Members quartermainefan
This is a homage to classic Hollywood B movies. It is about 35 years old, stars George C Scott, Trish Van Devere, Barry Bostwick, Eli Wallach, Harry Hamlin and more. It is a double feature, a boxing story and a Broadway musical and well worth checking out. Charming is a great word for this movie. Unfortunately, the boxing story was released originally in B/W but somehow wound up in color. <iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/Y2iSKs_mza8" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> <iframe width="640" height="480" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/0eL3P6UAJ88" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> The movies and music forum almost never discusses movies so if anyone ever is looking for something to watch, I recommend this. Members DRW50
I remember reading a Pauline Kael review of that a long time ago. I was going to ask a movie question soon so since you love movies I hope you can join in.
Members EricMontreal22
Loks interesting--and see the brilliant Michael Kidd did the musical numbers. Oh and Stanley Donen directed it--wow)
