AMC Was Erica in Llanview?

A 1983 episode of AMC was just put on youtube, and in it Erica is hiding out with a Mrs Whelan because she's wanted for murder of Kent Bogard I think--anyway at 3:00 the lady says "You told me you don;'t live in Llanview". Was Erica meant to be hiding in Llanview? Was Mrs Whelan ever a character on OLTL?

And I just watched part 5 when Cliff Warner's maid/nanny is going to visit Mrs Whelan, her sister in Llanview (apparantly it's a VERY short car trip as she only ahs a few hours) -- odd. Did Erica appear on OLTl as a crossover at all? it seems strange they wouldn't just use Center City or something

I don't think so Eric. I remember watching that too but I don't recall any crossover, at least one that was promoted.

No, she never crossed over to OLTL, not even during the baby switch. Speaking of which, the baby switch kinda ruined the fun of crossovers for me, it was overkill. It would be nice to hear someone casually mention Corinth just for nostalgia sake. Joey Buchanan (Nathan Fillion) mentioned Corinth once, and Nora mentioned Erica Kane over in Pine Valley. On Loving, it was said that Erica called Gwyn when Jeremy was murdered (by Gwyn no less), but on an earlier ep, Deborah was excited about her foray into modeling at a later age saying she'd be just like "Erica Kane on All My Children!" So they sort of screwed with the soap universe here and there.

I thought they did mention Corinth once since Loving was canceled on AMC. I love when they mention the other Agnes soap town names as well (and when they mention Center City or "C" City tho it seems only AMC does anymore)

Once they mentioned that the Alden Mansion, Chandler Mansion and Llanfair were all designed by the same architect--who liked hidden rooms. I like the smaller crossovers too--and it was the week long AMC/Loving crossover with Carter Jones (I wish that was on youtube) that got me hooked on Lovin back in 92 but I agree the babyswitch crossover went on too long and didn't quite work for me.

The City screwed up some too--Molly auditioned for her fave soaps OLTL and AMC while in New York--yet Angie came from Pine Valley, Jack made an appearance to escort Sydney away, and Alex from City in its last months helped Bo find Antonio on OLTL

(of course GH has also had crossovers with the other soaps--besides Rae--you had Anna and all that between AMC, Ian on Port Charles was meant to be Patrick Thornheart's twin bro from OLTL although I don't think OLTL has ever mentioned, especially now Ian's a vamp, etc)

In the alstest 1983 youtube episode up from a month later Erica is still in Llanview but had just gone to Kent's funeral as a nun so now the boarding house lady thinks she's one...

I guess Erica stayed in Llanview a while--
