It depends on the show, Kubla Khan.

That's how it works with GL, because the script-writing team are all experienced breakdown writers. So they understand the finer points of structuring an episode.

At Days, most of the script writing team has NO breakdown experience. So there is still a sort of "breakdown" being written that looks MUCH more like a usual breakdown than GL's do.

ATWT still has breakdowns, definitely. They're all being written by the head-writing team. (Brash, Levinson and Connor are all writing scripts now)

Not sure how AMC is doing it.
