anonymous members & google.com

When you look at the bottom of the main page to see who is online it says there are X number of guests, members and anonymous members. My question is, what is an anonymous member?

of the members is google.com. How does that work?

When you log in anonymously, it simply means that you don't show up in the "Who's Online" portion of the board and if someone were to view your profile, it wouldn't list you as online.

Google often sends spiders to record websites to use in their searches. Google.com simply shows that one of that site's spiders is recording the site.
