Members cct
KMart has been in trouble for a long long time. They tried to update their image a few years back with the Super K and the new blue light icon guy (very cute), but they are still struggling. In my area, K-Mart used to be one of the only discount retails. Then about 15 years ago, we got our first Wal-Mart. Then a couple years later, Target had their image makeover and expanded. Finally, Walmarts started proliferating like bunnies. My Kmart is rarely busy and many are quite unorganized and not clean. It is a last-ditch option for me and mine. HOWEVER, you are not the first person who has told me they loved their job at Kmart. Wonder why that is?
Members JackPeyton
yeah, K-Mart has hella issues. The one i worked at did really well tho, always in the top of the area. I personally love kmart, the stuff isnt as crappy as walmart, but not as much as target. As for it being my fave job, it was fun. They were laid back and as long as you were there on time, or called, and did your jonb they didnt much care about taking more than thw 2 breaks, or a few of you going lunch at once as long as everything was coverd. they treated us like humas, not robots. and my heath care at kmart was great as well. i was there when they bought sears up, and i actually worked in the new sears appliance center in the kmart. its was amazing. the only reason i left was i had enough saved up not to work for 6 months and decided to party it up with friends. Members EricaKane70
I went to Linens and things this past weekend and was shocked to find that their closeout sales numbers were 10-30% off, are they serious? Most of the items were like 10% for the most part, I just don't understand, even when they are going under they won't budge on their prices. Its funny because Kohls was having a pre-holiday sale of 50-60% off, they are just 5 minutes away from L & T what gives? None of the stuff they were trying to push off in their aisle looked touched either, it pretty much was a store full of customers that just looked at the price and walked away. I refuse to buy anything until they go to 50% off of their products. If you are going to have a close out you need to do it right.
Members JackPeyton
Its because they can sell off almost everything to big lots, pic n save, ross, etc...
Members bandbfan
And they might as well try to get as much as they can. I'd expect things to drop as time goes on.
