How great would it be to have Mia back at AMC? Right now, she would have so much sl potential with both Jake and Frankie back on the canvas. I would love to see what Angie's reaction would be to learning that Frankie had a child with Liza's sister. It would also give her ties with Colby and the Chandler crowd. FUSION is now under new management with Erica. Maybe Mia comes back to claim what she sees as hers w/ all the former founders out of commission.

We all know Amelia Heinle is unavailable, but I doubt the role of Mia would be a controversial recast. There are a lot of ladies on the canvas now too.

A side note about Amelia on Y&R, what is she doing with her hair and who should I call to make mine look like hers? Her hair went through so many unhealthy phases at AMC. She looks like a hair model now on Y&R. The darker hair suits her so much better. It flows so naturally now. I wonder if she has extensions. Her look beats out even Vail Bloom!

They would need one hell of an actress to reinvent the character of Mia. For a poorly conceived character, she did end up having substantial ties to the canvas.

Relationships with: Ryan Lavery, David Hayward (under Adam's orders), Jake Martin, Frankie Hubbard, Edmund Grey, and Aidan Devane.

Her child with Frankie, William, who was adopted out to some undetermined family, is a common grandchild for Angie and nephew for Liza, and Angie/Liza always had a rocky history, but it only is worth it if Liza's back on the canvas. Mia's only other blood link left on the canvas is Colby.

She is a co-founder of Fusion with ties to Kendall and Greenlee, and a bond with Marian & Stuart.

It seems that despite all those connections, Mia was a very minimized, ill-defined character, and Heinle's forgettable tenure did little to make Mia's mark on Pine Valley. In the hands of a bolder actress, perhaps a Gina Tognoni, or an Amy Van Horne (how I miss her!), would light the character on fire. But I think a lot of Mia's significance and relevance relies on whether Liza is a part of the canvas as well.

Mia was a HORRIBLE character. She certainly does not need to return. The only potential a return for her that could be interesting would be to explore her son angle with Frankie but AMC screwed things up by deaging Frankie back to 25. Based on his last appearance and what the established history between him and Mia, their son should be about 17-18 right now. I thought Dre could have worked as him and thought he was going to be revealed to be him back when I heard the Hubbards were returning. But of course the casting with Frankie is way off. He cant be the father of someone in their teens. Even if they go and deSORAS the kid, they would have to do the same with Mia to keep things consistent. They made a mess of things here

    • yes. today Monday's episode started with words displayed "part 1" and ended with "to be continued"
    • I find Missy Reeve's views offensive and I don't want to defend her, but I don't think she ever said anything publicly about Days "gay content".   In fact, I don't think she's ever said anything negative about Days at all.  There's no indication Missy is difficult or unprofessional on set-except for the whole affair thing years ago lol-but that's a whole different topic. I can dislike Missy as a person and still think she's the perfect fit for Jen.  Cady tried and it didn't work for me.  Whenever Missy steps into the role it works.  It's a two things can be true situation.  Missy has some bad opinions, but she's great at playing Jennifer.
    • Doesn't the funeral go into Tuesday
    • Christian Streaty wrote her second freelance script today on Days. Surprised they gave the first funeral episode to a newbie.
    • And the third thing, which I have no cite for, and I may look to see if one is findable, but supposedly she said that the show had too much gay content in it. And, to be fair, that could be someone making a criticism about balance & not be bigotry but when it's added to the other, that's why it bugs people.

The greatest tv series season finale in history.
    • Mick Savage was sooo unbearable. And more unbearable was the reaction from the female characters to him - they were acting like he is God's gift to women and sooo irresistible. To a point of unbelievable cringe.
    • Today was a short one. Only 33 minutes.  The ‘Part One’ graphic at the beginning was pretty interesting though. I didn’t expect them to do something like that.  I like how everything was focused around John and his family and friends. Again, the acting and the dialogue was very well done and well written. And I love that they were able to incorporate Drake’s, “swing for the fences” phrase into the script. It was nice seeing everyone interact with each other, especially characters who don’t often share scenes together. It felt like every character was part of a big family or community. Plus, an outdoor funeral in June makes a lot more sense than an outdoor funeral in December.  But yeah, it’s very, very strange that Will isn’t at the funeral, especially since we know that

I would much rather he had been there today. And, where’s Anna too? And Jack and Jennifer? What was the point of bringing them all back if they weren’t going to attend the funeral? I expected Steve to want to close down BlackPatch, though I’d rather he just retire and let Paul take it over. But I like that Kayla was there to comfort him. I wonder if he’s going to change his mind at some point.  It was nice seeing Shane again too. Now, he just needs to have more scenes with his son lol but I enjoyed seeing him comfort Marlena. I’m not really sure about his interaction with Cat though? Was it really necessary for this to happen now, at John’s funeral? They could’ve waited a little longer to introduce this story arc.  Btw, was Tate bleeding from his head in his first scene with Arianna?
    • This is the coldest early June in my life. It's like it's January.
