Webmaster Errol Posted May 13, 2024 Webmaster Share Posted May 13, 2024 Soap vet Jordi Vilasuso (“The Young and the Restless,” “All My Children”) has joined the cast of “The Bay” in the role of Justin Ramos, a character previously portrayed by David Lago (“The Young and the Restless”), reports Soap Hub. “I have known about ‘The Bay’ for years and have met Gregori [J. Martin, executive producer] throughout my career. When he asked me to join the show as [the new] Justin Ramos, I was thrilled. Having the chance to work with A Martinez again and the rest of the incredible cast is exciting,” said Vilauso in a statement to the outlet. “I have known Jordi for a while and have always loved his work. I am grateful to have him join the show as Justin,” Gregori said. Vilasuso will first appear during the show’s ninth season, which is set for release later this year. The character has not been seen since season five. This year, “The Bay” is nominated for five Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Daytime Drama Series. Since its debut, the show has won 23 Daytime Emmy Awards (out of 56 previous nominations) over its previous seven seasons. As for Vilasuso, he is also an Emmy winner, receiving the coveted statue in 2003 for his portrayal of Tony Santos on “Guiding Light.” He received additional nominations in 2002 and 2022, the latter of which was for his role as Ray Rosales on “The Young and the Restless.” Below, you can watch a clip of Vilasuso announcing his joining “The Bay” during a recent fan event that included some of the show’s cast members, including Kristos Andrews, Eric Nelsen (“All My Children”) and Mike Manning (“Days of our Lives”), along with executive producer Gregori J.
