CBS Wins November With a Line-Up Consisting of 97% Regularly Scheduled Series -- the Most By Any Network in a Sweep in At Least 13 Years

CBS Wins Wednesday in Adults 18-49 For the First Time in a November Sweep Since People Meters

"CSI" Is November's Number One Scripted Series

"Criminal Minds" Achieves Series High Ratings in All Key Measures While "The Amazing Race 10," "CSI," "Shark," "CSI: Miami," "NCIS" and "60 Minutes" All Hit Season High Ratings Opposite Competitive Sweeps Programming

It's official! CBS won its sixth consecutive November sweep in viewers and fourth consecutive in adults 25-54, based on Nielsen Live Plus same-day ratings through Wednesday, Nov. 29. CBS also placed second in adults 18-49 (tie in rating with NBC, but ahead in adult 18-49 viewers 4.98m vs. 4.93m).

CBS's November victory was fueled nearly exclusively by the Network's hit series as 85 of 88 prime hours (97%) of the month's programming was comprised of regularly scheduled programs -- the most by a Network in a major sweep since at least 1993. CBS's only non-regularly scheduled programs were Sunday's "Hallmark Hall of Fame" presentation of CANDLES ON BAY STREET and one hour of election night coverage.

In November, CBS also had more programs in the top 30 among viewers (13), adults 18-49 (9) and adults 25-54 (13) than any other network.

CSI emerged as November's Number One scripted series with an average of 22.56 million viewers, finishing ahead of "Desperate Housewives" (22.33m) and time period rival "Grey's Anatomy" (21.74m), highlighted by CSI's Nov. 16 performance when it out-delivered the ABC series by more than three million viewers and narrowed the gap among adults 18-49 to just -0.7 of a rating point, the closest the two series have been all season.

Paced by JERICHO, CRIMINAL MINDS and CSI: NY, CBS won Wednesday in adults 18-49 for the first time in a November sweep since people meters (1987).

In a month of extremely competitive sweeps programming, CRIMINAL MINDS achieved series high ratings in all key measures (beating the highly promoted fall finale of "Lost"), while THE AMAZING RACE 10, CSI, SHARK, CSI: MIAMI, NCIS and 60 MINUTES all hit season high ratings in viewers and/or key demographics. Additionally, SURVIVOR: COOK ISLANDS topped time period rival "Ugly Betty" in viewers and key demographics in all four head-to-head match-ups during November.

CBS's sophomore series also played a part in the Network's November victory. In addition to CRIMINAL MINDS, the Network also received time period winning performances from second-year series GHOST WHISPERER and CLOSE TO HOME and solid ratings from HOW I MET YOUR MOTHER and THE NEW ADVENTURES OF OLD CHRISTINE, both airing in very competitive Monday time periods.

    • I had a situation last week where I could watch the new episode on Paramount Plus on my laptop, but it wasn't even listed on my TV as an option.

    • I'm trying to think whether AW had anything remotely resembling that once Steve was killed off and Alice left a widow. So many young love stories were wrapped up either by marrying and leaving town or marrying and killing off one party. Maybe they acted in the final year as if Vicky and Jake had been that couple all along, but they both had better other mates along the way and also Jake was actively hostile to Vicky at too many points without any subtext of caring about her.

️, so all the more time to watch/rewatch these past three scorching episodes. What were some of your favorite moments? @beyondthegatescbs
    • Beth Ehlers thanked Beth Chamberlain by name from the mic saying she was THE BEST person to be in a triangle with.  Generally speaking I loved Judi's Beth but then also strongly liked BethC's Beth but I did not like the whole Lorelei stage!!!
    • Yep, it seemed temporary, lasted 3-5 minutes, then BACK! Yea.  Thanks.
    • Oh but those "Pharleys" were very adamant that they stay together and be featured everyday (though I did like their websites and the recaps they gave each day.) I agree, they were interesting at first, but the longer it went on the more Harley became this sad sack jealous wife, the more Phillip became a dumb Josh type character torn between two women and the more Beth became a pathetic looser chasing her ex.   I think after Beth came back it would have been an interesting triangle of three "good" people trying to find a way, and I did like the "Who killed Carl" and how Harley and Beth had to work together there, but we all know Phillip would have dumped Harley to get together with Beth, Harley would have been hurt but dusted herself off and moved on, and eventually Beth and Phillip would implode. They didn't bring back one Reardon or Bauer for Mo's funeral...did anyone think they would waste money and energy on poor sad Nadine?
