I'm re-watching the DVD set of the 1983-84 primetime soap The Yellow Rose which starred Sam Elliott, David Soul and Cybill Shepherd. I'm realizing that it's kind of a reverse Dallas And Knots Landing. Those 2 shows began with stand alone episodes and then developed a more serialized format. The Yellow Rose did just the opposite, beginning as a serialized show then about two-thirds into its run went to the stand alone format. Personally, I liked the serialized format of The Yellow Rose better. The stand alone episodes were not that good.

I've never watched this. A few here have. I'm sure we'd love to hear more.

There's some talk of this show in the primetime soap thread too, although I don't remember what page that's on in the past section.
