One Minor Mistake.

In OLTL Brian Kerwin who plays Charlie was nominated this year for Supporting Actor

I'll throw in a couple of AMC fun facts. It nabbed supporting actress wins four years in a row....in 87 for Kathleen Noone, 88 for Ellen Wheeler, 89 for Debbi Morgan (tying with Nancy Grahn), and 90 for Julia Barr. Barr joked at the time that winning this award was the kiss of death and wasn't sure what it meant for her, since Noone, Wheeler, and Morgan saw their airtime dwindle and left the show soon after their wins.

Francesca James has won acting (supporting actress circa 1980), directing, and best show wins during her various times with AMC.

^Julia Barr also holds the record as the only actress to win in the Supporting category twice, more than anyone else. If Gina Tognoni wins this year, she'll tie Barr.

Can anyone think of any actors who have WON Emmys for at least 2 different roles on different shows? Cady McClain (AMC & ATWT), Ellen Wheeler (AMC & AW), and John Wesley Shipp (ATWT & SB) come first to mind. Can anyone think of any others?

Justin Deas holds the record for most Emmy's won (tied with Erika Slezak). However, unlike Slezak, they were for various roles. His first win was a Supporting Actor Emmy for his stint on ATWT, he then won TWO Supporting Actor Emmy's for his stint on Santa Barbara, next he won a Supporting Actor Emmy for his role as Buzz on GL in 1994, in 1995 he won LEAD Actor for GL, and then he won Lead Actor once more in 1997 for GL.

Let's add three more fun facts for AMC:

Michael E. Knight (Tad) has won in both Younger Actor (1986 and 1987) and Supporting Actor (2001)

Darnell Williams (Jesse) won in both Supporting Actor (1983) and Lead Actor (1985)

Dorothy Lyman (ex Opal) won in both Supporting Actress (1982) and Lead Actress (1983)
