Ryan's Dragon

Yep you heard it here! Ryan is going to huff, he will puff, he will stuff, he will snuggle up, and he will blow down Greenlee's jail cell! Yep we get more threats from his holiness as if he is some good ole busyhobody patron saint who can do no wrong while he is out to get Greenlee for doing poor Spike a favor and making him deaf so he does not have to hear the sh*t that comes out of his holiness' mouth. Too bad Ryan is easily forgetting that Spike WILL HEAR AGAIN when he gets the cochlear implant. Sheesh and to think that he can just go after someone when he has yet to take any responsibility for the crap that he has done like treating Kendall like dirt, f@king his death, nearly getting himself killed in a stupid fight club (Brad Pitt should ask for extra money for AMC's lame takeoff tale of the hit film), stringing up Ritchie as if he is some John Wayne on steroids, and finally let's not forget tying up Greenlee years ago to prevent her from going after Yawn Pablo! Good lord that is just a nice string of crimes from the person who everyone considers God and one would think he would be perfect but to do so would mean to not commit any crimes and his holiness has a long rap sheet...certainly longer than his teenie weenie although I am not one to inspect. I just go by what the Weenie Fairy says and the look of things shows this is not something to be proud of and hence for Christmas St. Ryan can use a weenie enlarger....buy two, get one free kind of like the deal Ryan offers on the street corner. Heck Ryan should own a 7/11 Store right now since he pretty much is one by being on every street corner and always open for business whether it be being a ConHo for which he is an expert or to play HIGH H0 HERO of the day! So now it looks like he will not be doing the dirty work against Greenlee but he will invent a nice little dragon to do it all since they just do more damage, didn't ya know? I just wonder what other magical talents we have yet to see from anyone involved with Ryan....could it be being able to build up a deficit three times as big as President Butthead? Or could he be able to get autographs of Zsa Zsa Gabor, Liz Taylor, and Erica Kane's husbands? Wow who knows what he is capable of but we all know St. Ryan can do it all but now he might need some help and take a breather. As for now, I will just sit back and hope one day this pimping charade comes to an end and maybe give my typing fingers a rest. But you know the odds of that happening are as much as us becoming allied with the French again so you can just forget it. Ryan will still be a wannabe Saint with everybody worshipping at his altar whereas the fans just get to hit the snooze button and go to sleep as he bores us to tears just like he has for four plus years now. Heck Ryan is probably so stupid he could not do the job of Judge Judy's bailiff, which all it does count for is submitting documents to the lady, every once in a blue moon telling litigants to shut up, and that pretty much is it. Not much work required there and it comes with a hefty salary...but then again, Ryan already makes a crapload of money by invading a corporation and acting as if he is some Bill Gates who will do wonders with it. Just the unthinkable happens in Ryan's Valley and it smells worse than Roseanne Bar farting out the alphabet!

    • The thought has crossed my mind. Tricia Mann-Grant did say in her EW interview w/ MVJ and DD, that Leslie wants to be a Dupree just as bad as she wants Eva to be. I believe now that's the direction they are going in, that maybe she is just obsessed with the family. I could be wrong though.
    • True. But I have always had mixed feelings about that twist. Since I love the Damian storyline which already had twists and turns. Also I could not wait for a new powerful AND BLACK businessman to mix it up at some point with Victor. It just seem like another twist that was added on for twist sake. And also for a character (whether I love him or not) to hijack a new and refreshing storyline so they can be propped.    Once good thing that I can say about JG is that he loves to keep the Abbotts in rotation. So I could see that happening with Diane. I don't think she has mentioned her backstory, either. I would be intrigued.
    • That's how I feel. Beats could have been played for the past couple months wherein Dante and Gio interacted and had a difference of opinion -- or something. I don't know. I do know that this crushing rant that blames everything on Gio is absurd. -- Reading over all the comments here about characters and couples, it's kind of amazing that we have any show left considering the number of times actors and writers and execs were given influence to make major character and story decisions. Too many cooks in the kitchen.
    • Lol. But Jeffrey was weak to mama. Leslie can go dead because anger is a great motivator via Martin defending HIS mama and just not taking ish altogether. This ain't how it should be. They need not run the show like this. It's too noticeable. The way Eva said mama reminded me of Penny from Good Times. Instead of physical abuse it's mental abuse.
    • Oh, I see! You posted this on the general retro soap thread because of the voiceover.
    • Yeah, I agree. It's part of the reason I have shade picked on Martin's Secret being so on the backburner that it was about to fall off of it. With Dani/Bill/Hayley being the main tale to start us off and backburned and the SilkPress storyline being well paced, but not set to explode until May, Martin's Secret was the other main storyline that could have been developed. And after giving it a nice slow burn to start off, the story upped and vanished in Month 2. That left the show having to rely on mostly B/C stories to stay afloat to various degrees of success.
    • I loved those scenes, lol. I thought I was watching a stage play. But I do hear what you're saying.
    • Jason47's episode summaries clarify everything. https://daytimeroyaltyonline.com/days-daily-summaries-1990-1999-t14806-s150.html The construction company is "AJ Construction" (AJ = Adrienne+Justin).   Jencon Oil was building an oil refinery at the construction site.  This was adjacent to the park. Kirk Geiger played the character Chad Webster. The character Chad was an actor in the movie being made.   The child friend with Shawn-Douglas is his cousin Andrew Donovan. A few episodes prior, Andrew and Shawn-Douglas were at the park playing hide-and-seek. They wandered off where they shouldn't have gone, by slipping through the gate onto the construction site.  Shawn-D fell into the hole at the oil refinery. There were several episodes of trying to rescue Shawn-D.  Finally Carly rescued Shawn-D, but he was discovered to be deaf.  Andrew felt bad, but Bo and Shane both understood that it was an accident.  Carly later taught Shawn-D sign language. Shawn-D was played by Scott Groff. Andrew was played by Bradley Michael Pierce. pics here: https://web.archive.org/web/20070404163013/http://www.childrenofsalem.com/days/kids/shawnandrew/shawnandrew.html Larger context here: https://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.htmlhttps://web.archive.org/web/20080614054207/http://www.bethsdayspage.com/days/riverfrontraider.html
    • I had a situation last week where I could watch the new episode on Paramount Plus on my laptop, but it wasn't even listed on my TV as an option.
