ITV can't afford them.

The bright spot:

Insiders said the awards could be resurrected next January if cash was available.

They covered all TV, including soap. I wonder if this is going to be like the way the soap award shows in the US began to drop off.

ITV is struggling mightily at the moment. I hope the Corrie and Emmerdale producers are doing their best to try to raise ratings.
