ALL MY CHILDREN

Palmer had a heart attack after learning he's still sterile. Chuck comforted Donna to Melanie's chagrin. Mark rejected the idea he could be a house-husband. Kent forced Brandon to resign his job. Erica made a fool of herself by prematurely announcing she'd won the model of the year award. Jesse dated Angie.

Kent charged Brandon with assault after they tangled in public over Erica. Jenny lost the beauty contest to Liza who rigged her win. Palmer left the hospital and plotted revenge against Donna. Benny gambled money Rick gave him to hire a detective to find Estelle. Nina had an interview with newcomer, Stephen Jacobi. Chuck split with Melanie when she called Donna a prostitute.

Palmer paid an unlicensed physician, Dr. Sloan, to recommend Donna have an abortion. Rick took Benny to Gambler's Anonymous. Brandon insisted to Sara that he loves Erica, who broke off with him again. Phoebe announced that Jenny was the real beauty contest winner.

Erica returned to Brandon's arms, then was miffed that he accepted a Hong Kong job offer. Cliff exploded when Nina hired Mrs. Gurney as a live-in nursemaid and when Nina also accepted the presidency of Courtland Computers. Palmer's fake medic, Dr. Bentley, warned Donna she'd die if she continued her pregnancy. Jesse played up to Angie after she caught him smooching a chippy, Vera, who he later dumped. Angie's ma was dismayed by Jesse's appearance and manner. Phoebe flaunted the fact that she prefers Melanie over Carrie for Chuck. Harry enticed Benny to continue gambling even though Benny didn't have enough money to keep searching for Estelle.

ANOTHER WORLD

Alice began to doubt Steve's love for her. Mac vowed to ruin Mayor Stein who published doctored nude photos of Blaine. Feeling threatened by Elena, Anne left town. Elena remarked that Maggie looks like Rachel.

Rachel told Steve she thinks Maggie is Jamie's child. Jason and punk rocker, Deek, vied for Julia's favors. Steve left to open an office in Finland. Cecile vowed to get even with Blaine, who tricked her into signing Sandy's separation papers. Nicolai is discontent with his country's government. Thomasina advised Quinn to tell Bob she's taken bribes from Denny.

Alice refused to go back to Finland with Steve. Blaine was set up on an assault charge by two cops on Stein's payroll. Elena helped Brian with his mayoral campaign. Mayor Stein dug up dirt on Brian. Sally's computer whiz friend, Howard Ecker, helped Denny bilk Blackhawk of funds.

Cecile agreed to testify against Blaine. Mayor Stein printed Cecile's tipoff that Brian's son, Ted, was a mental case. Howard refused to help Denny rip off Cory Publishing. Julia admitted she's attracted to Jamie. Denny shrugged off Thomasina's warning to leave Quinn alone. Rachel told Elena she's still attracted to Steve. Sandy's determined to get photos of Stein taking bribes. Harry encouraged union members to boycott Steve's projects. Blaine is seeing lady psychiatrist Dr. Wagner.

AS THE WORLD TURNS

Steve vowed to catch the thief who secretly returned the Stenbeck necklace. Margo left for a Chicago training course to get away from Tom. Matt treated Karen, who had a breakdown. Dee let James in on her perfume deal.

Greta left Oakdale, keeping mum that Paul is her grandson. Karen told Betsy she'll bet revenge against Jeff and Annie. Steve learned James bought the rights to John's book. Tom warned Margo that Mr. Big is in Chicago. Barbara refused Gunnar's request that they meet

alone.

James gave Dee the rights to John's book. Barbara went alone to a mountain cabin. Nick was furious that Kim took a secretarial job with Stan. Ariel kept John out of her bed but was impressed with his wealth. Karen failed to convince Annie that Jeff still loves Karen.

Margo accepted a date with Mike Malloy who is secretly working with Mr. Big. Annie vowed to split David and Cynthia who enjoyed a sexual romp. Karen made a copy of Craig's perfume formula. Mystery woman Ingrid found Barbara's hideaway. Margo was upset that Tom forced Lt. Savage to give her a desk job. Kim reassured Nick that she loves him but won't give her a desk job. CAPITOL

Judson vowed to stop Tyler's marriage to Julie whom he thinks is a Clegg spy. Sloane learned Lawrence's family is broke. Clarissa and Mark reminisced about their good times in Washington. Myrna warned Brenda to give up booze and boys.

Myrna and Trey schemed to have Tyler accused of treason. They blackmailed intelligence committee member Phillip Dado (a customer of Shelly's) so he would help them. Lawrence told Trey about Julie and Tyler's romance.

Sloane agreed to let Trey expose corrupt politicians on her TV show. Mark and Phillip let Tyler in on their top secret "Iron Circle Plan”. Myrna threw a fit when Julie insisted she'd see Tayler if she wanted to. To get money for Lawrence, Shelly said Frank could take photos of her in bed with Phillip.

Tyler became a member of the intelligence committee but Trey faked letters implicating Tyler as a Communist sympathizer. Shelly was forced to play dead while Prank took photos of her with a drugged Phillip. Lizbeth went for a joy ride with Jordy, leaving Thomas in the lurch. Lawrence took a job as Trey's aide. Julie convinced Tyler not to tell Wally about their engagement. Clarissa befriended Phil's wife, Joan.

DAYS OF OUR LIVES

Gene had bad vibes about Jake who took a hospital job. Tony and Renee moved to a mountain cabin. Gwen moved in with Marlena as things heated up romantically between Marlena and Roman. Mickey and Linda geared up for their custody fight over Melissa.

Lee wrote Marlena that she's left Salem for good and left a letter telling Renee of her parentage. Neil romanced Liz behind Stefano's back. Tony proposed to Renee. Mickey and Maggie got custody of Melissa.

Renee refused to marry Tony, who doesn't know they're half brother and sister. Jake sneaked into Marlena's apartment with this "strangling scarf." Mickey and Maggie helped Doug spy on Stefano. Valerie applied for a New York job. Tony refused to divorce Liz. Abe realized Jake drugged Jessica the night they tried to elope.

Don and Roman mourned Marlena's murder. But Eugene had a premonition that Marlena's still alive. Sure enough, the coroner reported to Roman that it was Samantha, Marlena's sister, who was strangled by Jake. Roman swore to kill Jake. Renee confided to David that Lee is her mother but kept Tony in the dark. Stefano left town unexpectedly. Danny was smitten by nurse Sally Johnson. Valerie split when Abe said he's not the marrying kind. Gwen comforted Don while Kayla tried to calm Roman's anger.

THE DOCTORS

Billy and Katy plotted to take custody of Lee Ann away from Greta. Theo and Greta talked of marriage. Natalie agreed to help Barney split Nola and Billy. Mona and Phillip's wealthy friend, Felicia Hunt, and her daughter, Adrianne, are coming to Madison.

Adrianne was miffed that Jeff ignored her. Althea returned but said that she wouldn't marry Jeff because she can't have children. Katy decided to kidnap Lee Ann. Mike was attracted to Adrianne, who needs surgery for an old auto accident injury. Nola returned the blackmail money Billy took from Natalie. Theo noted Katy's erratic behavior.

Katy and Lee Ann hid out with Katy's eccentric friend, Hermione. Jeff insisted he still wants to marry Althea. Ivy had a breakdown when Jessica reminded her of Elvira. Nola dumped Billy, accusing him of wanting her. money. Billy left town after admitting he saw Katy take Lee Ann.

Carolee dislikes Adrienne who flirted with Steve. Theo realized Katy is hiding out at Hermione's studio. Maggie offered to help Ivy who returned to work after being hospitalized. Mike and Jeff prepared Adrienne for surgery. Nola planned a reception to announce Luke and Natalie's marriage. Billy was secretive about where he spent his leave of absence. Althea vowed to break off with Jeff.

THE EDGE OF NIGHT

A disguised Smiley kept close to Raven who cleaned out her bank account to go to South America. Grace insisted to Jody that Joe didn't know Billie Mae. Spencer convinced Damien that Raven had a breakdown. Gavin dislikes artist, Chad.

Dwight and Grace paid to have their art gallery robbed. Valerie left for Switzerland. Raven temporarily eluded Smiley. Gavin was suspicious when the Endicotts offered to pay Jody for her stolen painting.

Jinx died in Derek's arms. Hector and Jim searched for Smiley who is still after Raven. Grace was upset when Calvin recovered Jody's painting which Eddie's man should have burned. Sky learned that Jefferson caused the suicide death of Damien's father.

Valerie's former friend, Hazel Kirby Weston, told Sky that Valerie had dated Sky and Jefferson at the same time. Hector went after Smiley and Raven. Jim told Mike and Nancy about the scam. Raven realized crooked travel agent Wolfy Thome is after her money. Calvin crushed Didi's hopes with the news that Star is pregnant. Billie Mae's (a.k.a. Leonie) friend, Mrs. Ingersol, died after a mysterious fall. Nicole discovered the word "Eridu" on Jody's painting.

GENERAL HOSPITAL

Heather was livid to find Joe and Anne in a romantic clinch. Alan was jealous that Monica entertained Philipe. Robert kissed Jackie who realized David has "programmed" Laura T. Noah agreed to coach Johnny while Rick and Blackie searched for Packy's killer. Mike may have seen the assassin. Heather threatened to produce the missing page from the Newall file if Arthur didn't press charges against Anne.

Arthur admitted malpractice in Mrs. Newall's case to his lawyer, Judson Briggs. Heather panicked to learn Sy knows she's blackmailing Arthur. Alan and Edward plotted to split Philipe and Monica. Luke and Robert realized Mel and David are after something in the Malkuth exhibit.

David strangled Mel, then went to the museum where Luke and Robert were waiting for him. David put a bomb in a carved dog he gave Laura T. Alan sent Susan on a cruise, then bungled a romantic night with Monica. Packy is still alive.

Scotty forced Heather to aid Anne. Anne's job was saved and Arthur fired when Heather produced the missing Newall page at Anne's hearing. Packy hid out with his sister, Delores. Someone followed Rick after he learned that Johnny's previous boxing match might have been rigged and that Packy's wife died shortly thereafter. David and a gang of masked men stole a helmet from the Malkuth exhibit but Luke has the Sword of Ishkandar. Luke and Robert learned David's heist was part of a plot to overthrow the Malkuth government. Jackie threw David's bomb off the Haunted Star. Alan rendezvoused with Susan in St. Thomas.

GUIDING LIGHT

Lucian was killed and Wayne arrested when Ivy and Mike saved Alan who was paroled. Carrie didn't remember trying to seduce Justin who saw her back in Springfield. Ivy and Mike searched for the third person in Alan's kidnapping.

Amanda agreed to Alan's request that she stay on president of Spaulding. Quint worked with Nola in New York and was upset that Alan was pardoned. Carrie insisted to Jackie that Justin had the hots for Carrie.

Sara hospitalized Carrie. Nola and Quint split New York after she photographed artifacts in Silas and Helena's laboratory.

Jackie jetted to Chicago with Samantha after Carrie threatened to tell Phillip who his real parents are. Justin threatened to tell Ross about Carrie’s weird behavior. Ivy and Mike learned Wayne was fatally poisoned in prison. Ed dated Maureen. Tony slept with Vanessa, who realized he loves Hillary. Helena arrived in Springfield. Nola learned Quint's associate, Dr. Taylor, was murdered while identifying the artifacts she photographed. Amanda sent Ross to Chicago on business. Nola took Kelly Louise home.

ONE LIFE TO LIVE

Jenny and Marco teamed up to find Karen who was taken to Ivan's tropical refuge. Marco rescued Ed and Larry, who had surgery to correct Ivan's operations. Herb moved out when Dorian accused him of passing the Solarmite info to Asa while drunk. Cassie stood by Herb. Asa proposed to Mimi, who still loves Larry.

Asa was nearly blown up during his Solarmite extractor experiment. Larry walked out of the hospital and put his relationship with Mimi on hold until Karen is safe. Astrid and Karen failed to escape from Ivan.

Astrid talked Ivan out of operating Karen, who refused to marry him willingly. Jenny, Marco and Larry searched for Karen. Rafe told Samantha he loves her. Georgina said she'd marry Bo. Johnny was jealous that Becky has a top ten record. Daryl gave Clint his fake San Carlos story.

Carl hired Brad to spy on Bo and Georgina. Cassie failed to reconcile Herb and Dorian. Georgina went along with Bo's plans to go public with their idea for a Solarmite powered car. Pat disapproves of Tony's nomadic lifestyle and was shaken by Bo and Georgina's engagement. Dorian promoted Daryl's San Carlos expose on Pat's show but Edwina doubted that Daryl's story is true. Mimi reported to Bo that Paxton works for Carl. Daryl ignored his girl friend Trixie's feeling that he's headed for trouble.

RYAN’S HOPE

Joe and Siobhan celebrated their no-strings reconciliation in bed. Ox vowed to make good on the race track for Jane's sake. Jane devoted herself to her work to forget Roger. Kim planned to tranquilize Arley to get her past Rae's guards.

Kirk helped Rae cope with Arley and Kim's "kidnapping." Dee gleefully told Roger that Jane was seeing Ox again. Jill agreed to work with Kirk on his Riverside project.

Kim realized Orson plans to keep the ransom money for himself. Faith encouraged Roger to fight for Jack did not believe Kirk, who he didn't have Jane beaten up. Dee and Ox schemed to keep Roger and Jane apart.

Dee warned Jack that his stories against Kirk will push Kirk to take over the Crystal Palace. Kirk offered to help Rae and Seneca who ignored police advice and agreed to meet Orson's demands. Siobhan boasted to Maeve that she's convinced Joe is reformed and he's not pressuring her into an immediate resumption of their marriage, then a beam at Pat's clinic fell on Siobhan. Orson warned Kim to cooperate with him or she'd die.

SEARCH FOR TOMORROW

Dane agreed to search for Travis's father. Sunny checked out a New York job offer Ted went broke when Sunburst quit buying supplies from him. Brian agreed to a boxing match to repay Suzi's money which he invested with Ted.

Travis continually thwarted Aja's attempts to prolong her Sunburst research to save his life. Brian slept with Suzi, then entered the fight ring despite his aneurysm.

Brian was hospitalized after winning his boxing match. To get her money, Ted proposed to Janet. A starving woman, Jennifer Defcan stumbled into the Elbow Room. Sunny refused the New York job.

Martin advised Jo to pull her money out of Stu's riverboat deal. Suzi and Wendy befriended wealthy newcomer, Kristen Carter. Brian feared his blindness is permanent. Janet stalled giving Ted an answer to his marriage proposal. Liza's upset she's not pregnant. Martin vowed to give up gambling.

TEXAS

Ashley was upset that Justin asked T.J. to handle Gregory's adoption. Paige agreed to marry T.J. Grant spooned with Reena in Palm Springs while Brett encouraged Judith to divorce him. Joel and Lurlene got closer. Brett and Rikki tracked down Hannibal's hired man, Ralph Bailey.

Judith learned Reena agreed to sleep with Justin if she couldn't ruin his business. Mark and Brett found a copy of the Mayan statue they discovered at Hitopah. Nita and Billy Joe kept vigil over Junior who had swallowed poison.

To expose the men behind the Hitopah murders, Ruby agreed to sell the Fire Compass. Brett's college chum, photojournalist George St. John, arrived. Justin told T.J. to find out who Gregory's father was. Reena realized Striker is out to destroy Hunt. Reena and Grant suspected Judith is scheming against them.

Hannibal threatened to reveal Gregory's parentage if Ashley took her money out of his failing companies. Ruby and Judith schemed to let Grant know about Reena's "seduction" bet with Justin. Brett refused to live in sin with Rikki. Reena asked Hawker and Boots not to back Marshall Oil financially. T J. cautioned Paige about his parents' opposition to their marriage. At gunpoint, Hannibal demanded the Fire Compass from Ruby.

THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS

Leslie said she'd marry Lance. Luke agreed that Brooks should know Lance is his father. Nikki collapsed after her wedding to Kevin. Snapper left for London without Chris. Andy split when Jill stood him up to be with John. Jack told Patty he'd marry her. Carl got a vice squad job with Captain Alex Morgan, who's involved with racket boss, Pete Walker. Victor refused one last fling with Nikki before her marriage.

Rejected by Brooks, Lance called off his marriage to Leslie and left town. John renewed his interest in Jill. Nikki was upset that Carolyn returned. Lorie admitted investigating Victor's past instead of going to the Greek Isles.

Lorie worked on an expose of Victor and accepted a public relations job at Prehtiss, Inc. Mary was upset that Paul intends to become a cop. Jill ignored Andy to spend time with John. Kevin refused to bed Nikki, who's growing fond of him. Danny turned down Patty's wedding invitation. Leslie agreed to redecorate Lance's house for Robert and his daughter, Angela. Working for Pete, Pam Warren was arrested on a drug charge.
