I will most definitely be recording this! Flower was awesome!

After the snake bite - Flower did not die right then, she lingered for awhile, the other Whiskers went out to get food- while they were gone - Flower passed away and the researchers took her body away, so the family doesn't know she died, just that she is not there anymore and her mate Zaphod wasn't roving for female meerkats he has been searching for Flower.

Oh, man. That's awful. I can't believe they tried to spin it and make it appear as though Zaphod was looking for some action. That's really terrible.

I don't know why researchers took Flower's body away, maybe they thought there might be problems with the family if they took her away when they were there.

There is good word about the Meerkat Manor movie that will be shown on Animal Planet 5/25 - those who have seen it love it and say have the kleenex ready and the photography is amazing.

The MM movie will be shown again on AP 5/30 and also there will be a special about the researchers who have been researching meerkats since 1993.

Thanks for the update on the Meerkat special. Am looking forward to it, but not to Flower dying again. :

The wait is almost over - will finally get to see Flower's movie tonight and for tonight the channel could be called Flower's Place.

Liked the MM movie, but thought there were way too many commercial breaks - would have like to have seen the whole movie without the interruptions - liked seeing Flower as a pup growing up and into a leader - also like the hint at the end that there may be a Shakespeare movie.

Really good movie. Loved seeing Flower as a baby and also seeing how she became dominate female as I didn't start watching Meerkat Manner until last summer It was very interesting to see how they film the Meerkats.They get so close! Am looking forward to the new season. I really appreciate all the info you supply DAMfan.
