I was wondering what people here predict will happen with Gary Tomin now? Will he go back to being a script writer at OLTL (hard to believe given what Carlivati has said about his material). Did Frons promise him a job in return for his service during the strike or he will he slink off into the darkness?

I can only see him maybe being a director for OLTL.

Didn't Lorraine Broderick write the Kim heart surgery scenes? Or did she take over the reins later on.

Broderick's stuff started airing on ATWT during March 1998, Kim's heart surgery was in December of 1997 when Demorest, Walsh, and Brez were interim Co-HW's.

I have Demorest/Walsh/Brez as interim Co-HWs when Stern/Black were fired in 1996.

So when Jessica Klein left in October 1997 (behind the scenes; not on air credits), Demorest/Walsh/Brez took over as interim Co-HWs again?

And since Jessica left in late October 1997, her material should've still been airing in December 1997.

Yes, Walsh/Demorest/Brez were interim HWs after Black/Stern AND after Klein too.

WoST has the closing credits for Kim's open heart surgery and Walsh/Demorest/Brez were listed. I'll log on there and see if I can send them your way, Toups. :)

You're right that JK's firing was announced in late October 1997 (I remember it WELL, it was NUTS, LOL. Broderick fired, Malone fired, Klein fired, McTavish re-hired all in one week!)

But, I think JK had left weeks before it was announced. It happens sometimes. Richard Culliton was fired from AMC weeks before ABC confirmed it, for example.

Yes, those thee were interim Co-HW's twice, and only a year apart.

Many sources list Demorest, Walsh, Brez as taking over in late 1997, since Kim's heart surgery was in December 1997, that should've been their stuff. If Borderick's material started in March 1998, she should've officially started in January or so then.

Oooh, thanks for the clarification, I knew I wasn't crazy for thinking Kim's surgery was during the transition from Klein to Broderick.

Ahh....so they were interim HWs TWICE within a year? LOL

So Jessica's material was on air only less than 2 months after she left? Wow, that's really fast.

I have these credits from 1997: one's from June 16 and the other is from an unknown date from 1997. I think I got the unknown credits of WoST but I don't remember.

Toups, the first set of credits are from December 1997 (Kim's open heart surgery). Those are the same set from WoST.

Okay, thanks KK.

Is there an exact date for that episode? If not, the episdoe aired in late December 1997?

So here's the updated History of HWs:

1996 - 1997

Stephen Demorest, Mel Brez, Addie Walsh (Interim Co-Head Writers)

May 1997 - Late October 1997

Jessica Klein

Late October 1997 - January 1998

Stephen Demorest, Mel Brez, Addie Walsh (Interim Co-Head Writers)

January 1998 to June 1999

Lorraine Broderick

Of course the months are for behind the scenes and not for on air credits.

I probably was mid-December? It was before Christmas.

That list looks accurate.

Mid December? Okay, thanks!

What the hell??

I thought Anthony Morina held the Supervising Producer position, don't tell me there's two supervising producers now?

Or could Morina be on his way out?
