Members JackPeyton
Katims lights on 'Oz' update at NBC 'Dorothy Gale' a modern-day take on classic By MICHAEL SCHNEIDER Busy Jason Katims (“Friday Night Lights,” “Parenthood”) is overseeing another drama in development at NBC, this time a modern-day take on “The Wizard of Oz.” “Dorothy Gale” comes from “Friday Night Lights” scribe Bridget Carpenter, who’s exec producing; Katims will serve as a nonwriting exec producer with Meryl Poster. Script follows the story of Dorothy, a girl from Kansas who tries to tackle modern-day Manhattan (her version of the Emerald City). Dorothy finds a job in the art world -- and must deal with a wicked boss. Carpenter’s credits also include “Bionic Woman,” “Dead Like Me” and “Head Cases.” (Marc Graser contributed to this report.) http://www.variety.com/article/VR111800213...d=2431&cs=
