The new Disney Channel original series co-starring “General Hospital” actor James Patrick Stuart as a father whose family has to uproot their lives and change identities when his daughter, Havoc/Amy (Isabella Pappas), stands up to the head of the League of Villains premiered to low numbers on Friday, June 3.

Entitled “The Villains of Valley View,” an average of just 295,000 viewers tuned in across the show’s two-episode premiere while in Adults 18-49 the show averaged a mere 0.07 rating. Overall, the comedy ranked 70th and 83rd, respectively, in the cable ratings among Total Day figures released by Nielsen (via ShowBuzzDaily), sorted by Adults 18-49. The first episode averaged 309,000 viewers and a 0.07 rating in the demo at 8:00 p.m. followed by the second episode with 281,000 viewers and a 0.06 rating.

Following “The Villains of Valley View” was the two-episode premiere of “Ultra Violet & Black Scorpion,” which follows Mexican American teen Violet Rodriguez (Scarlett Estevez) who is chosen by a magical luchador mask that transforms her into the superhero Ultra Violet, a superhero fighting crime alongside her luchador uncle, Cruz (J.R. Villarreal), also known as Black Scorpion.

The new series ranked 102nd and 129th in Total Day cable rankings, averaging just 253,000 episodes over its two episodes with a 0.05 and a 0.04 rating, respectively, in Adults 18-49. The first episode averaged 269,000 viewers and the second episode averaged 236,000 viewers.

The success of either show won’t necessarily be determined by their ratings performance on the linear network, particularly as their core demo is teens/tweens, but by how they perform when episodes become available to stream on Disney+ (date to be determined).
