gates” follows an affluent Black family who hold court over the fictional Fairmont Crest Estates, a posh gated community that’s the center of luxury with wealthy residents harboring deep secrets. The series premieres Monday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. ET/1:00 p.m. PT on CBS.

Earlier this week, potential viewers got a taste of what the show is all about when CBS released a second promo for the series, airing it after the big AFC Divisional Playoff game on Sunday and across its daytime and primetime schedule in the days that followed.

Additional screenings and panels taking place during the festival include such shows as “Agatha All Along,” “The Amazing Race,” “Shōgun,” “St. Dennis Medical,” “Found,” “Cobra Kai,” “The Recruit,” “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” and “Outlander,” among others. “Stranger Things” creators the Duffer Brothers will receive the Variety Showrunner Award at the festival, and will also take part in a screening of their hit Netflix series.

Tickets to the festival cost as low as $5.00 for an individual ticket to a single screening and panel, and $50 for a general public day pass ($25 for SCAD members/alumni) that gives access to all screenings and panels taking place on the chosen day. Tickets top out at $125 for a general public festival pass ($100 for SCAD members/alumni) with access to all screenings and panels taking place over the three days.

    • Yes, they are new pictures of him.
    • I would submit to you that she doesn't need any more excuses, not when it comes to Bill. But, I am one fan who thinks Bill isn't done with Dani & also the reverse is so. Those two, IMO, are locked in some kind of toxic but  irresistible vortex. I'm not saying we're going to have scifi. Just the personality kind of vortex. OH!!! Thanks. I don't do Y&R. But I totally understand anger even frustration with Josh.
    • Any chance you could share this episode to the vault? Please.
    • @asafi @yrfan1983 Jennifer Brooks death was September 1977. A recap of it is here
    • a reference to a mystery character on Y&R named "Aristotle Dumas" who has been discussed a zillion times in the past few months but never seen.  Not mad at the character.  Mad at Y&R writer Griffith for the annoyance. Mentioned to point out the annoyances of Y&R in contrast to enthusiasm for BTG.
    • It also seemed like she wanted an excuse to go over Bill's and yell at him.
    • The number 1 rated soap, and no one seems to like it. I don’t remember the last episode I watched. The Damian story was the only thing keeping me watching but I just gave up on the show altogether again.
    • Not all friends are alike though and there should be a counterbalance in some friendships on soaps. Dani has already been all over the place enough and doesn't need an unstable friend.
    • I was finally warming up to Eva but today, that girl, what in the world was she thinking, crawling back to Mama saying she was under a lot of pressure. Pitiful. And, just what did she get for her trouble? Rebuffed, totally. Anastasia, she can go kick rocks. Who needs her & what was she wearing? I'm surprised to learn that some people did not have an appreciation of Dani & then Anita, right after, at Theodore's. I thought they were both right on the money & also sharp, witty.  Ted, of course, is playing at being Impervious Man, which is very funny & he takes it one step further, making all these declarations of his intent to woo Nicole back & win her trust again. I find myself laughing so hard at him & at how he has totally misread his circumstances. He has zero chance but wow he has so much confidence. This I find to be so humorous, possibly unintentionally so.  Edit to add: What does Alexander Dumas have to do with anything? And why are people seeming to be mad at him?
    • They feel like a bad Three's Company parody.
