k, I just watched Monday's episode. It's blah and seemed more like a filler episode, but I guess it's to be expected. Tomorrow's episode, which looks more interesting, was pushed back from airing today due to the pre-emption.

ETA: Valerie's playing mind games with Chad. I have to wonder if she held a grudge because he never loved her...

Here is my theory and I am sticking with it until the day when we are going to find out who is the blackmailer and the reason how he is involved in the attacks:

Unless I seen them one scene together in the future episodes, I concluded that Valerie and Vincent are the same person. I was certained the opportunity to see them together was last week was during their fighting scene but I noticed the strange thing about it was when they argued their voices never overlapped like people would when they argued and for Vincent beated her up and jumped her, Valerie's hair wasnt messy and she have little bruises. But the question is which one is fake which one is real? Yep Tabitha hinted the blackmailer is a mortal and one person. Valerie could be real because she had more senority than Vincent, plus she had a hard life from what I am hearing mentioned her family was poor and her father had no benefits once he retired from the Cranes, and also she vaguely told Fancy that someone she love was wrongly accused.

Vincent could be real because he is getting more storylines than the three years Valerie been on Passions, and also the residents who seen half man/half woman, Tabitha's predictation, and NBC hinted the blackmailer is a male. Also Vincent blackmailed Chad and also tried to kill Whitney is hinted those are the same things the blackmailer are capable doing. The question is if he Evian son is still debatable I am 50 percent sure it is him or 50 percent sure it is Spike. But I am 100 percent sure it is one of the two men.

Why I think that Vincent/Valerie are the culprit?

The frog clue and plus the gifts that Theresa received all tied together to secrets that Harmony residents have that the blackmailer knows about.

I am 90 percent that Vincent is behind all the attacks and someone will take him down once learned he is the blackmailer. I also predicted that once Harmony going to find out Chad and Vincent affair thanks to witnesses of Theresa and Whitney, they can easily pinned his murdered on Chad as Chad might standing over Vincent's dead body. Whitney witnessed too how Chad is very threatening at Vincent. but I am hoping that at least us viewers will know who is the blackmailer by the sweeps ends and during the summer months Harmony residents will figure out who is the blackmailer so that gives Vincent time to stick around close to the finale. On the other hand after I read Liza's interview how they are sort of rushing with her captive scenes, Im thinking that they are trying to wrapped the blackmailer storyline up before the end of the May sweeps.

Isn't Whitney a hypocrite? She finds out Vincent is cheating on Valerie and just HAS to tell Val because of the diseases he could be exposing her to, and just because it's what a sista would do. But then, what happens when she KNOWS Ethan is about to penetrate Theresa -- Jared's WIFE?!!! NOTHING!!! That's what.

Oh, Whitney. I'm onto you, you double standard, favoritist BITCH.

DIE, you hag. DIE and be sent to Tabitha's basement!!

Oh, and Rion? If you need more proof that JER wants us to think Fox is evil ( and not root-for material) , look no farther than Fox's scene with Julian, how they LAUGHED and MOCKED death and Fox's portrayal of a dying man.

Ha, Miguel and Kay are sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo endgame.

This was the worst episode in weeks and I think it's good that this episode got pushed off of Friday due to the preemption because it was filler and almost a clone of Friday's show minus some new stuff with Fox/Kay/Jared/etc. This would've been a horrendous Friday episode. Thankfully, it was on a Monday and that lowers my expectations somewhat.

I liked Jared/Kay though. I saw some minor chemistry there. Fox and Julian were ok.

The rest was filler and I'm not even going to add to the speculation in this thread because I have said enough as it is. I am going to wait to see the rest of the week play out before making up any more theories. The rest of the week does sound much better though. One bad episode in the past 4-5 weeks isn't bad at all really.

"Passions" usually puts characters together for a reason, Phoenix, so I think you're onto something. Kay and Jared's scene was SO bizarre since they NEVER talk.

So here's what I think:

Migs, somehow, will reunite with Charity, which will bring the battle of good versus evil

Fox will be outed as a liar and a very healthy man -- and somehow, will get his sweet comeuppance for mocking death: DEATH!

Kay and Jared will end up together.

(Alternate: Fox doesn't die, but he ends up with Gwen; since Ethan MUST end with Theresa).

Poor Whit. She's on her own. Or is she? I think Chad will be degayed. Some way.

This is the same thing me and several others said about Beth and you blasted us. I do think you are on to something but I still think it's more likely Pretty is the stalker and Beth is Sheridan.

Today's episode was world's better then Monday.

Love Ethan using his brain and sneaking up on the stalker to break through the wall.

Heidi Mueller did a good acting job today. Those were some good scenes.

Nice seeing Roscoe Born. Would love to see more of them.

Sheridan/Chris was good scenes and so was Sheridan/Luis. I did catch Sheridan's slip but I don't know what to make of it. It could be a writer's mistake too. I hope we get a Fancy/Sheridan face off tomarrow. I love those.

Ivy/Fancy was nice too. It's good to see Ivy interacting with her kids.

    • Now this strikes me as funny. I have it up on my acct. The thing is I only have S2. Didn't want either 1 or 3.  Perhaps I should just list all of these that I have up.  Parodies: Dirty Sexy Money, Filthy Rich Incomplete: The Monroes, All That Glitters, Falcon Crest (have all just not all up), Once & Again S2 only Complete: Models Inc, Pasadena, Pacific Palisades, Paper Dolls, Flamingo Road
    • This is wonderful! Thank you for posting this! I loved the first two seasons and never got to see the final season when they cancelled the DVD release. I've been hoping this popped up on streaming but no luck. Happy I'll finally get to see how it ended!

    • In case it is of interest to anyone here, I have digital copies (computer files, mp4 etc.) of all of the episodes. And, besides having the files they are all up on my usual video hosting site, acct name: shallotpeel, channel it is in: Primetime Soaps and file names like  Flamingo Road S1E15 Hurricane Flamingo Road was a primetime soap on NBC by Lorimar Productions. 2 seasons. 1980-1982. Morgan Fairchild, Barbara Rush. Developed by Rita Lakin.
    • Arguably DAYS OF OUR LIVES has been brilliant lately & definitely was last week. But, here I am with nitpick & technicalities. This was the only misstep but it was just a stupid thing that should have been caught. Deidre Hall as Marlena has this one problematic line, "It didn't matter how many identities you had, I always knew exactly who you were, you were the man who saved my life." - Marlena, DAYS, 6-2-25 Unfortunately the flashback closest to it was when Marlena was on the phone, terrified because she thought he was Stefano. Yes, it's true that the line is not accurate. There were many times when she did not feel the way she is claiming because of whatever was going on in story with his 'retconned to hell & back' identity & origin story. Does it keep the whole week from being called excellent? Nope.

    • I decided this primetime soap deserved it's own thread as the Primetime soaps thread is very cluttered and why shouldn't NBC's Lorimar soap mot have a chance to shine? In doing a deeper dive into the second season ratings I was surprised to see that FR actually had an uptick in the ratings when NBC moved it to 9pm Tuesdays beginning March 82. I'd always assumed this move was a desperate one as NBC were running short of programming and had given up on the show, deciding to let the final episodes play out and be hammered by 3's Company  and CBS Movie. But the numbers paint a different story. In it's 10pm slot up against Hart to Hart, which regularly finished in the Top 20, FL premiered in 53rd place and placed in the 40's and 50's as the season continued. But come January 82 the numbers surged a little now moving into the 40's hitting #43 in Feb. Hart to Hart was #11 Then in March Bret Maverick was moved to 8pm with FR @9. First week 16th March FR #47 15.1/24 3's Company #3 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #60 Not great but #2 in it's timeslot March 23 FR #44 15.6/25 3's Company #4 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #33 So even with a stronger movie on CBS FR's numbers went up. March 30 FR #31 16.6/26 3's Company #9 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #56 Best rating/position yet Tues April 6 pre empted Tues April 14 FR #36 16.0/26 3's Company #5 Too Close for Comfort #11 CBS Movie #59 Maintaining previous week's numbers Tues April 21 FR #33 15.6/24 3's Company #3 Too Close for Comfort #5 CBS Movie #60 Numbers down a little (reflecting general spring downturn) but best ranking of the season so far Tues April 28 FR #35 15.1/23 3's Company #9 Too Close for Comfort #6 CBS Movie #42 Tues May 4 FR #27 15.2/24 3's Company #5 Too Close for Comfort #4 CBS Movie #41 Season finale and highest position of the season. Looking at those numbers I wonder why NBC cancelled the show? They had very few hits and here was a show that was holding it's own and moving up in the rankings in a tougher timeslot. And being a serial, the storylines could continue to build the following season. And I'm sure the desirable W18-49 demo was good. Some might argue that CBS were shower weaker movies, but even so, soap viewers are pretty loyal. I guess Grant Tinker arrived at NBC and wanted a classier look but there was room for FR on the schedule. I mean, the following season Knight Rider,Powers of Matthew Star and the A Team arrived so there was still room for more populist fare. Flamingo could have stayed at 9pm-the replacement Gavilan bombed (surely FR would have done better} or moved back to 10pm. The following Jan NBC had a hit with A Team Tues 8pm. Had Flamingo followed it, it might have really taken off. As it was they tried Bare Essence, which flopped. Oh well,it was not to be...
    • Always, in every way, Cass/Wally/Felicia foundational to my viewing. And, I think if we look at the aftermath of the disastrous 90 minute show that we find too many pockets of some kind of lost time at the show plus way too much of change-ups in exec & writing leadership and of course we also reach the first time it becomes notable that NBC wants to get rid of the show so they can put a new soap they own in the timeslot.
