I don't think they have tried to make Luner into Liza, so she's been free to do what she wants. She never reminds me of Liza. I wonder how BE would have been with the same freedom, but I do think she would have been a tough sell as Liza. I don't think Beth is the type of actress who suits AMC. I think she would have been more at home on OLTL.

I agree with that statement, well the first part anyway. I'm not sure what her role could have been, had she been offered a contract on OLTL.

But I'm glad you mentioned that. What constitutes an actor/actress to be better suited on AMC as opposed to OLTL? I think the same thing would apply to ATWT and GL, as I've always felt ATWT and AMC were on one side of the soap spectrum and GL and OLTL were on another.

However, this does contradict what I've said above, but I always thought that Martha Byrne would be well suited on OLTL if she went to ABC.

Martha Byrne would work an any show. She's that good.

Beth Ehlers is a very naturalistic actor -- the soaps for her (outside of dead GL) are General Hospital, Y&R, and OLTL. BE was very unwise not to sign with Y&R. Lucky for us we get awesome Stacey Haiduck but I am sure BE also would have done a nice job.

Oh I totally agree with that. OLTL just popped out in my mind first, but I could see her on anything. She is that good.
