The first clip doesn't have any sound unfortunately so I didn't post it. There are 6 segments, each about 30 minutes. I'll post them all in the replies

William Bell (1927-2005) recalls his first soap opera writing job at "Guiding Light" and his working relationship with creator Irna Phillips, and working closely with Agnes Nixon. He talks about co-creating "As the World Turns," and "Another World" with Ms. Phillips, as well as becoming head writer for "Days of Our Lives" in 1965. Among his greatest achievements, Mr. Bell speaks about his creative relationship with wife/writing partner Lee Phillip Bell, in creating two successful daytime soap operas, "The Young and the Restless," and "The Bold and the Beautiful."

Sorry if this is too many media files, if so, I can just make them links. I had no idea this existed and never saw it posted here. He seriously talks for three hours about daytime, various shows, and various writers/creators, it's fabulous! With the end of soaps drawing near, I found his comments particularly fascinating.
