Another great show today.

Loved Viki and Charlie and its interesting to watch his story unfolding and how Viki is right there with him. Great story, and I can't wait to see what happens next between the two.

Nora and Clint were fun to watch. I really enjoy that they have brought Nora's humor back.

Enjoyed the Buch's around the fire.

David is always a joy to watch.

Wonder if Blair and Todd run into Viki at the diner, going to be fun to watch.

After mon/tues/wed/thursday's near perfect shows, Fridays show was a little slow for me but was good.

My favorites were,

Viki finding out about Charlie being an alcoholic, I also did not expect that to be the reason for him only telling her his last name starts with "B". Do alcoholics really have to earn earn their last name back, just wondering?

The Buchannon ranch stuff was good again. RC has made Jessica and Nash more interesting, I like their marriage right now. Natalie/JAred/Chuck/Sara were also good. Looks like Jared did not like the man he was before and from what he told Natalie, he is trying to change, could he be Gigi's ex?

Did not think I would enjoy Nora and Clint but they were cute today. Nora getting on the horse saddle backwards and then pointing to Clint when he said she was facing the horses behind was hillarious. Comedy has been SO good on OLTL s/ls lately!

I agree with another poster, how did Marty know she was in Ireland??lol I really thought those scenes were pointless and could have been left out.

Although I do enjoy the Paris, TX storyline today was missing something in the form of Gigi. I enjoy when the character is on and interacts with the other Paris Crew. I thought the whole pie thing was dumb but it seems that it is leading to something bigger for Thanksgiving so I will forgive the writers for that one right now.

    • One of the dumbest situations (Lando) ever. What audience member is going to invest in a storyline with a recast they don't like and a triangle where one character is short-term? It bombed as it should have done. So much of JFP's tenure just reeks of desperation. I don't get how someone could produce SB (which did have flaws but was often brilliant) but make so many terrible mistakes at GL.   I still think JFP would have worked better as a director and music supervisor. Her music work at SB was top notch.  It just seems that Rea was minimized during JFP's tenure because I can't imagine her okaying so many of these casting choices.

    • We see the same with GH, where Mark Teschner, the casting director, reportedly has less say since Frank Valentini took over. Some producers want to take over every aspect of their shows.  I think Lando may have been a CBS push.
    • No idea but she won Emmys & she was the Casting Director at the same time for both ATWT & GL. She hired Lisa Brown with no job for her. Then Marland made Brown his muse so he created both Iva & Nola for her. But, I think we know that Jill does what Jill wants.
    • I did notice a decline in the quality of the performers being cast once Betty R vacated/retired from her position. We would have been spared from the nightmares of some of the castings that dominated the show in the last decade or so of the soap. JFP was an example of someone, no matter the gender, who had no business being in the position they were in.
    • If Betty Rea was the casting director, why was so much of GL during JFP's reign cast by her? Walker, Deas, Crampton, Lando, etc. JFP takes credit for Dusay as well. What is the point of having a casting director, if you don't let her do her job? What happened when Rea left?
    • So much on here slips my mind but this is the first I remember hearing of Peterson's passing. Very sad. Nell was a thankless role, clearly set up for a cheating storyline with Frank, but Peterson did her best.  Betty Rea Rea was the casting director for the soap opera “Guiding Light” from 1970 to 1996 and simultaneously the casting director for “As the World Turns” from 1979 to 1983.
    • Sorry, just one more post on the Thorntons. How did Ruth and Edna feel about each other prior to Tad dating Dotty?
    • I can't remember exactly but I think it may be 1995 as Jake was trying to hide from a loan shark.
