Did anyone catch this on Lifetime?

Starting out as an amazing movie, but then it just became depressing. McMillian has been hanging out with Perry, I see.

Kimberly Elise is perfection!

Vinessa Antoine (Jordan, GH) had a small role and she is really good.

Anika Noni Rose has some serious acting chops on her. She was so damn good.

Lyriq Bent is one hot [!@#$%^&*]!

Tichina Arnold - it's always a pleasure watching her, but I have yet to see her play a role where the character was not outright mean and nasty. Really.

Overall, this would have worked best as a limited series. It was just too much for 1 hour and 26 minutes. However, the performances were top notch! Severely above par!

I was bawling. At the end. I think the photos from you know what (trying not to spoil people) were very powerful. Moreso than an actual scene with talking.

I was LMAO when Vi said she pushed Paris who then bumped Janelle and in turn messed her up when she was a kid.

The part where Janelle finds her husband with the daughter was ugh! However, KE outside the bedroom collapsing by the bannister was everything I need to see from an actress. No words, but stellar acting.

I thought in the beginning the husband was messing with the daughter, but then I dismissed it when he casually told the girl he would meet her in the car. I thought "naw, they have a good relationship", so that was a really good shocker.

Then McMillan just pours it on. She didn't let up and I felt so abused.

KE was giving me so many feels. I loved when she was all Mamma's awake. You can tell she was the youngest.

See, I agree. But when Vi was all, you better find out what's wrong at home. It made me suspect the husband even more. I was like, NOW I understand why she wanted to go to boarding school.

Some of McMillan's messages made me cringe. The one that immediately comes to mind is that Charlotte, who was mean as !@#$%^&*], should appreciate that her husband is taking care of his son - most men wouldn't. Bitch, please! This dude cheated 10 years ago and sired a child. He gets no props for taking care of that child, and his wife should not feel grateful that she "won" such a wonderful man who takes care of his responsibilities. Who wants to be constantly reminded that their husband was unfaithful?!

    • @BoldRestless @fivethej Apologies for the late reply! But yes as far as I know I do still have the tape. I remember asking for instructions on this wayy back in 2020, but I will definitely reach out. Only issue is I know my VHS tape collection is in my basement, which looks like the Chancellor mansion attic at the moment.

Also I while I still have DVD/VHS combo player do they even hook-up to modern TV sets or still need a CRT TV? Just asking as I know some folks being off off guard when trying to hook older equipment like some VHS sets and older game consoles quite unsuccessfully
    • It's evident that there was reset of Derek and Ashley's storyline. The attempt to build tension over Derek not resting enough after being injured on the job was not working but the tension over moving in together is. The characters are still not thrilling, but today they at least were worth paying attention to. The writers do want Ashdre and they are easing toward it again.
    • Yes, I believe that is the case. ABC wanted Siobhan and Joe to be a very popular couple and apparently didn't think Sarah Felder was glamorous enough. I don't know if this story is true, but I heard somewhere that Felder told everyone off at her farewell party because of the reason she was fired. If it's not true, it should be!

    • And so it's Andre and Ashley again? Why don't they go ahead and make something bad happen between them? I don't trust the stereotypical vibe. I don't.
    • I guess neither Stephanie or Leo are ever going to investigate the gaping plot holes in the Bob-ette storyline. Other random Thoughts for Thu If Sophia was going to leave Tate alone after he was faint and had a fever, thank goodness she's not planning on raising a baby! Finally, Xander expressed that this situation with Philip was not Victor's desire.  Victor clearly wrote his desires in his will right before he died, and those plans did not include Philip at Titan. I can't with the laws of Salem.  Adults with nut allergies can sue for negligence when they eat a bakery known for using pistachio in their scones, but people discuss insider trading and kidnapping like it is no big deal. It is so simple to research why they have no standing to sue to Sweet Bits (regardless of what the server said). I ignored Brady and Kate being on the board, because that was plausible.  But, Abe is on the board of directors?  That's a stretch. I'm staying mum on Versavix for today, I've had my say....
    • I do love that the episode ended with Kat exclaiming when she was alone "Gotcha!"

For real. Leslie is going to lock her up in a basement
    • It is amazing how everyone in GC just swaps partners and is instantly in love and their previous relationship never happened. All while everyone’s exes live in the same town and go to the exact same 4 places as each other.
    • No to Andre/Ashley. I'm not sensing any connection. Kat is playing a dangerous game going against Silk Press Sheila.
