Members jcar03
Going into the Free Skate: 1. Mirai Nagasu 2. Sasha Cohen 3. Rachael Flatt Last year's champ Alissa Czisny is in 7th place. For the Olympics the USA can only send 2 ladies. I was rooting for Rachael Flatt but my guess is even if she makes it to second place the USFSA will pick Sasha Cohen to go. Members lovely_m
I can't believe how low Caroline Zhang is. She was toted as the next big thing in U.S women's figure skating.
Members Rhiannon
Thank goodness. She's one of the reasons only 2 ladies will advance to the Olympics this year..... Here are a few neat performances I found that feature Kristi Yamaguchi and Rudy Galindo when they were competing as a pair at Skate America in 1986, Nationals in 1989 and Nationals in 1990. Members lovely_m
If Timothy Gable (maybe even Matt Savoie) had a mini me, Adam Rippon would be it. I needed to get that off my chest.

Members Rhiannon
I did. Sasha Cohen should have just stayed happy with her Olympic Silver Metal, she just embarrassed herself tonight....
Members jcar03
I am so happy for Rachael Flatt! Rachael and Mirai better be the Olympic team!
Members lovely_m
Is anyone suprised? Before there was Alissa Czisny there was perennial choker Sasha Cohen. My mother should be happy, she hates her. I had read articles saying she proved her doubters wrong. Congrats to Rachel and Mirai. I'm also happy Beatrise Liang was able to move up. Who wants a pewter medal? It's a consolation prize and then to be on the podium with the people who did medal is just rough. Members DAMfan
Frank Carroll coaches both Evan Lysacek and Mirai Nagasu. Frank Carroll is considered one of the best figure skating coaches in the world. He was a student of figure skating legend Maribel Vinson Owen.
