I wish I could take everything I love about McCain, everything I love about Obama and put them into one person.

And the you would have Martin Sheen in The West Wing.

2. Vice Presidential Debate – Date: October 2nd – Site: Washington University (St. Louis) – Moderator: Gwen Ifill – Staging/Answer Format: To be resolved after both parties’ Vice Presidential nominees are selected.

3. Second Presidential Debate – Date: October 7 – Site: Belmont University – Moderator: Tom Brokaw – Staging: Town Hall debate – Format: The moderator will call on members of the audience (and draw questions from the internet). Each candidate will have 2 minutes to respond to each question. Following those initial answers, the moderator will invite the candidates to respond to the previous answers, for a total of 1 minute, ensuring that both candidates receive an equal amount of time to comment. In the spirit of the Town Hall, all questions will come from the audience (or internet), and not the moderator.

4. Third Presidential Debate – Date: October 15 – Site: Hofstra University – Topic: Domestic and Economic policy – Moderator: Bob Schieffer – Staging: Candidates will be seated at a table – Answer Format: Same as First Presidential Debate – Closing Statements: At the end of this debate (only) each candidate shall have the opportunity for a 90 second closing statement.

And maybe the people who post this crap and start this in the first place will remember that.

And IMO, find out who is legal or who isn't, and ship them back home. Ok? :)

You are running a very thin line with me Roman. Keep up the personal attacks and I will let a moderator know. I have tried to talk about issues, and when they are ignored I bring up pop-culture to try to get people discussing again. Check back to my post from a few minutes ago. I was asking about Obama's millitary plans, tax plan, and abortion. They are still going unanswered and rather your personal comments continue. Could we please get back to the purpose of this thread??? Please?

I never thought of it that way. At one point I would have wanted them to share more of my positions but I'm over that as well.

I think anyone who enters the country illegally should be deported, even if they have children born here. If people in the U.S. don't want to do the work that they pay slave wages to the illegals to do then they ought not complain about their country being taken over by immigrants. Obviously something needs to be done about wages in relation to field workers such as grape pickers.

I am stuck when it comes to people who entered the country on a visa and stay after the visa expires only because I have family members who've done that. But when they get on my nerves I may agree that they should be deported as well......although mine stuck around long enough to be legalized.

I saw McCain on CNN's MLK anniversary coverage, standing there in front of those people in the rain saying he made a mistake in not voting for the holiday. Now had he said that he didn't find it fiscally sound or had he offered up some sort of a reason, I might get it but he's quite lame on the issue. He really has no excuse but now MLK was a great man.......right.:lol::lol:

I heard a great point brought up the other day. You know Obama likes to point out that the average income has gone down under Bush in relation to Clinton? I cant remember who said it, but they pointed out that during Bush's admin. he had an influx of 10,000,000 immigrants that brought down income.

You know what......thank you. I think the effort to redirect the media to the issues is becoming too much of a regular event for Obama at this point. He hasn't been the one playing the games but he keeps getting sucked into them. I give him a lot of credit for being able to deal with this sort of thing. He seems to be a very focused individual. At least this is one tangible aspect of change he is about.

At the time, he did say he did not find it fiscally sound. Now, he didn't seem to worry about his vote until after he became the Republican nominee for POTUS. The timing is very, very suspect. But I don't know this man perosnally so I can't speak to his motives.

Other than Native Americans, we all are decendents of immigrants. Every last one of us, even though many of us were born here. I have never had any problem with someone coming here legally and having the same opprotunities I was born into. But, to come here illegally and then stay here illegally just makes me feel that they should be sent back home. The question is......how do you send 12 million people back to their homeland?

I recorded that this morning. He seemed pissed that the MSM is spending more time on this bullshit than on the issues. And there were some on MSNBC who spent their segment time blasting the media for blowing this up.

This is how he needs to respond from here until November 4th.

IMO, in this case he brought it on himself. I dont think the media made him comment on "pigs" and "lipstick". No matter what he meant, he should have the wherewithal to understand the implications of a comment like that.

But I still applaud him for not wallering in it. He just wants to move on.

In the effort to give a Republican view point on the MLK issue, I will try to explain.

No matter what the new Holiday being voted on, for the most part, Republicans side against it. The outlook of Republicans has long been one of lessening federal mandates whether they be holidays, taxes, or government programs. I dont think McCain's vote was racially motivated.
