Katie Holmes in new tv mini-series 'The Kennedys'

In press reports dated March 29, Katie Holmes talks about her new tv mini-series 'The Kennedys.'

Katie Holmes claimed to have done research for her role as Jackie Kennedy. She says that Jackie "was the youngest First Lady at age 32," when she was, in fact, the 3rd youngest First Lady, at age 31, when she became First Lady. Jackie was born July 28, 1929 and JFK was inaugurated on Jan. 20, 1961, making her 31 years, 5 mos., 23 days. ...The youngest was Frances Cleveland, at age 21, when she married Grover Cleveland on June 2, 1886 and the 2nd youngest was Julia Tyler when she married John Tyler in June of 1844.

From what I have read from industry buzz...the movie was axed by the History Channel, among others. Critics have given it a big thumbs down.

It's meant to be pretty campy. I find it hysterical though that History CHannel int he US has claimed they decided it doesn't fit the mandate of their station (have you seen what they largely show?? LOL This would fit much more) and there's controversy that the Kennedys or another group pressured them to not show. EVen odder is its world premier will be on the (unrelated) Canadian History Channel, and then on the UK's...
