Hosted by Nischelle Turner from “Entertainment Tonight,” CBS will air an all-new primetime special celebrating the 50th anniversary of “The Young and the Restless” on Monday, March 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT.

Entitled “The Young and the Restless 50th Anniversary Celebration, An Entertainment Tonight Special,” the hour-long program will also be available to stream live and On Demand on Paramount+ and includes footage and interviews with cast members from the past 50 years of the daytime drama series, current exclusive interviews with fan favorites and never-before-seen footage from the “Entertainment Tonight” video vault.

Viewers can look forward to seeing a deep dive into the legacy of “The Young and the Restless” storylines, including epic romances, the show’s biggest feuds and rivalries, iconic weddings, famous alumni and groundbreaking moments that have made their mark in pop culture.

Additional footage featured is a behind-the-scenes studio tour, a look at the show’s massive wardrobe collection and special remembrances to beloved cast members Jeanne Cooper and Kristoff St. John, who died in 2013 and 2019, respectively. Cooper portrayed Katherine Chancellor in the series from 1973 to 2013, and St. John played Neil Winters from 1991 to 2019.

Beginning Wednesday, March 22, the series will kick off its on-air celebration period with the returns of several fan favorites, including Michael Damian as Danny Romalotti, Tricia Cast as Nina Webster, Barbara Crampton as Leanna Love and Veronica Redd as Mamie Johnson, the beloved surrogate mother to the Abbott family.

Premiering March 26, 1973 on CBS, “The Young and the Restless” remains the most-watched and highest-rated daytime drama series, currently ranking #1 in Total Viewers for an impressive 35 consecutive years.
