Members Y&RWorldTurner
Great start to your documentary! I loved how you talked about Nixon's life and early work and progressed into AMC's beginnings. I recognized some errors with your commentary though. William J. Bell didn't attend Northwestern (Lee Phillip Bell did however), he's a DePaul alum. Also, Another World was never a radio to television soap opera, it was created purely for television. Also, to specify the type of cancer Agnes gave Bert Bauer on GL, it was uterine cancer. I also noticed you mentioned Agnes's year on ATWT after you talked about her GL tenure. She wrote for ATWT in its first year (1956) and was named Head Writer of GL in 1958. Her first writing gig for a soap opera was for Search For Tomorrow, I believe. Members SteveFrame
I don't remember the particular soap but she actually worked in radio soap operas first. She worked as an intern with Irna Phillips on one of her radio soaps. I will have to look that up. Her first TV soap was SFT. She helped to create it and wrote the first 13 weeks. *************************** AMC, I am still trying to look through mags for stuff for you on AMC. I just got a 1972 yearbook this week. It has some stuff on them from 1972. I will scan it for you soon and Email it to you.
