April 2, 201213 yr Member Is anybody watching tonight's NCAA Basketball Championship between Kentucky and Kansas? I am hoping for a Kansas upset, although Kentucky is heavily favored. (I don't have a preference for either college, but I just don't like Kentucky's head coach.) I think that the best part about this years tournament was when two #15 seeds defeated two #2 seeds. (A #1 seed has never been defeated in the first round.) Edited April 2, 201213 yr by Max
April 3, 201213 yr Member Oh I'm watching it and am a huge Kentucky and am cheering on the Wildcats the whole way!
April 3, 201213 yr Author Member As expected, this is a very lopsided game. Kentucky had a 14 point lead at halftime. I wonder if they will able to set a new record for biggest margin of victory in a championship game. (The current record was set in 1990, when UNLV defeated Duke 103-73.) There hasn't been a championship game decided by a single point since Michigan defeated Seton Hall in 1989 (in overtime), 80-79. Edited April 3, 201213 yr by Max
April 3, 201213 yr Member I don't think it will be that lopsided tonight, however if Kentucky keeps playing hard I would guess they might win by 10-15.
April 3, 201213 yr Member We won!!!!!!!!! This was the first time since I was 11 years old that UK has won! I remember the last time they did in 1998 I went on a field trip to the UK Basketball Museum. It was magical. Ha. I am from Lexington and I live in the next town over now. I have roots to UK since my brother went there. I love our team! And, I'm happy we finally made it!!! Also. Anthony Davis has the craziest eyebrows I've ever seen! LOL. April 3, 201213 yr Author Member Congrats to Kentucky on their win. Because each round of the college basketball playoffs consists of only one game (as opposed to a best of five or seven series), the best team often does not become the champion. However, 2012 proved to be an exception. Edited April 3, 201213 yr by Max
